Listener comments!

  6:17pm julian:

Hey Rob, just checking in (from UK right now) to see how you're doing. Keep safe, keep spinning!
  6:26pm Your DJ:

Well, we're doing fairly okay but the city of Hoboken demanded that we evacuate (there is concern that almost the entire town could flood). So I dropped Katie and Sid Caesar (our cat) in Jersey City Heights. Looks like the weather will still be not too bad by the time I leave, and make the short drive to join them over there.
  6:28pm moose:

looks like it's going to be a super-special night on wfmu- does that really say 6 hours of clay pigeon?
i'm about 10 blocks from the station, in suspense, with little spiders tentatively emerging from my plants brought in from the fire escape (only to be tossed out the window)
  6:28pm julian:

I hope you sand-bagged around your records sufficiently
  6:30pm Your DJ:

Yes Moose, Clay and Julie and perhaps Keili will be in the eye of the storm - all night through the wee hours and early morning - should be very entertaining!
  6:33pm moose:

if the electricity sticks around all night so will i
  6:34pm seang:

Thanks WFMU for being on the air
  6:35pm Your DJ:

We definitely have the people power to stay on the air but if PSEG cuts our power, not much we can do! Hopefully not...
  6:35pm T-Zero:

Heh, you really think you need to be dancing and chanting for rain? lol
  6:36pm Barba Yiorgi:

Hey Rob, glad you and Katie made it out of the Hoboken Ground Floor world, we are hunkering down in our "Zone B" (for Byzan-Tone?) corner of Crooklyn. Love the ambiance and as usual your music makes the world a bit less oppressive. Be well and stay dry (in the nicest way)
  6:38pm Richard from Venezuela:

Greetings Rob and all the listeners.
  6:39pm Your DJ:

Thanks Barba Yiorgi! And greetings Richard, hope it's a bit less tempestuous down there...
  6:44pm Richard from Venezuela:

Rob, today i found the last two releases from the salsero Henry Fiol. Free and legal. Good salsa music.

http://henryfiol.com/eng/download.html
  6:48pm Your DJ:

Thanks Richard for the tip!
  6:50pm Richard from Venezuela:

You're welcome. Hope you like it.
  7:29pm Ike:

This kinda sounds like the vocalist from the great Bel Canto.
  8:07pm Listener Schned:

Thanks, Rob, for the great programming, and the real truth: "G-d is not just"- He/She is just another punk messing with the righteous :)
  8:15pm closet GNR fan:

This is a painfully cheesy suggestion, but normal rules are suspended in these circumstances: how about November Rain? Stay safe . . .
  8:17pm closet GNR fan:

or Hurricane by E-40 and the Click
  8:18pm Ike:

1) GNR is hideous nighmarish jock smegma.
2) It's not even November.
  8:23pm drewo:

Hah! Love it. Was on the roof of my building and lower Manhattan is empty on Saturday night!
  8:30pm Your DJ:

Hey guys - I don't know if I will get to your requests but keep them in mind for Midnight to 6 when Clay Pigeon and Julie are on...
  8:34pm katie:

we're enjoying the music...can't say the same for Sid, who's still stunned to be behind bars.
  8:35pm Mitten John:

OK, i'll hold my request for bright sunshiny day till then.

FREE SID!!!
  8:36pm slugluv1313:

hi Rob! glad to hear that you and Katie and SID are safe and sound!!! Barba Yiorgi hit it right on the nail -- PERFECT ambience and yes, the music you play DEFINITELY helps make all less oppressive . . . just tuning in now (unfortunately) HOW COOL TO HEAR FAUST FIRST OFF!!!
  8:36pm Your DJ:

Thanks Slugluv. Hi Sid! I'll be there soon (not that that's gonna help)...
  8:37pm slugluv1313:

OH NO!!!! POOR SID!!!!! any soothing catnip???
  8:41pm TamarAndRich:

Loving the show tonight, sympathizing with the evacuee spirit, keeping our fingers crossed for the survival of your records. Best to Katie and Sid and your fabulous hosts!
  8:47pm EzSezz:

Pluie, pluie... Let it come down.
  8:47pm Doug S.:

I knew there was a good reason for evacuating, er, moving to Pittsburgh!
  8:50pm Your DJ:

Y'know Doug, one of my favorite garage rock songs is "I'm in Pittsburgh and it's Raining" by the Outcasts. Just sayin'...
  8:53pm Doug S.:

Great song! I played that on my show several weeks ago. Found it here:

  9:01pm slugluv1313:
