Willie Dixon	I Ain't Superstitious	Not sure when this one was written-- the CD was (re)issued in 1993-- but this guy is amazing. I saw him before he died; he was a class act. No Wolf but wrote the best blues ever.
Howlin' Wolf	Evil "Evil" by "Howlin' Wolf"	This version is from a 2-record album ("Chester Burnett aka Howlin' Wolf") on Chess-- every song is killer. And he wrote this one, not Willie Dixon.
The Psychedelic Aliens	Blogonyobi Wo Atale	Evil R&R from Ghana, from the 70s.

Ozomatli w/ David Hidalgo	Aqui No Sera	A rare ballad from these L.A. rockers. Muy dulce!
Sandy Nelson	Happenings Ten Years Time Ago	This jazz drummer did some interesting things with R&R songs, like this Yardbirds classic.
Chubby Checker w/ Dee Dee Sharp	Slow Twistin'	From a strange album Chubby produced-- and sometimes sings on-- with a band called Texas Radio. Seriously mediocre, although this one is cool.
Gregorz Z Ciechowa	Piejo Kury Piejo	I guess this is a traditional Polish number, although it sound fresh and new.
La Primitifs du Futur	C'est la Goutte L'Or qui fait deborder la Valse	A great album of French/Gypsy w/ Dominque Cravic, Robert Crumb, Fay Lovsky and more. From 1999, on Harmonia Mundi
Fay Lovsky & la Bande Dessinee	Funny Bizniz	All the CDs we have from her are from the late 1990s; anyone know if she is still making music?
The Ting Tings	That's Not My Name	What is this? Who played this? Eugene? Stacey? You can call me Al.

I don't like all of his stuff, but he indirectly taught me a lot, I met a bunch of his high school classmates over the years. They probably looked down on him at the time, now they brag about the connection. Scary thing is I wouldn't have been any better.

But I was not part of the original Sevres/Mano Negra scene.I have to make that clear. I'll get to you later, for what it's worth, which isn't much

	6:38pm Tentley Bebinef: Actually I know the Ting Tings aren't your usual playlist, but I love how this song builds. I saw them live in Boston (all 2 of them) and even an old 60's hippie like me was on the floor writhing in ecstasy. Or we were on ecstasy. Can't remember much anymore.

	6:58pm Kevin: Steve, It seems like Manu Chao has performed every summer in NYC for the last 10 years! He usually plays the park stages in Manhattan and Brooklyn. I also enjoy the Amadou & Miriam album I know many of my friends in Barcelona have had mixed experiences with MC as a person, I have enjoyed Mano Negra and MC music for some time. I also kick myself for not going to see him perform in Chiapas Mexico in 2000. He showed up at this tiny bar and played all night
