Just having a similar conversation with the family last night about such things. Anyone heard of the mound people that lived in North America several hundred years before any Europeans arrived? By the time Europeans arrived this great panamerican civilization that once was was at that point wiped out and reduced to savages that the pilgrims and such encountered. North America wasn't always just a land of sparsely populated regions like the history we are taught in school says. It was just as complex in the centuries prior as maybe China was. But got wiped out a couple of centuries before the Europeans arrived. How?
