Listener comments!

  9:05pm
annie:

sweet, i'm wide awake and actually listening!
  9:06pm
Richard from Venezuela:

Good evening Martha.
Hello annie.
  9:07pm
annie:

hi richard, so rare for me to be awake of a late hour such as this
  9:08pm
Rob from Maryland:

This symphony is marvelous.
  9:09pm
Richard from Venezuela:

This show is a terrific reason annie.
  9:10pm
Martha:

Hi all - thanks for checking in - glad you liked the frogs -
  9:13pm
david:

What's up Martha. Glad to have tuned in for this set.
  9:13pm
r i s k y:

YEAAH! GIT EM MARTHA!
  9:14pm
Martha:

Thanks again for the comments -
  9:25pm
Richard from Venezuela:

sounds good the band Rubble.
  9:32pm
Martha:

Yes - features the Butthole Surfer's drummer - I've only had a chance to scratch the surface of the record (but gently so as not to harm it) -
  9:36pm
david:

loved that Cecil McCartney, reminded me a little of Dave Bixby.
  9:40pm
Martha:

Don't know David Bixby, will have to check him out - but that Om record is a total trip - I mean total -
  9:45pm
dave:

"hush" is the one deep purple song i really love, and it's great to hear the creator's take on it.
  9:51pm
Martha:

YES! - v. much agreed -
  10:04pm
dave:

Before this show if someone told me there was a "Rockodrome" record label, I would be 1) utterly thrilled and 2) imagining that everything on it sounded exactly like that Hilary Blaze track. And maybe the Pharaoh Overlord track from last week.
  10:12pm
Martha:

It is perfect - isn't it? - but while Hillary Blaze is '77 Pharaoh Overlord and Cheeseburger are new - some weird 80s rock/metal thing happening here - why I have no idea - though that Cheeseburger track would've sounded great w/ Joe South -
  10:27pm
Droll:

Sounds like Criminal Minds like to steal from Duran Duran... If you must boost a loop: Menudo or DD.
  10:28pm
Martha:

England c. '91 - who knows?
  10:30pm
Droll:

Honestly, I don't think I've ever heard Menudo looped into a rap tune. But I trust WFMU would play it if there were such a recording (and I wait anxiously).
  10:37pm
Richard from Venezuela:

Talking about 80's metal, new Saxon album is very good.
  10:39pm
Martha:

Wow - you know a lot about Menudo - they always freaked me out when I was younger - they prob/ freak me out more now -
  10:40pm
Martha:

New Saxon - you're kidding - and also, how did I miss that?
  10:42pm
LeBron James:

I'm faking my talents in South Beach.
  10:54pm
jeff-m:

Menudo will always be some weird band that showed up on Silver Spoons randomly (twice?) in my world
  10:54pm
Droll:

I'm into world music: Thor (Canadian Content), EZO (Japan), Menudo (Puerto Rico), etc.
  10:57pm
JT:

I'm a private in a private army.
  11:01pm
Richard from Venezuela:

Psychic Limbs sounds killing.
  11:04pm
jeff-m:

agree with Richard, whole set has been super amazing too
  11:12pm
Martha:

Hey - is this THE Jeff M?
  11:32pm
jeff-m:

went to go get coffee....

yeah, I'm the one you know and do N&S. I know there is a Jeff M who comments too.
  11:33pm
Martha:

Thanks for the good words Jeff - sorry to see you off for the summer -
  11:47pm
Steve:

Hi Martha, wonderful show!
  11:48pm
Martha:

Hey Steve - thanks for the good words - are you affiliated w/ the +Dog+ by any chance?
  11:52pm
Steve:

Nope, just a listener in California. +Dog+, a label perhaps?
  11:55pm
sudo:

This Key of Shame is wonderful.
  11:55pm
Martha:

No, a band - guy in it/runs the label is named Steve - way cool for checking in w/ the good words - glad you're enjoying the show!!!
  11:56pm
Martha:

Yes - KoS totally awesome - there are three more sides of this!
  12:07am
toto_rello:
