Me personally wm. i think you have had one of the best shows on wfmu you've had TOMB,Husere Grav, C.Lav,Metal Rouge etc. live on your show but, the one band that i think you should have live on your show is Wold. I know you don't take request but they would be perfect on the castle of quiet.
  1:26am
dave:

Wm.:

Hey, I'd love to have WOLD on the program. Their live show was fantastic; but since it was set up by Matthew Barney, and ran at Barney's private space, I doubt that a lowly worm such as myself could score a live in-studio performance. They also live in Saskatchewan, so a journey of that distance would have to be worth their while, dollar-wise. I have exchanged the odd email with their members.
  1:37am
Rory T.:

Why would a band like Wold care for money to play on your show. If i had a band i would play on wfmu for free. fuck money
  1:45am
coalhard:

in the words of george c scott--from the movie dr. strangelove--we must not allow a WOLD deficet
  1:45am
Wm.:

Perhaps. They still, in a practical sense, have to get themselves here from Saskatchewan. It also depends on what part of the province they live in, though I got the impression they lived in the North, rather than the South, where there's a greater population. I'm sure Matthew Barney at the very least covered their travel expenses.

dw:

Flying on the plane eh.
  1:51am
Rory T.:

True. Having been a fan of their music for sometime i get the feeling they dont play live that much if at all it was a huge shock to hear that they were in new york in Auguest i live in St.Louis so the odds of ever seeing them play live is 0%
  1:51am
dour:

haha greater population, are you kidding? Besides, they are in Winnipeg. All of Saskatchewan is hell.
  1:53am
Wm.:

I posted a video of from that show; enjoy - http://vimeo.com/14172559
  1:54am
Rory T.:

Wm your the best!
  1:54am
Wm.:

I only meant that WOLD lived in the North of Saskatchewan, rather than the South, hence more traveling to NY/NJ.
