  9:18pm
Kingsleadhat:

Why so evil so early?
  9:19pm
G:

To reduce your resistance.
  9:19pm
pseu:

  9:20pm
G:

  9:42pm

  9:48pm
mike tp:

  9:56pm
Ross:

In hell, the neverending song plays in an infinite loop
  9:57pm
Rob:

Still makes me smile 40 years later (Delaney and Bonnie)
  9:57pm
pseu:

I've had them on the show. There's an archive somewhere..
http://wfmu.org/listen.ram?show=4526&archive=3926
  9:58pm
pseu:

the shins, that is.
  9:59pm
G:

Had to look that Neverending song up -- I was living in England in the early 70s, and I recall the New Seekers version on radio. Delaney wrote it, though...
  10:01pm
mike tp:

i do remember that show maybe 10 years ago would love to listen to tom rapp show on fmu also at least 10yrs ago probabnly more translucent carriages for old times sake
  10:03pm
mike tp:

playful diversion
  10:05pm
Rob:

G: I don't think the New Seekers version of Never Ending Song of Lovemade it over here.
  10:08pm
Space:

monsters ha haaa that's great!! u crack me up lol
  10:08pm
G:

we all have our personal memory-histories! sorry! in the UK they dragged out that "neverending" cover for airplay after "i'd like to teach the world to sing" was a big hit for The New Seekers in the UK
  10:10pm
pseu:

Thanks for the snark, "Space".
  10:11pm
Rob:

G: I know, we do. I lived in Europe for a couple of years in the 70s so my personal music history is skewed too, for an American.
  10:16pm
Listener Terry:

The band's name would seem to be a reference to Don DeLillo's "White Noise". In the novel there is a chemical accident that creates what the authorities deem an "Airborne Toxic Event". It is a neurotoxin that, among other things, causes deja vu.
  10:18pm
Space:

he he it was funny really no snarky
  10:18pm
pseu:

i thought i'd heard it before, thanks.
  10:25pm
Jeffersonic/Jervix:

Good evening, Pseu! Jerv checkin' in. Nice Shocking Blue...Delaney and Bonnie sounded better than I remembered it, is it a different mix? I heard Melanie's original hit mix of "Brand New Key" again recently after about 30 years, and I was surprised how much I liked it.
  10:28pm
Space:

you where talking about raising kids and u paused and said raising ...monsters instead of kids , that's what i was laughing at lol
  10:37pm
12539:

Letraset!
  10:38pm
john:

Can we also ban self-conscious irony?
  10:39pm
Internet Police:

I believe the proper current pronunciation is "lulz".
  10:39pm
chris stubbs:

LOTI: Laughing on the inside
  10:39pm
marc:

pseu's right "LOL" has an evil connotation.
  10:40pm
Skirkie:

I will take the effort to type, "Ha ha."
  10:40pm
fatty jubbo:

I have never been able to use emoticons but there have been times that I had wished I did.
  10:40pm
Listener Terry:

I used to work at "Entertainment Tonight" and when the show was moving from the old Paramount lot to a brand new digital studio the Graphics department was getting rid of all their Letraset, so I got them for free.
  10:41pm
molerat:

What is all this? I'm here for a letraset discussion.
  10:41pm
john:

I will gladly be the self-conscious irony cop. Can I use a real nightstick?
  10:42pm
Listener Terry:

Ur doin it rong.
  10:42pm
marc:

LOL is like the Stupid smiley face that emerged in the 70s.
  10:44pm
Space:

you took the comment as snark at first lol lol ya can't win lol
  10:45pm
Skirkie:

I went to movies by myself for the first time ever tonight.

It was great except I can't talk with anyone about the movie now.

Also, two people brought infants, crying infants. Why?
  10:47pm
marc:

:={
  10:48pm
pseu:

bringing your babies to movies is a tactic people use to draw attention to themselves, I'm completely convinced. If you're too cheap to get a babysitter, you clearly don't have it in your budget to buy movie tickets, either.
  10:49pm
pseu:

everyone, it's LARFS. LARF OUT LOUD is allowed.
  10:55pm
fatty jubbo:

just seeing "LOL" immediately makes me think of office cubicles.
  10:56pm
pseu:

I feel like there's a division there...
  10:56pm
Space:

lol
  10:58pm

  10:59pm

  11:00pm
fatty jubbo:

I had the opportunity to attend a BBQ tonight but decided to stay home and work on stuff...in solitude...but here I am juggling between two message boards and facebook. LOL! :D

  11:01pm

  11:01pm
pseu:

I'd like to see fatty with rib-stickin's on his chin.
  11:03pm
fatty jubbo:

there is one thing that I hope it doesn't pop in someone's head when they see/hear the name. I won't mention it.
  11:03pm

  11:05pm

  11:07pm
pseu:

i'm sure you don't mean that.
  11:08pm
john:

All emoticons aside, I'm deeply in love with this Brilliant Colors album.
  11:10pm
PiLA:

I'm here. I made it, and I mean it.
  11:13pm
pseu:

john, i want you to fall again for Eric Carmen. It was meant to be.
  11:14pm
john:

What do you mean by "again?"
  11:15pm
pseu:

  11:16pm
john:

Well, we'll just keep that our little secret.
  11:23pm
Fun Fact:

In 1972 Sachiko Kanenobu married the founder of _Crawdaddy_.
  11:24pm
john:

Ahhh, Badfinger....They could have been bigger than, well, Teenage Fanclub.
  11:25pm
Skirkie:

  11:27pm
