  7:13pm Radio Schtick:

@marq: Ever heard of me?
7:13pm Dont Let The Man win:

I heard that if every listener sent just $10 each the station would be secure. But they don't, we have to make up for them. Fortunately the great swag makes up for chipping in for the losers who listen and don't pledge.
  7:15pm CREEKS!:

  7:15pm CREEKS!:

  7:48pm Philly Tune:

Cream? or Cheese? Your call!
  7:49pm Richard from Venezuela:

When frangry and keili sing?
  7:51pm Ears:

Andy clearly has a talk-only show, no music. :-)
  7:53pm Joshua K:

Too funky for me.
7:53pm Thomas Sings Beatles (Irwin show):

Hey, Andy, I'm workin' this side of the street. Amscray.
  7:54pm Looms:

  7:54pm Robert:

Encore from Andy C.!
  7:54pm Richard from Venezuela:

second that looms
  7:54pm John McCabe in L.A.:

hey Andy you did ok
  7:57pm Programming Note:

@Richard and Looms: You always save some of your most audience-luring stuff for late in the show. That way people hang in there through the whole show. This show's got four hours plus to run.
  7:59pm Looms:

@Programming Note: I have to go to sleep quite soon (1AM here) so i keep asking: where are the girls and the go-go dancers?!? ;)
  8:00pm Richard from Venezuela:

then frangry and keili and liz will be the last acts. :( . No problem, Hoof & Mouth Sinfonia rocks.
  8:01pm Richard from Venezuela:

PGB is stoned? XD
  8:01pm dub lynch fan:

wow this is really great
  8:01pm Programming Note:

@Looms, in UK time zone: The last hour of this show (1130-1230AM US east coast) happens at 430-530AM Monday your time. My thought: Are you an early riser, or in possession of an alarm of some kind? :-)
  8:02pm Brandon:

ahh the pixies
  8:04pm John McCabe in L.A.:

this guy looks like chris elliot as the fugitive guy
  8:07pm Manhattan Commuter:

I've heard arrangements and singing like this walking through subway corridors.
  8:10pm Michael:

"In Ethiopa, Everything is Fine"?
  8:10pm Richard from Venezuela:

Great Chris-T.
  8:11pm Andy in Iowa City:

God I love WFMU. A Mouse pledge and one "cherry on top" already paid for, but I may be persuaded by the end of the night to pledge again.
  8:11pm Looms:

@Programming Note: I am an early riser but not SUCH an early riser.
Pretty good show so far.
  8:14pm Danne D:

there is literally nothing Bryce cannot do!
  8:17pm Ike:

@ProgNote: I don't think you took the time change into acct. Aren't we only 4 hrs off from the UK for now? 5hrs from western Euro. @ManComm: Um, personally I've never heard singing this... Jandek-esque in the subway! Ha!
  8:17pm Programming Note:

@Looms: Maybe the setlist and rough schedule for the Sinfonia is posted somewhere that someone on the board knows. If not, it couldn't hurt for a setlist to be put up, for those with scheduling and sleep issues, so they can plan. :-)
  8:20pm Programming Note:

@Ike: Looms said it was 1AM where he is when it was 8PM in NYC. That's 5 hours. I just figured he knew what time it is where he's located. XD
  8:20pm Carl:

The Rob Weisberg performance definitely the best so far. Brilliant.
  8:21pm Robert:

Excellent, I'd just like to know what language that is.
  8:23pm Brooklynite:

@Robt.: Rob's singing reminded me a little of being at a Jewish Orthodox wedding reception.
  8:24pm Looms:

I am in France, 5 hours off. Ike's right but hey! it's a party, don't hurt each others kidoos :)
  8:25pm pierre:

bravo wfmu, et bon courage pour la fin du Marathon !
  8:26pm Looms:

France is in the house! Salut Pierre!
  8:27pm Brooklynite:

Merci beaucoup! Thanks buckets!
  8:27pm Richard from Venezuela:

  8:28pm pierre:

  8:28pm Ze Dshermin:

Hey parents, try getting a little buzzed and watching the Hoof & Mouth Sinfonia, it's almost like actually being there
  8:29pm Ike:

RotFL @ Ken goofing on JM in the AM.
  8:30pm Robert:

Last night I was sitting around a table at Maggie's Tavern in Little Falls and observed everyone but me pledge $1,000 to a pot that's going toward acquisition of land and construction of a church some day.
  8:31pm Robert:

I meant 1,000 apiece. Except maybe one couple combined.

So all this is to say this is doable, even with deadbeats like me around.
  8:36pm pierre:

surface noise is a great show
Mc Gasko !
  8:37pm JJ:

WFMU reaching its goal, DJ's singing, the apocalypse has begun.

  9:22pm Joshua K:

I just gave extra on top of my swag 4 life because I care.
  9:23pm Robert:

Really, carrying debt from year to year? Couldn't you make up that amount just by having people bring their own toilet paper & paper towels, like we wound up doing at the local Census office last year?
  9:23pm Ozzies for FMU:

Throw another pledge on the barbie!!!!!!
  9:25pm Bas, NL:

Soooooo near!!!
  9:26pm Ozzies for FMU:

  9:26pm Pudy:

Dana and anyone else from the Twin Cities, join up on Facebooks WFMU Twin Cities Listeners Club!!
9:26pm Tom ( The Bactrian Support Network ):

going by beach chair and baloon? it's a lovely moon out now ?
  9:28pm Marmalade kitty:

Whats the band line up anyone please? Scott Williams guitar, far right..?
  9:28pm Gordon:

@Robert -- It never fails to amaze me how well WFMU is run, and how much the station accomplishes, on so little money. And, indeed, the debt situation is very serious.
  9:28pm Robert:

How about turning the heat off at night, assuming the tenants downstairs clear out? Staff can wear overcoats. (We did that at the LCO too.) Cold doesn't bother the equipment, only heat does. But condensation on them might be bad.
  9:30pm Martha:

Lookin' for calls man - lookin' for calls - 1-800-9879-9368 -
  9:31pm Robert:

Of course teeth chattering on mike don't sound so good either.
  9:32pm Martha:

Also a salute to Scott W. for covering one of the great songs of all time - and to the "backing band," of course -
  9:32pm Rebecca:

Coming up in the next set after Scott Williams will be Mike Lupica, Dan Bodah, Irwin, Gaylord Fields, Irene, Keili and Ken
  9:33pm Pudy:

Are you young? Good looking? Aggressive? If your answer to any of these questions is yes, we can't use you. Call today for an appointment.
9:33pm Tom ( The Bactrian Support Network ):

Amazing sound ... I've seen bands with 10X the euquipment, and not know how to use it !! ie ... Scots rythm on his SG .. == swweet !!! .. you can actually hear the bass clear and rigth on the drums and the lead guitars just pulsing along now with the occasional feedback and the vocals right on top too!!! Well Done !!!! SCot !!!!
  9:34pm Marmalade kitty:

Mean band!!
  9:35pm Robert:

Or...maybe you could "forget" when some of your donors have already sent in their pledged donations, and "remind" them to send them. We're burned-out hippies out here, we don't remember so well, we'll send it again.
  9:35pm Dan B From Upstate:

The band, oh my god, the band. Excellent this year as always!
  9:36pm dc pat:

9:37pm Tom ( The Bactrian Support Network ):

I only have barebone DSL connection can see and hear it as well too I am so glad !!!
  9:37pm Ken:

We're 63k away peoples!!
  9:38pm Robert:

You could stretch the coffee in the percolator with vacuum cleaner bag contents...burned out hippies, never taste the difference, etc.
  9:39pm Tony:

I had to donate as I've been listening to a lot of old Monica shows! It's only fair I give some money. Keep up the good work... England needs radio like this!
9:39pm Tom ( The Bactrian Support Network ):

  9:55pm Ralph:

Channeling Steve Martin and Bernadette Peters.
  9:55pm Robert:

I don't think that was a kazoo; I think it was a bird call.
  9:57pm Bird:

Did someone call me? And what the hell species of bird was that, by the way?
  9:58pm Matt from Springfield:

@Ralph: Oh, did they sing that in "The Jerk"? I was trying to think where I first heard that song, and it's been awhile since I've seen that.
  9:59pm JJ:

I haven't listened to other marathon finales. Is there any DJ that can actually sing, you know, in tune?
  10:00pm Listener:

Dan and Gayloard could do a duet next year as Two Live Moose.
  10:01pm Robert:

All you need is ONE WEEK to run a Post Office "annex" to sell "postage" stamps. There's got to be some people who'll fall for that, wrong end of the parking lot, etc.
  10:02pm Jay:

Our lack of singing ability is part of our charm. For god's sake we spend mowst of the year talking into the void alone in dark rooms.
  10:04pm gerardo:

Jay, you read my thoughts!!
Hola a todos, acá, desde Santiago de Chile!
  10:04pm Listener:

@Jay: True dat. We tease because we love.
  10:04pm wht:

how about chris stubbs doing "hocus pocus" a couple years ago?
  10:07pm Dan B From Upstate:

JJ check out HotRod's past performances, but the "bad" performances are what make it fun!
  10:07pm Robert:

There's a line of turkeys now waddling toward Maxwell's.
  10:08pm Matt from Springfield:

Again, Irwin's Bird Call, or whatever that is...
  10:08pm Jay:

Gerardo! I just ran that through googe translate! That's awesome.
  10:09pm Matt from Springfield:

@Robert: An authentic Turkey Trot! And a new special at Maxwell's!
10:09pm Tom ( The Bactrian Support Network ):

I hope the one in Staten Island Gobble their way out .....
  10:10pm gerardo:

  10:12pm Matt from Springfield:

Not to mention that Keili may be the first person to cover a MASH-UP in a live radio broadcast performance!! Ecstasy!!!!
  10:13pm Elwyn:

  10:13pm Jesus:

  10:13pm brandon:

  10:14pm Dan B From Upstate:

Mind blowing.
  10:15pm Parq:

Back in the phone room here. We luvvved the Keili number!
  10:15pm Robert:

These are longer sets and with more vocalists than I remember in any other Hoof & Mouth. I'm trying to remember what year the Hoof & Mouth started.
  10:16pm Jesus:

he is druuuunk
  10:16pm Matt from Springfield:

@Parq: Thanks for volunteering!
Wow, it looks like the Bird Call attracted Ken!!
  10:18pm Dan B From Upstate:

Somebody hates salamander tonight.
  10:18pm WooT:

The drunken Ken, always a HOOT. Just ask John Darnielle.
  10:18pm Matt from Springfield:

Oh shit, Neil Young's going down, with a drunken Ken and Sing A Long!
  10:19pm Brian:

Perfect song choice for as drunk as Ken is.
  10:19pm Marie:

I love you Ken. It takes a lot of balls to get up and do what you are doing.
  10:19pm brandon:

At first I thought he was acting really well, but I think Ken is throughly drunk
  10:21pm texas scott:

ken is smashed
  10:21pm Marie:

Yeah, Brandon, I see what you mean.
  10:21pm Robert:

He is acting...excellently. Sober as Andy.
  10:21pm Sarah:

How did Ken manage to get so drunk so quickly? He sounded quite sober not too long ago.
  10:22pm brandon:

I can't decide if he's acting or not...
  10:22pm WooT:

@brandon : Ken says why fake it, when with a "few" shots you can straight-up MAKE it?
  10:22pm Don (trip dub):

Ken with the Screamin' Jay Hawkins walk stick and Philip Morris page hat. Love it.
  10:22pm Sarah:

  10:22pm pugmalley:

he is at a bar...
  10:23pm brandon:

@WooT: tell ken he will be giving me many installments of $2 in the future...
  10:23pm Robert:

I also think there won't be mj in either brownie, but that he's going to make Andy believe it was in his.
  10:24pm Matt from Springfield:

The video stream's out--I think we're getting the audio from that stream, as well as the radio delay.
  10:24pm Ike:

Ken is an outstanding actor re: drunkenness. I suspect he'd much rather partake of special brownies.
  10:24pm Matt from Springfield:

He DID just fix it. Thanks Jay!
  10:25pm anemone:

The video feed is down.
  10:25pm pugmalley:

so it wasn't just me loosing the video feed....
  10:25pm Katya O:

Lots of fun, folks! Yay!
  10:26pm mike noble 7sd:

ike, you should go to the 4/20 episode of seven second delay at the ucb theater! you might actually see ken partake of such special brownies!
  10:26pm Matt from Springfield:

@Ike: Whether Ken really is or not, the effect is the same: funny :)
I never did catch the UCB show where Ken was "drunk" and they took the Archive down--Ken claims he wants to rebroadcast it and keep it "fresh" to those who didn't catch it. I just wanna hear it!
  10:26pm anemone:

Video's back.
  10:27pm Lonesome Pete:

Pledgin' Time! Circle the Wagons! GIDDIE-UP!!
  10:27pm Sarah:

He was scary drunk that night.
  10:28pm Ike:

I'll def. try to make it to UCB on 4/20. I was there for the blackout drunk UCB show and it was a riot.
  10:31pm mike noble 7sd:

@matt @ike... if a certain non-posted show became a premium...
  10:32pm mike noble 7sd:

i know i'd certainly like to hear it. since i can't remember it (was drinking in solidarity that night)
  10:35pm mike noble 7sd:

next year they need a separate camera up front. it will make it feel like they're covering a sporting event or parade or something.
  10:37pm Dan B From Upstate:

Piggly Wiggly time!
  10:37pm Cold Sesame Noodles:

Would somebody get that idiot away from the open mics?
  10:39pm Don McLean:

It's confirmed: Ken was faking.
  10:42pm tomasz.:

  10:42pm Don McLean:

  10:44pm Lizardner Dave:

I heard Don Mclean is an asshole..
  10:44pm Marie:

Ken should make that drunken video a pledge reward at some point... I'd pledge for it.
  10:45pm Robert:

Is it true that Ken won WFMU in a poker game?
  10:47pm Robert:

You know, Upsala went all in and the rest is history.
  10:47pm Jay:

High stakes ma jong actually.
  10:49pm History:

It's true that Ken created a non-profit (IRS 501(c)(3) ) entity called Auricale Communications to buy Upsala College's student radio station from the college before the college went bankrupt.
  10:51pm History:

Auricle -- typical graphic error, sorry

  11:08pm Robert:

Upsala College survived to make it into my resume. I claimed to have taught there while I was a post-doc at UMDNJ Newark in the mid-90s. I figured nobody could check up on it.
  11:09pm Robert:

I think I was able to get my 1st real teaching job as a result.
11:09pm The Ghost of Upsala Past:

You're welcome, Robert. And FMU.
  11:11pm Robert:

I'd've never heard of the place if not for WFMU. Uppsala, Sweden, yes.
  11:13pm Brian:

Bold choice. I wonder if they're gonna do all 10+ minutes.
  11:14pm JJ:

  11:22pm mike noble 7sd:

  11:22pm The Raritan River:

  11:22pm Matt from Springfield:

  11:23pm The Raritan River:

  11:24pm Ike:

How many diff. instruments has Bryce played so far tonight?
  11:26pm Matt from Springfield:

@Ike: I wonder how many instruments Bryce can play, period! Or does he just adapt easily to whatever's in his hands. Either way he's rockin' it tonight!
  11:26pm Gord:

Clay has got to be the breakout star of this Marathon.
  11:26pm Dan B From Upstate:

Ken's right. Clay is a rock star!
  11:27pm The Raritan River:

Video lags and freezes more and more, as viewership has climbed through the evening. Broadcast radio is a backup...
