Listener comments!

  8:19pm SI Dave:

Thanks for the Arthur Pryor!
  8:19pm Rockin' Ed:

The Whistler and his Dog was used in one of the Our Gang/Little Rascals movies-but I can't remember which one. I do know it was with Buckwheat doing the pantomime
  8:30pm Robert:

Found it quickly, thanks, but by searching the domain wsj.com rather than "Wall Street Journal".
  8:37pm Robert:

Until I saw it in the article, I hadn't realized what Rich Conaty has to go thru now to get the contents of 78s on air. I'd been introduced to him at a party in 1982, but I hadn't been listening when WFUV ditched their last 78 RPM turntable, at which time I assume he'd've told the story.
  8:42pm Patrick:

Go-Zin-To is a great twisty song. It's amazing to hear some of these unexpected lyrics. Unusual as usual, Mac.
  8:43pm Madi H:

A chef will need algebra more than most people on a day-to-day basis. If you need to feed 24 people 1/4 of a chicken each, how many chickens to buy?
  8:43pm Robert:

Funny...just weeks ago I disabused the notion the student I was tutoring in pre-calculus (basically advanced algebra) had that it would ever be useful in her life. She's a professional violinist, but even as a scientist I have no use for the math she's studying.
  8:46pm Patrick:

Harry Lauder needs help
  8:51pm Jason:

This last record, with the laughs, had me laughing along. Which made my family laugh.
  8:52pm Seminal:

lichen it...
  8:56pm Seminal:

turn your head...
  8:56pm Seminal:

thank you
  8:59pm Rockin' Ed:

What about an Okeh barfing record??--which couild be played along to any Taylor Swift or Lady Gaga song.
  9:14am MAC's CO host:

It was awesome to be on the show for the 4th time with MAC again! Thank you to all the people who listened and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
