  3:16pm Mat Stinson:

How do I get me some Ocobar?
  3:20pm QE number 2:

  3:58pm v k:

@Irwin - the trio is unlikely to delve into monetary policy - merely world class progressive jazz
  4:03pm postmanpaul:

  4:19pm Lizardner Dave:

Well said Irwin. Well said.
  4:24pm TRS:

Not to mention the veteran veterinarians. And veterinarian veterans.
  4:31pm marq:

I am a veteran and was a vegetarian at one point. Maybe that is why I am so crazy. Either the gulf war did it to me or the vegetables.
  4:32pm BSI:

Love is a battlefield.
  4:32pm BSI:

Love and carrot juice.
  4:37pm Jan:

Can't let that treacly song about private malone pass w/o
Comment. I appreciate vets including corvettes and Korvettes
But that song hit all the cliches except for apple pie.
  4:42pm marq:

today is my birthday. good to be able to listen to Irwin live and not from archives. thanks, irwin. good show. family coming by later. have pigs heads roasting. tomorrow is veterans day and I always have a hard time that day because I am a veteran and experienced some bad things. but I have wfmu.
  4:45pm american:

thanks, marq. really.
  4:46pm american:

and enjoy them pig heads and your birthday!
  4:46pm Bad Ronald:

Happy Birthday Marq! Glad you made it out alive. Thanks.
  4:47pm David:

Damn! I missed Amanda!!
  4:50pm Ahhnoholt:

Thank God! I missed Amanda!!
  4:53pm marq:

not to be mistaken. I am an "old" veteran from 20 years ago. not from the recent crap. hard to believe the gulf war was 20 years ago. I will enjoy the pigs heads. they came from a local farmer. roasting two of them and making head cheese with the other two.
  4:55pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

oh man, marq, that sounds so gross!
  4:55pm John McCabe in LA:

I love Irwin and the music he plays but his jingoistic rant I don't go for. I care about the vets it's just too bad at have nothing but asshole presidents send them to die for thins that have nothing to do with our freedom. we spend a lot of money on the front end fighting the war then we forget about the vet and have them seek charity to meet there need it just show how hypocritical the whole thing is. spend tomorrow watching "Born on the 4th of July"
  4:58pm tom cruise:

and don't forget to pay for it!
  5:00pm I heard a rumor:

Is it true that Corwood's Pupil is an actual bastard son of The Representative?
  5:02pm Lizardner Dave:

Marq made me hungry for some jowls. Or snout - yes, I have eaten pig snout. At Blue Hill at Stone Barns. Imagine if you will something with the texture of calimari and the flavor of bacon. It is that good.
  5:02pm politics here?:

  5:06pm JT:

jesus did you have to play this song right now. it makes me cry because i know what it's about
  5:07pm marq:

the pig heads were skinned already so there is no snout and ears. Just all of the meat and the eyeballs. and yes. I am from a working class family and joined the army at aged 17 to pay for college. it paid for my college and now i have a masters degree. until we as a society help the working class and poor the miltary will keep feeding on it.
  5:08pm KM:

Joanna Newsome?? I just heard some wierd/cool brit rap preceded by Neil Young... where are we?
  5:09pm v k:

Clientele fans - check this video (after Irwin's show) - really captures essence of Clientele to me - http://bandstandbusking.com/artist/the-clientele
  5:14pm Parq:

Irwin, could you post an archives link, or at least a program date, for that Joanna Newsom set?
  5:15pm marq:

I need some Amanda
  5:15pm Matt Reynolds:

Irwin...you have the best show on FMU!
  5:16pm Lizardner Dave:

Parrq - it's on the playlist part of the playlist.
  5:16pm Irwin:

Joanna Newsom: June 23, 2004
  5:17pm marq:

Matt: of course he does. He's Irwin.
  5:18pm Matt Reynolds:

yeah...youre right.
  5:20pm Matt Reynolds:

i just saw another mystery missile...
  5:25pm Parq:

@Irwin- many thanks.

@L.Dave - oh, right - d'oh.
  5:27pm Aharon:

The Mendoza Line does more things with pitch than a couple of 18th-century seadogs and Randy Johnson combined.
  5:31pm marq:

How does Irwin know how to play the perfect things for us all to put on a great radio show? He is magic!
  5:33pm Irwin:

@marq: prepare for the worst
  5:33pm Listening Out There:

For appropriate names to lavish on the current DJ, also see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Kim_Jong-il's_titles
  5:34pm Matt Reynolds:

cant wait for the worst..
  5:39pm marq:

still listening. preparing for the worst. parents are coming over at anytime.
  5:40pm Matt Reynolds:

play some Guinea Worms!!!
  5:42pm Listener John:

This Amanda IS putting us on, isn't she?

I don't sense a truly bizarre person behind the songs I've heard from this record; it seems to me that in her songs she is putting on a performance of being a truly unbalanced person.

But hey, maybe I'm wrong . . .
  5:42pm marq:

parents probably won't be here before the end of the show. wife and kid allowing me to listen to the show in my studio lair until parents arrive.
  5:43pm Amanda Listener:

@L. John -- She sounds like a sane kind to me, just sans ritalin.
  5:45pm Savory C:

love the Kate rubber band selection Irwin!
  5:46pm marq:

A lot of insane kids out there. A lot more insane parents. Amanda is genuine kid and feels it. Genuine human being and we feel it when we listen to her.
  5:54pm marq:

so nice. thanks. Irwin.
  5:55pm Laura L:

Thanks for a another mighty fine show in a series of thousands, Irwin.
  5:57pm marq:

I can still flick my pecks with the muscles from when I was a young soldier. even though I am older and covered with an thin layer of fat over them.
  5:57pm Alternate Title:

Thank You Falletin Me Be Bo Dddley Again, and Thank You Troops
