  7:36pm
Pahz:

My son's laptop was attacked and it took me two days to get the right thing downloaded onto my (brand new!) desktop that would work on the thing with his laptop.
  7:37pm
Pahz:

His changed his background image and was so very clearly not a real virus alert (it misspelled various words, like "yourr'e"). It was his first major purchase from his first job last summer. I wasn't going to let it go without a fight!
  7:38pm
Richard from Venezuela:

Good Night Monica.
  7:40pm
Don (trip dub):

Ironically, Tekserve (the Apple store) was taking electronics for recycling today. I wonder if its a coincidence or something the Apple folks cooked up.
  7:41pm
Fiona DeWitt:

Nothing to do with computers.
But I just found the food filter on my dishwasher. Made my night.
The joys of the Modern Age.
  7:42pm
~L:

I had your exact virus a couple of months ago. The virus fried my computer and did irreparable damage. I wasn't able to run any virus software, either. This had happened last summer too, only that virus said the I was downloading porn, which really freaked me out, so I combatted that one by turning my computer off and giving up on it for a couple of weeks. After that, it seemed like the virus stopped trying and my computer worked for a few more months, until this last one. I did end up buying a Mac, because I can't go through this again. I know you said you didn't want to hear that, but it is true.
  7:42pm
texas scott:

just got a new laptop.tried to transfer mp3 files from one to another.
I'm no techie. After cussin' and spendin' more money, problem solved.
It's hell trying to broadcast without stuff.
  7:43pm
Don (trip dub):

In the immortal words of George Harrison, "Elmore James has nothin' on this one."
  7:44pm
Gigi:

Just discovered this show. Amazing. Every song is a gem. Thanks Monica
  7:47pm
Pahz:

My computer previous to this almost-brand new (in November) was seven years old. Never had a virus, never had any maintenance on it. I always ran scans and defragged it once a month, I took such good care of it that when it finally gave up the ghost, I argued with it.

Luckily, my parents are generous and bought me a new computer for Christmas (birthday, Mother's Day, Groundhog day)... otherwise my meager photography business would have stopped dead in its tracks, as opposed to the floundering and flailing its doing instead.
  7:47pm
monica:

  7:50pm

Hi Mo, smug Mac user here, so I won't go into all that. But I did want to thank you for turning Irwin on to Bruz Fletcher, wayward Hoosier and chanteur(?) He was one of THE Fletchers of Indianapolis, doncha know--as in American Fletcher Nat'l Bank ffs!
  7:50pm

RIP Bobby Robinson. There was some amazing photos of him with R&B royalty in that store. About your PC woes - not advertising - try Webroot Anti-virus and spysweeper. That'll take care of what ails and prevent things in the future.

Hello DJ Monica. I had what seems like the same virus a few months ago. Fortunately I had the phone number for McAfee custiomer service and they put me in contact with a fellow in Calcutta who comandeered my screen and mouse after entering through my isp. It took aboiut one and a half hours and cost 89.95 but it was worth it to sit there and watch the high speed antics . And Haleel was a doll!

Great show as usual Monica.
The Happy Anniversary song cracked me up, especially because I never forgot it after hearing it when I was a kid. I've always thought of that song whenever I heard the phrase. When we saw that show, (35 years ago?,) my brother and sister and I cracked about those idiots and sang that song for days. Wow! Nothing but gems on your show.
  6:40pm
Paul:

Awesome graphics - and hysterical!
