Listener comments!
9:09am : wham bam, thank you mam..indeed :)9:12am : LOVE that Dr. John cut. What a national tresure. There's a CD that
has a buncha singers and also from what I read uses some material from FMU.
It's about the recordio booths that my Dad used and the songs are really cool cause I love Spottiswoode and Terry Radigan and (swoon) Jeremy Sisto. I heard some of it on NPR, but they did their just a slice lame interview thing You have it there? It's pretty awesome. That I can order, but what I also can't seem to find is the uptempo Ray Charles big band version of "Deed I Do" which blew my socks off.9:16am : Thingumybob! Now there's a title! You are awesome!9:16am : June 11th.1935 – Inventor Edwin Armstrong gives the first public demonstration of FM broadcasting in the United States at Alpine, New Jersey. (Mornin' bb!:)9:18am : Keep this groove going, Bob!9:22am : Found it. "Rosler's Recording Booth" http://donrosler.com/Roslers_Recording_Booth.html " Remember that "One of One" CD you guys played all the time. They use some for segues. Cool songs. But shite, stuff from Monster Movie Music should rule the hour!9:26am : Last comment and then I make breakfast. My dad was born around the corner from Ray Bryant. And we went to see him a ton. His niece is cool...musician. Ok, back to your show soon!9:52am : really fine show this morn bobalou soundtrack for a cruise to nowhere. met and spoke to dr john couple summer ago met him in portland or airport spoke a little mentioned bob porter from bgo he lit up a little his whole band and crew were on the flite back to newark a good ride9:52am : i love that you always play nrbq. ....and you are MAKING my morning. thank u oooxooxooooo9:55am : Wardell's surname is pronounced Kuh-zare. Criminali Della Galasia was released in the US as Wild, Wild Planet.9:59am : Play that NRBQ version of the Monk song! (Boy, I'm demanding today). This is a playlist for the ages. xx L9:59am : Bix and Tram! That's some magic stuff.10:01am : Did you guys seek freakin' Roy Haynes on Letterman? 86! Amazing. http://www.npr.org/blogs/ablogsupreme/2011/06/09/137084854/heres-roy-haynes-on-david-letterman?ft=1&f=103910:02am : HEY MIKETP. I think Bob Porter's theme was called "Rusty Rides Again"! Was that by Rusty Bryant? Cool hard core swing song.10:03am : HEY MIKETP. I think Bob Porter's theme was called "Rusty Rides Again"! Was that by Rusty Bryant? Cool hard core swing song.10:05am : i love bobs theme lara10:06am : Whoops that's Rusty Bryant, not Ray. When you mentioned Porter, I got confused. Bob's second theme song for the blues show was incredible slow bluesy sax. Forget who it was.10:12am : pardon me but i know v.little of NRBQ but since i'm catsitting on madison st in hoboken, i went to see em last night at maxwell's. way fun & good timey show. and my philly friend is acquainted with PETE DONNELLY, says he's a great guy.10:13am : re: "Katie"'s middle eight...love that little key change at the end too, just to keep you hanging. they were the greatest.10:35am : Fats used to make the coolest "videos" (well, "Soundies" I think they were called.10:38am : Saw "Most Happy" a buncha times. One time on Broadway, kinda stripped down...two pianos! Jeremy Sisto's vocal on the rosler CD reminds me of that. ...Thad Jones! Yeah!10:57am : very pretty VETIVER song. i think they're on tour & in metrop area. or were??
