	5:27pm Parq: Y'know, this is far from the first time in the past ten or fifteen years that a fundie nut has predicted the end of the world on a date certain, and yet I don't remember nearly this much hoopla on the prior occasions. Anybody know what's special about this one, why it's captured our imaginations so?
	5:29pm jaycjay: @Parq, in all seriousness I think it's because of the growth of social media sites. This thing has been huge on Facebook, etc.. Similar predictions in the past never really became widely distributed beyond direct followers and the relatively small number of people who pay attention to such things.
	5:33pm Ike: Yeah, barely anybody listens to Family Radio. This time, the publicity comes from so much mockery on FB etc., I guess. There are waaaaaay more people spoofing it and proposing apocalypse parties than taking it seriously. Plus it makes a fun theme for FMU DJs.
