Listener comments!

  6:04am
Chuck:

Morn! Don't make me spill my coffee!
  6:07am
Meghan:

Morning! Sorry, still setting up here....
  6:10am
Chuck:

Right... I'm adding more to a list of bands on one of DB's facebook entries...
  6:11am
Elwyn:

Good morning/evening!

I'm having dinner and green tea. :-)
  6:12am
Meghan:

Hey there Elwyn!
  6:12am
Chuck:

Yo, Elwyn!
  6:15am
Chuck:

Ah, Julia! Queen of Missouri Blues!
  6:24am
swampsucker don:

i haven't looked at every state but i believe nj was the only state that had 4 songs. poor job considering fmu is in NJ
  6:26am
Meghan:

That is the sad part of being the last state in a set.... sometimes you have to get cut.... No biggie though. We already know we are great here...Don't need to fluff our feathers!
  6:30am
ALF of Hip Hop Slam:

Hello everybody! Hope you all are having a decent morning thus far!
  6:30am
asdfg:

q
  6:31am
Elwyn:

Yo gang! We gotta get out of the South!!!
  6:31am
Meghan:

Morning ALF! How are you this morning?
  6:33am
ALF of Hip Hop Slam:

Busy building a power supply. Can't wait til tomorrow. I took the day off from my 9 to 5er.
  6:34am
Chuck:

Got a problem with banjos, Elwyn? hehe....
  6:38am
ALF of Hip Hop Slam:

Meghan, that song Arkansas Traveler sounded like the same tune used on the Benny Hill show. I guess Arkansas Traveler is the original
  6:39am
Elwyn:

Chuck, yes I do. Do they even have electric banjos yet?
  6:41am
Meghan:

I am imagining a mix of Hee Haw and Benny Hill right now....
  6:43am
Chuck:

Don't think it would be easy to mount a pick-up on a banjo....
  6:45am
Elwyn:

They have had electric violins for years and they are complicated. Surely they can do it with a banjo?
  6:46am
l:

io
  6:48am
Chuck:

The body of a banjo is more like a tambourine, Elwyn. A skin surface probably can't hold a pick-up, well, not without completely changing how it sounds....
  6:50am
Chuck:

Betcha someone has tried it though!
  6:55am
annie:

wow, i told ozzy you were in colorado... i was waay off..
  6:55am
Chuck:

Randy Newman in this set, Meghan?
  6:58am
Meghan:

Nope, Randy didn't make the cut....
  7:00am
Chuck:

Tom Petty, then?
  7:04am
sd:

swdff
  7:08am
Elwyn:

@Meghan: What was Hank III like last night? Was it sold out?
  7:09am
Meghan:

I am going to talk about it in the next break
  7:12am
Marco D Argento:

Mornin Meghan :( whoa cold mornin:(
  7:13am
Meghan:

Morning Marco! Yes, a bit chilly out there... but I'll take that over the heat we have had!
  7:14am
Marco D Argento:

YES MA'AM! I will too!
  7:15am
Marco D Argento:

Had the AC blasting all night! froze my butt off:)
  7:17am
Marco D Argento:

Wish it would stay nice and cool like this:( but the heat is a goin to return:(
  7:20am
Marco D Argento:

So Meghan? If you facebook do you twitter?
  7:27am
hai rammmmm:

whats up man what about you fuzzy logic we are trying to access a logs into us
  7:29am
Meghan:

There erased all that craziness.... Marco, I kinda do both....
  7:32am
Chuck:

Yeah, what was up with the nonsensical comments? Someone just trying to be annoying... GROW UP!
  7:34am
Elwyn:

Probably someone didn't get their coffee or fruit cup this morning.
  7:35am
Jeff:

I love the laso from el paso, but remember you're on the air waves this morning too!
  7:36am
swampsucker don:

meghan i usually really like your show but first charles manson and now a racist song-you can do better
  7:36am
Meghan:

I do! I asked Ken already about it!
  7:36am
robert:

Kinky ran for governor last time. Too bad, but he lost.
  7:37am
annie:

wow... i love this
  7:38am
messica:

I know every word to this movie. I can act it out alone.
  7:39am
Chuck:

I can do the same with Monty Python & the Holy Grail....
  7:40am
messica:

yay! buc, buc, buc, bucaw!
  7:40am
robert:

Messica:

How's your Large Marge?
  7:40am
Chuck:

Nobody here but us chickens... hehe....
  7:42am
Meghan:

Don.... you need to remember we are following the lay of the land... And hell, Kinky Friedman and the Texas Jew Boys are supposed to be like that!
  7:43am
Elwyn:

@Chuck: I bought that and Life of Brian on DVD recently and about 9 other DVDs because there was a buy 2 get 1 free sale. :-)
  7:45am
Chuck:

Cool! There are deals like that sometimes, but most of them don't have that many titles that I really want to own...
  7:47am
Chuck:

You've gotta totally love a film to get it on DVD...
  7:49am
Chuck:

Elwyn, did the sci-fi series "Babylon 5" ever get aired in Australia?
  7:51am
Dave B:

Aw crap... 3 day weekends throw me off.
  7:52am
Chuck:

Morning Dave! Shake it off, my mellow....
  7:53am
Dave B:

And I just sent you a bunch of stuff thinking today was Wednesday. Brian Jonestown Massacre doing Arkansas Revisited
  7:54am
Elwyn:

@Chuck: Yeah. We got B5. My nerd friends and I absolutely loved it. Sometimes I'm tempted to buy it on DVD but there's so much stuff to watch and only so much flat space. I remember, for a week, the guys kept saying "Not the one! Not the one!" Ah! Zaphras - that was his name, right?

Morning Dave! Have a coffee and fruit cup.
  7:54am
Meghan:

I saw it all come in too! I was wondering what was up with that! ha!
  7:56am
Chuck:

I took the plunge, Elwyn! The whole series plus the films on DVD. Hell I named my cat G'Kar! Yup, Zaphras was the name and a funny character you've gotta dig!
  7:57am
qtvgh:

dhdeff
  7:59am
catpatz:

can't you play anything since you're web only?
swell show
  8:00am
Parq:

During the year of the 365 Days project on the FMU blog, there was a Thurl Ravenscroft post with literally dozens of his songs. You can probably still find the page, and it's well worth the effort.
  8:02am
Dave B:

Well, I'll have to get my Charlie fix in the Archives
  8:02am
Chuck:

Morning, Parq! Thanks for the heads up! Always looking for something new...
  8:05am
Chuck:

Whew! My 1st LT. platoon leader when I was in Germany was from Lubbuck, TX. He practically spit out his chewing tobacco when I told him I was from NJ... Ha!
  8:06am
Meghan:

Cat- I am on both the live air and web today! Jewish holiday today!
  8:07am
Chuck:

"New Jersey!" *he grimissed*
  8:09am
Dave B:

Hey Chuck, was up your way this past weekend. Next time I promise I'll give you a holler.

An old friend has a few acres up off 209. He's in the process of building a huge Quonset Hut on his chunk of the mountain..
  8:10am
Chuck:

Where on 209, DB? Kerhonksen? Ellenville? Those are closest to me....
  8:12am
jaw:

I never want this trip to end.
  8:13am
Elwyn:

@Chuck: I probably should get it and rewatch it all. There's so much to get when having a second viewing. I'm also tempted to get Battlestar on Blu-Ray.

I've been buying a lot of series lately: "Dead Like Me", "Breaking Bad" and "Quantum Leap".
  8:13am
Dave B:

Left off 213, kinda near Stone Ridge. The Q hut is something like 40' x 50' x 20' (WDH)
  8:15am
Meghan:

awww Thanks Jaw!
  8:16am
Chuck:

Ah! Stone Ridge is about to same distance. A Quonset would bring me back to my Army days. Hehe...
  8:18am
Chuck:

Have most of Battlestar, Elwyn. Not Blu-ray though, don't have the right player. Thinking about getting a better TV first.
  8:19am
Chuck:

Oh, and I will second Jaw's input, Meghan! Keep going!
  8:21am
Meghan:

I was hoping this would stop my craving to travel, but it is kinda making it worse.....
  8:22am
Chuck:

Soon enough, Meg, soon enough...
  8:23am
Marco D Argento:

So what's your twitter Id:-)
  8:23am
Meghan:

I have two Marco.... stagnantartist and UWThemePark
  8:23am
Elwyn:

@Chuck:
Ah! A couple of years ago, when the government gave every Australian $900 as part of a stimulus package to fight off the GFC, I swore I'd spend it on either a wedding ring or a PlayStation 3. I'm still single and got the PS3 and have never regretted it.... then I had to upgrade my TV setup (42" Full HD plasma)... then went for the surround sound system... then had to get a universal remote...

Anyway, the Blu-Ray is awesome!

Oh yeah. Lots of people, particularly the conservatives complained about the stimulus package but they sure didn't give their cheques back or acknowledge how the Labor government did a good job of fighting off recession.
  8:24am
Meghan:

Chuck, not soon enough! I just noticed my passport expires in March!
  8:25am
catpatz:

aha. mazel tov.
  8:26am
Chuck:

Well you CAN renew a passport, Meg! I can't get one until I find a replacement for my birth certificate. Lost it my last move...
  8:29am
Elwyn:

I hid my passport inside a book but now can't remember which book it was.
  8:30am
Chuck:

OMG, I'm gonna punk!!!
  8:30am
Marco D Argento:

Sardines and brandy ice cream!!! I would vomit just looking at it!!!
  8:30am
Parq:

"Haggis ice cream"???
  8:30am
Chuck:

Ooops, That's puke!!!
  8:33am
Chuck:

Got the surround system, Elwyn. Need the BIG TV! Don't need the game system though. Wouldn't have time to play it and they don't make much in the way of flight simulators for use with such. Love flight simulators!
  8:33am
Elwyn:

Haggis anything = puke... except for the toy Scottish Terrier named Haggic that my sister game me.
  8:34am
Marco D Argento:

BTW if anyone would like to follow me I am @Marco_D_Argento
  8:35am
Chuck:

Doesn't your last name mean 'silver', Marco?
  8:38am
Marco D Argento:

I had it legally changed from mistretta! Sounds a heck of a lot better!
  8:39am
Marco D Argento:

To honor one of my countrymen I took his name. The famous horror writer director
  8:40am
jeff p:

are we back to a part of the country i care about yet?
  8:40am
Chuck:

Yay, Ian!

Interesting, Marco. Never felt the need to change the name I was given. It's sort of unique...
  8:40am
will:

I think you just proved that the bestest songs about Kansas come from the Brits! That Procol Harum song was heaven.
  8:42am
Marco D Argento:

Well over the last year and 6 months ice been under going a transformation:)
  8:43am
Chuck:

Hopefully, not into a werewolf or vampire, Marco! We've got enough of those in the media... hehe...
  8:43am
Dave B:

I'll be back in full force next week! Contractors on my roof, and work awaits.

Have a good week everyone!
  8:44am
johN:

all of these songs should be about Kentucky.
  8:45am
Meghan:

We already drove through Kentucky! I am not backwards!
  8:45am
Marco D Argento:

Well if you saw me you'de say Goth. Or vampire with the way I dress:)
  8:45am
Parq:

Ah, an existential question - is Harrison singing about Kansas City KS or Kansas City MO?
  8:47am
Meghan:

I am not fully sure... i am assuming it's MO... but I lived in Kansas City, KS, so I am taking it back!
  8:48am
Chuck:

Good question, Parq. A harder one would be if the song had Middletown in the title. As I understand it EVERY state has a Middletown....
  8:48am
Marco D Argento:

I guess I would scare Meghan if we passed on the street:)
  8:49am
Parq:

K, I checked with Wikipedia, and "12th St and Vine" is in KC MO. But I am all for your act of repatriation, Miss Meg.
  8:49am
Chuck:

You don't know Meghan then, Marco! There is little that frightens her, except clowns... Ha!
  8:50am
Marco D Argento:

I think Meghan would say "is everything you wear black"
  8:52am
Chuck:

Well, that does sort of make doing laundry easier... hehe....
  8:52am
Marco D Argento:

Being honest I look like I stepped off a bad b horror movie
  8:53am
tj:

no kansas the band itself? is it limited to song titles? this is a fun theme, and for two weeks (that i've been present...)!
  8:53am
Meghan:

yeah, it takes a lot to shock me.... Clowns would make me run away... or beat you up. Hate Clowns....
  8:53am
Chuck:

As it happens, I think most of the regular theme park attendees love bad B horror movies!
  8:53am
Meghan:

Thanks TJ! It's fun to do
  8:54am
Marco D Argento:

How about Dracula. That's what they say I'm trying to imatate
  8:55am
jeff p:

OK everyone, have a great day! With any luck I'll get out of this funk I'm in for no reason whatsover....
  8:55am
Marco D Argento:

Meghan "don't bite my neck my blood isn't tasty this time of the morning" :-)
