  9:07am
annie:

  9:07am
hamburger / london:

hello! time to rawrk and row! :)
  9:08am
seang:

totally
  9:12am
Tom G:

yo yo yo
  9:13am
jason:

what's up everybody glad you're here, what's the news today?
  9:15am
pierre:

Bonjour Jason,
Bonjour los listeners extraordinares !
  9:15am
Nathan:

Weather is shit in London. News of the World is also shit. Both are known quantities.
  9:15am
Dead Corporate Eyes:

I ignore the news mostly, possibly to my detriment. Possibly.
  9:17am
pierre:

Weather is quite bad in Paris, we are fed up with Strauss Kahn stuff…
basically : au secours !
  9:17am
Dead Corporate Eyes:

in fact this whole Casey Anthony thing slipped right by me.
  9:19am
pierre:

(i'm drowning in this big pictures of yours Jason)
  9:22am
Tom G:

Whoa Dog Leather. I'll wear it.
  9:24am
Cecile:

Morning, Jason, Free Speechers!
  9:25am
Cecile:

Annie!
  9:26am
Cecile:

In Minnesota we are fed up with our politicians being like children. They need to play nice and open that govmint back up
  9:28am
Cecile:

Jason, do you have it in you to slide on something from One Nation Under a Groove?
  9:28am
jeff:

Strauss-Kahn is in NYC too! Weird. Is he also in Minnesota?
  9:30am
still b/p:

Most children eventually stop behaving like children. Politicians persist in it across the centuries.
  9:30am
Cecile:

No. We have Bachmann and Pawlenty. That's more than enough.
  9:34am
pierre:

Having Strauss Kahn is something, now imagine having all the french politicians, and journalist talking about Strauss Kahn All the time. I heard the french philosopher Michel Serres, saying that the thing in media today, is that every body speaks of exactly the same things, at the same time… i find itto be true.
  9:35am
jeff:

For Americans, at least DSK is a silly distraction. Bachmann & Pawlenty = terrifying distractions.
  9:36am
Cecile:

Very true! It's like no one wants to go off and cover the stories that are forgotten. It is the same with music reviewing. It's part of the reason I'm burned out.
  9:36am
Cecile:

indeed, jeff. Indeed.
  9:39am
Tom G:

Well to be fair, the DSK story IS a big story. He was head of the IMF and he stood a very good chance of being the next president of France and he was accused of a very serious crime. Should only 1/2 of media outlets report on it? I agree, it feels like overkill, but that's to do more w/ our non-stop media cycle than the story itself, I'd say.
  9:40am
pierre:

and now i'm thinking, happily, there is wfmu, when i'm feeling down i think about you guys (Bachmann & Pawlenty, don't know them yet, they seems like politicians cliché to me - by wikipédia - unatural smile, same suits as everyone)
  9:41am
Cecile:

Tom G - you are right on the importance of the story. It is huge. But how about 5% of the media being on something else?
  9:42am
hamburger / london:

I'm still stumped that the superhero capes for the homeless story Meghan mentioned in the previous show didn't catch on like wildfire
  9:43am
pierre:

@ Tom G : yeah, every media (starting with the people) is to blame for the non stop talking, but it would be ok, if it didn't hide stuff like Syria revolutions, Nuclear being questionned in Europe, It is huge, but the justice system has to discover what happened, not the media.
  9:43am
Cecile:

On another topic, this song makes me want to start a Soul Train dance line.
  9:44am
pierre:

i mean that because yesterday i saw a journalist saying "yeah nobody knows what happened so far" i mean yes, well done.
  9:46am
john:

woah... heavy beat
  9:46am
Dead Corporate Eyes:

that funny noise is making me giggle
  9:46am
still b/p:

Can Kenzo put comment columns left and right while one at a time comments in a funky break-out down the middle?
  9:47am
Cecile:

LOL! that would be great.
  10:01am
BDR:

Hey, Jason, post a photo of Irwin destroying the Amanda CD please? Weren't you the official photographer of the event?
  10:04am
jeff:

gegensinn = against sense
  10:07am
pierre:

the Amanda smashing cd !
(i'm also interested in Irwin trying to not cut himself while cleaning all the shrapnels)
  10:10am
jason:
