"Urgh!" is fabulous. The Police and the other Copeland brothers helped put it together, and it ranges from heavyweights of punk, post-punk and new wave (like Devo, Dead Kennedys, Go-Gos, Oingo Boingo, UB40, Echo and the Bunnymen, Cramps, Gary Numan, Joan Jett, XTC, Pere Ubu) down through degrees of fame to wonderful lesser knowns: Klaus Nomi, Splodgeness Abounds, Athletico Spizz 80, Skafish, Steel Pulse, 999 and so forth. Outtakes abound, as well, for the procrastinator and the web detective alike.

Agreed, I'm jealous of the umlaut.

Also, my profound irritation at Morrissey eventually gave way to a more pronounced annoyance by Michael Stipe. There's no pompadour to make his whining tolerable.
Everyone, if you like the punk-to-new-wave era, check out "Urgh!"
