The program formerly known as Dinner at Andy's, The Fuzzy Glove Hour, Whores, and The Happiness Hut. Ken and Andy, also known as The Enema Boys, further lower WFMU's already abysmal standards on a weekly basis. Stunt radio which subjects the radio audience to concepts and topics which mature adults should not have to endure. Find the fatal flaw. (Visit homepage.)

  6:05pm
Hunter:

I have danced with these lovely ladies at the Loop Lounge...they always go there after one of their meets. Last time I danced with half the team...
  6:05pm
UCB Audience:

We actually make Monk's ratings seem big.
  6:06pm
Danne D:

PMD - a webcam totally would've great tonight particularly :(
  6:07pm
Suggestion Box:

You could try naked mud pit roller derby, honies.
  6:08pm
Hunter:

@ Suggestion Box...have some respect. You would never have the guts to say that to their faces...
  6:08pm
Danne D:

Good Suggestion!
But maybe not on the work computer...
  6:08pm
Suggestion Box:

o yeah???
  6:09pm
Danne D:

I took the suggestion as generic, Hunter, not pertaining to this particular group of ladies.
  6:09pm
MISTER JOHNNY:

Andy is gonna bash one of the girls with his microphone to see just how tough she is!!!
  6:11pm
Suggestion Box:

Ken sounds a little too interested now!
  6:14pm
Julie:

Is anyone else thinking "WFMU Fundraiser Roller Derby?"
  6:14pm
Suggestion Box:

http://gardenstaterollergirls.com/

"Want to get in on this Jersey Fresh action?"
  6:14pm
Danne D:

The mind boggles Julie :)
  6:15pm
Danne D:

Ken's done a lot of research...
  6:15pm
Julie:

My sister has gone to a bout, and apparently, yeah, they are really fun. Wish I was at UCB right now!
  6:15pm
Danne D:

Great radio having Andy skate all the way across the room...
  6:16pm
Danne D:

Me too Julie :(
  6:16pm
MISTER JOHNNY:

Ken leaves his wallet unattended backstage?!?
Madness.
  6:17pm
Danne D:

Big difference between Andy's wallet and Ken's wallet.
  6:17pm
Suggestion Box:

Partial List of Stage Names from their site:

Angry Beaver
Belle N. Somebashin'
Betty Barracuda
Bitty Boom Boom
BoneSaw
Bozie Banger

What were you saying again, Hunter? LMAO
  6:17pm
hamburger:

@Danne D: Coupons?
  6:17pm
MISTER JOHNNY:

Andy should race a guest every show.
  6:18pm
Danne D:

BoneSaw is a very scary name...
  6:19pm
hamburger:

yea, out of all of those, that one sounds the fiestiest
  6:20pm
hamburger:

  6:20pm
MISTER JOHNNY:

Is Andy still sweating, ya think?
  6:21pm
hot diggity:

Ryan Schreiber! Ask him about that review where he gave Pet Sounds a 7 or something and said we didn't need it anymore because we have Olivia Tremor Control now
  6:21pm
Danne D:

any relation to Avery Schreiber?
  6:22pm
Musicians:

All hail the King of the Slate Off
  6:22pm
MISTER JOHNNY:

Did Joey Heatherton ever skate roller-derby???
  6:22pm
Julie:

Hey someone else remembers Avery Schreiber!
  6:23pm
Danne D:

LOL Yep Julie :)

Though the show predates me, Avery Schreiber is about the only redeeming thing about My Mother The Car
  6:25pm
big fan, big big fan:

Please also read his John Coltrane "Live at the Village Vanguard" review to him. The one that starts "We was sittin’ there watchin’ the stage. Waitin’ for the man they called Coltrane to come out and do his thing" and then just goes on like that for five paragraphs
  6:25pm
Julie:

Oh I never saw that! I think I must've seen him on game shows or something, not knowing where he came from.
  6:27pm
Matt from Springfield:

@hamburger: There's a sample of Andy's "folk" output for you!
  6:27pm
hamburger:

:) yay!
  6:28pm
Danne D:

He was on the old Match Game a lot, Julie :)

By the way, every episode of My Mother the Car is on Hulu. It really is as detestable a show as is reputation. Episode 12 of the series is probably the nadir of the entire series. Check it out.
  6:31pm
Matt from Springfield:

I once saw an episode of My Mother The Car on TV Land or something like it, but you have to admit: it inspired the Simpsons short "Love-Matic Grandpa", which kind of redeems its otherwise banal existence.
  6:31pm
Julie:

Love-Matic Grandpa? I think I've found my Valentine!
  6:32pm
Danne D:

LOL Julie!
  6:33pm
hamburger:

do ya hear what I hear :D
  6:34pm
Matt from Springfield:

Yes, LOL Julie!
And LOL Andy!
  6:37pm
Robert:

"My Mother the Car" had one great routine: Musical unemployment. I can't remember a single bit outside of that.
  6:38pm
Danne D:

Seriously it's worth watching as an excercise in bad TV. A team full of Andy Breckmans wouldn't be able to save it.
  6:42pm
Hunter:

Bring back the rollergirls!
  6:42pm
Ike:

Actually 7.4 and 7.5 are really high ratings by Pitchfork standards. Not too many albums get anything much higher. What if they'd found a musician who got a really dismal Pitchfork rating, like a 3?
  6:47pm
Matt from Springfield:

Andy, just go now and they'll play to the end of the show! You're FREE!
  6:47pm
Robert:

There better be a really good cymbal crash after this.
  6:48pm
Matt from Springfield:

@Robert: Burn!
  6:48pm
Danne D:

Sort of like Dead Air Chicken except with drums
  6:54pm
-max-:

Loop it for hours on end, and you have a Kenny G. show.
  6:55pm
Danne D:

Hey kids - try this at home - your parents will love it!
  6:56pm
dave:

Painful, sure enough max. Bad neighbors.
  6:57pm
Old Hollywood Movie Set in Africa:

The drums, the drums, I can't take it any more, I'm going CRAZEEEEEE
  6:57pm
Danne D:

Have a good night everyone :)

Bye Julie, enjoy My Mother the Car!
  6:57pm
john bonham:

not bad. not bad at all.
