I never miscue a record. I am punctual, well-prepared, and dislike clutter. Outgoing and helpful, I'm always appropriately dressed. I do not behave erratically and have excellent penmanship. My CD's never skip, and I am in good health. I like all the notes, in any order.

is this the famed "sheep whisperer"?
  12:15pm
Ike:

Reaping the sonic dust whirlwind at 11:15 p.m. in an Internet cafe in Siem Reap. Broadband here is not as bad as I'd heard. I can get the Flash stream so what else do I need?
  12:15pm

It's about damn time, Friday. Now turn up the spurious noise!
  12:15pm

Don't let that bastard Dali near it, BSI. It'll never be the same.
  12:21pm
Ike:

Wait, let me double-check. Let's see. Are there 726 tuk-tuk drivers outside this cafe ready to accost me offering rides and/or all kinds of unsavory services? Yep. Are there lots of white people drinking Angkor Beer? Yep. OK, yes, def. Cambodia. Sadly I'm coming home in a couple of days though.
  12:21pm
bryce:

  12:24pm

  12:27pm
Carmichael:

  12:28pm
BSI:

...or like some old Dieter Moebius track submerged in beeswax. Very awesome. Oh wait, it's gone in another direction now...
  12:40pm
Ike:

What the fuck is a tuk kolok?

Had some durian ice cream in the semi-hidden Thai food court (mostly w/airport employees) in BKK airport. Smelled and tasted stronger than most actual durian. Actual durian has been delicious this time. Longkongs great too. Ayutthaya is a bit flooded.
  12:43pm
mattunderwood:

that was pretty. weird. i'm gonna look that guy up.
  12:46pm

"Whilst having traditional sonic qualities such as pitch, timbre, rhythm and key, the sounds produced are best described as a deep space atmosphere with hums and electro-pings, even spiders can be heard as they collide or strut up and down the wire!"

slugluv1313:

reading these comments -- bummed i missed Ghédalia -- but sure sounds like he would actually make working in the kitchen FUN! (and omg, "Ghédalia," is that somehow derived from . . . GHEDE -- ??!!??)
  1:34pm
bryce:

hahaa, thanks mark. :) it was an odd experience, to be sure, and included an awards event put on by a broadcast production company that did 8 MTV Video Music Awards & The Ricky Martin Superbowl Special (wherein mr. martin parachuted out of an aeroplane, then unzipped his suit & grabbed a mic). tons of fun, tho, to inexplicably see something at the gugg for a couple days. plus i got to jaw with the preposterously down-to-earth marilyn minter for a half-blip and met some very lovely people who i'll be keeping in touch with. my parents were very happy. :)

joe, NO!! really??? xoxo, or at least o

cecile, isn't phil minton on that one?? if i ever catch him, i'm going to put his larynx in a glass tube and hook it up to my vacuum cleaner

slug, holy shit, that never occurred to me. makes perfect sense though, hahaa

Bryce, good point. In this case, it looks like La Baita might just be the distributor. They may also do affinage. In any event, taleggio is a damn good cheese and I'm not surprised you almost ate your arm off.
