  3:04am
Matt from Springfield:

Evening Julie!
Is that the first time you've played Hole here?
  3:08am
Julie:

Nope I have played Hole before. hi Matt & Fred
  3:11am
fred von helsing:

the groove is in effect :)
  3:12am
pierre:

Hey Bonjour Julie !

t's 09.00 here getting on my way to (boring) job, catching your show back there, in about 45min.
  3:14am
Julie:

Bonjour Pierre!
  3:16am
alberto:

you ever hear of the livid kittens?
  3:17am
Julie:

You mean the Lemon Kittens?
  3:18am
fred:

Good morning Julie and everyone!
  3:19am
Matt from Springfield:

And the freds converge!
Will the davids be next??
  3:19am
Julie:

Hiya Fred!
  3:22am
alberto:

@joolz no, the livid kittens was this super awesome girl band from the miami area in the 90's...i have a cassette, i'll digitize it and send it your way. :)
  3:23am
Julie:

ooh sounds good alberto..
  3:25am
fred von helsing:

very catchy name :)
  3:31am
alberto:

and now i snort this flexerol
  3:31am
Matt from Springfield:

Sunday...FLOODY Sunday for you, Julie! ;)

War is definitely one of U2s best albums.
  3:32am
Julie:

I'm glad someone besides me likes it! I always get boos when i play from it. The ONLY one I like.
  3:32am
Elwyn:

I used to really love U2 but these days, I'm a bit meh over the stuff they've done since 2000.
  3:33am
Elwyn:

Oh, and I used to think that it was cool they had an electric violin in this song.
  3:33am
alberto:

i always think of red rocks when i here this
  3:34am
Julie:

Hi Elwyn! And a belated hi to Alberto!
  3:35am
Matt from Springfield:

I like U2 probably up until the 90s...after "Joshua Tree" I'm not sure there's many I like. But "War" and "The Unforgettable Fire" are quite good.
  3:35am
fred von helsing:

wow... that was a quick upload to Mlle. DJ !
  3:36am
Julie:

That was Spotify ;) Now see if I know how to turn it off, it tends to keep playing in the background
  3:37am
Julie:

Hey is this kinda dirty
  3:38am
vanechka:

very good staff for good morning( at russia ). cheeers!
  3:39am
Julie:

hello venechka!
  3:39am
alberto:

oooo ooooo i like this!!!
  3:40am
fred von helsing:

  3:47am
fred von helsing:

am glued to desk at work must not leave must not miss single tune MEEP!
  3:49am
Matt from Springfield:

I think I heard this one years ago, not realizing who Altered Images were at the time.

@helsing fred: The Archives will be here for you; btw, are you catching up with the 17 HOURS of Julie's epic fill-ins this weekend? :)
  3:50am
Julie:

oh was that THIS weekend?
  3:50am
Matt from Springfield:

Personally it's worse when someone interrupts me at work in the middle of a tune.

Wow, no clue at first this minimalist percussion was The Kinks!
  3:52am
fred von helsing:

The cover of "You really got me" by Robots in Disguise is excellent, very electropop, great silly power and really captures the energy of the riff
  3:53am
Julie:

ah FVH I will have to check that one out
  3:55am
alberto:

:) maybe i'm not incapacitated at all...basquait a grand gesture i heard?
  3:55am
fred von helsing:

@DJ no no it's no prob, am firmly positioned before the speakers and accu-playlist and strapped-in ready to be bounced among the decades :) hey so the epic hurricane blowout... did a single supergroovalistic WFMU theme song emerge from the audio carnage ?
  3:56am
Julie:

@FVH there really wasn't. Both Keili & I played Cloudbusting that's the only overlap that I noticed.
  3:56am
alberto:

i am flattened.
  3:57am
Julie:

oh no! did something fall on you?
  3:58am
alberto:

you ever get into ghosting? "i'll rip off my head, and put it on a sharp pale!"
  3:59am
fred von helsing:

Cloudbusting sorta really needs the vid, it's so well done and OTT.. and based on Reich's son's book
  3:59am
T-Zero:

@Julie: Hope you had a well-earned rest.
  4:00am
Julie:

Nah CB is just as good without, but it is a nice vid. Hi T! I got "some" rest :)
  4:01am
Meghan:

Yay Julie!!! You are totally playing songs from my 80's night tonight! You are a trooper!!!
  4:02am
Julie:

Hi Meghan! Just kind of worked out that way, tonight's show is totally random. But we LOVE THE 80s. Gimme a spotify request Meghan
  4:03am
Meghan:

Hmmmmm. My brain is shot.... Lemme think....
  4:04am
alberto:

when in rome? the promise?
  4:05am
Meghan:

Oh! It's a sin by pet shop boys. I realized tonight I forgot I don't own that..... Which will be rectified
  4:05am
Elwyn:

@Meghan: Can't you just copy it from the WFMU library? :-)
  4:06am
fred von helsing:

Did our fearless flooderrific DJs survive on takeout ?
  4:10am
Matt from Springfield:

Turntable 2 is haunted--you said it got wet, but I bet it's still ALIVE... :)
  4:10am
Meghan:

Ohhh or play some Chameleons cause they are coming in November!!
  4:11am
fred von helsing:

WFMU's Flooderrific Hurricanathonic Irenerama 2011: Powered by Twinkies and Funyums
  4:11am
Meghan:

That is the plan Elwyn! Saw evil Brady tonight... He brought baklava!
  4:12am
Matt from Springfield:

@Meghan: That's funny, I suggested Julie play "It's A Sin" for Holy Week this year--dark, guilt ridden, meditative, it's a nice match!
  4:12am
T-Zero:

@Julie: Also glad to know there wasn't a problem with looting, before and after, in areas known to have been evacuated.
  4:14am
Matt from Springfield:

Also Julie, I tried to listen to the last 3 hours of your 6 hour Sunday morning one, and it cuts off after 3 hours--I'm sure the other 3 hours exist somewhere, but it was prob. auto-archived as the 12-3 and 3-6 blocks. Kenzo might know.
  4:15am
Matt from Springfield:

Wo ist Julie?
Hier ist Julie!
  4:17am
Meghan:

Time to pass out. Guten nacht!!!
  4:18am
Julie:

oh sure now she leaves!
  4:18am
Matt from Springfield:

Really hitting up the international songs this morning!

(This made me think...is your first name "Julie", or are you actually "Julia", and known as Julie?
  4:19am
Matt from Springfield:

I want to say Guten Nacht soon myself, but as this was my request as well, I'm staying for this one!
  4:19am
Julie:

I am Julie. And the title of the song says Julie even though they are saying it Julia.
  4:22am
Matt from Springfield:

Yoo-li-a, the European (and also Roman) pronunciation.
  4:23am
Matt from Springfield:

Though I loved that "Julie Julie Julie do ya LOVVVE me" intro at the beginning of the fill-ins! You must have a band play that as your intro wherever you go! :)
  4:32am
Julie:

Yeah he's played that a couple times before..it's fun
  4:32am
pierre:

i made it !
back to the office for 07.30 of boringness… Glad wfmu is here for the moral support
  4:33am
Julie:

Pierre give me a good french dark band :)
  4:37am
trent:

YES
  4:38am
Elwyn:

I struggle to wake up for work. I get up at 10:30 am each day - I need motivation!
  4:39am
pierre:

Martin Dupont
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Ugqo5dhL2A
(dark in french is Coldwave to me)
  4:40am
Julie:

pierre I will check it out :)
  4:41am
Matt from Springfield:

@Elwyn: Wow, and I thought I lacked motivation!
  4:43am
pierre:

@Elwyn : i would get motivated if the job was interesting, that's the thing it's a infinite loop of boring to lazy
  4:44am
fred von helsing:

sous les pavés... la plage
  4:48am
Matt from Springfield:

Pierre's Coldwave hits the U.S. airwaves! Merci beaucoup!
  4:48am
pierre:

i wish, fred von helsing, i wish…
in the meantime for me it's "sous les pavés… WFMU" my own "plage" with good music and company. And no f***ing paying beach Mattress.

@Julie : YES !
  4:54am
pierre:

@ Matt du Champs du printemps : i like when the Coldwave hits, thanks to Julie.
  4:54am
Elwyn:

@Pierre: Sick of working on the same project but thankfully, I work on new bits. I think I hate PHP/Zend now but am getting sent on a course for it soon.
  4:55am
fred von helsing:

Aussi bon: Je prends mes désirs pour la réalité car je crois en la réalité de mes désirs..
  4:55am
Julie:

hey I just realized I didn't back announce that first set, sorry guys!
  4:59am
T-Zero:

No problem, we have the playlist, Julie. Now for non-web listeners ...
  4:59am
pierre:

@ Elwyn : yeah, well if you have some perspective it's good, my only perspective is being able to pay my flat - i need to start working at nights and weekends for personnal perspective.

@ Fred V Helsing : good one. what about this ?:

"Aucun possible n'est beau ; le réel seul est beau."
"No possibility is beautiful; reality alone is beautiful."
  4:59am
Julie:

yeah I got out of the habit over the weekend!
  5:01am
fred von helsing:

@peirre that sounds like Yoda! "Do or do not, there is no try."
  5:01am
Matt from Springfield:

@pierre: I love the French-version of my name you wrote! Especially because I just found a terrific Monet painting of "the Fields of Spring":

http://www.repro-tableaux.com/a/claude-monet/champs-au-printemps.html
  5:01am
T-Zero:

Bela Lugosi's Dead. This is okay, but I think I much prefer Bauhaus.
  5:03am
Sal:

Hi Julie
Just got to work
hope all is well with you.

Good Morning.
  5:04am
fred von helsing:

I s'pose the Passaic River is a mess
  5:06am
pierre:

@ fred : that's from a french philosopher called Alain.

@ Matt : this is a wonderful painting ! Thanks for sharing this.
  5:08am
Elwyn:

@Julie: Yeah, I like being able to pay rent and buy Star Wars costume bits and DVDs. Haven't bought as many CDs this year.
There's also only one member of the opposite gender - I know that these days, people tend to hook up with work colleagues more because they spend so much time at work.
  5:09am
Matt from Springfield:

@pierre: Wonderful! Glad you like, thanks for giving me the phrase!

I really need to sleep a few winks before heading in to work, so thanks for YET another lovely selection in these past few crazy days Julie! Good night everyone!
  5:10am
T-Zero:

Sleep well, Matt.
  5:11am
Julie:

Goodnight Matt! Hello Sal!
  5:13am

  5:19am
fred von helsing:

Tamryn oh heck yeah
  5:22am
?:

is the stream ok? coming through a little fuzzy...
  5:24am
Julie:

Fuzzy for anyone else? I can only hear the air signal in here
  5:24am
T-Zero:

@? I thought it was just the mix, but I've had stream trouble off and on all evening with it cutting out.
  5:25am
Julie:

Oh dear...hmmm...
  5:25am
fred von helsing:

crystal-clear five-by-five
  5:26am
Julie:

I am playing a lot of LP's tonight..that might be a little bit fuzzier..but if there was an issue I think I would hear more of it?
  5:27am
T-Zero:

@Julie: The cutting out hasn't been bad with your show. But kept losing it, completely with Dum Dum. I don't think, though, the problem is with WFMU. I think it's with intermittent power problems related to the hubs it gets passed through to me.
  5:29am
T-Zero:

This Godz sounds real clear
  5:30am
Julie:

We all lose it completely with Dum Dum
  5:33am
fred von helsing:

Good ol' SB !
  5:34am
Julie:

SB?
  5:34am
Julie:

So Godz was tonight's random discovery. Pretty good :)
  5:37am
Sal:

A mid-late 70s Rod Stewart Song. oh boy.
  5:38am
T-Zero:

Yipppeee... Donovan
  5:38am
Julie:

I didn't see a year on the record but it looks much older
  5:39am
fred von helsing:

nsfw... http://www.google.com/search?q=rod+stewart+sperm+belly
  5:40am
Sal:

Do you Sister Sledge "We are Family"?
  5:40am
T-Zero:

RE: Stewart, wiki says May 1971 (US) July 1971 (UK)
  5:40am
T-Zero:

And there goes the stream again.
  5:42am
Julie:

anyone else lose the stream?
  5:44am
T-Zero:

It's back again now. I still think it's a routing problem as even the page gives an error when it tries to refresh, but other pages load ok.
  5:44am
Sal:

me(Sal)
  5:45am
Moon in June:

Me too
  5:45am
T-Zero:

@Sal You lost the stream too? Where are you?
  5:46am
Moon in June:

Just came back!
  5:46am
T-Zero:

I'm in Ohio with road runner
  5:47am
Sal:

Sayreville by the Pwky Southbound 5 minutes before you mentioned it Julie.
  5:47am
fred von helsing:

ooh after this could be Pink Floyd's "Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave and Grooving with a Pict". and of course the rumor was that Klaatu was the Beatles, re-formed.
  5:48am
Julie:

It is hard to tell if you're having individual difficulties or it is on our end
  5:48am
T-Zero:

OMG Klaatu had totally forgotten them
  5:49am
T-Zero:

@Julie.l At least I know it's not a problem with my machine :)
  5:50am
Sal:

its working now
  5:50am
Julie:

I'm nearly out of here but if you listen to Marty make sure you let him know if it's going out, to see if it's universal
  5:50am
fred von helsing:

Gort! Klaatu barada nikto!
  5:54am
T-Zero:

Damn. It just did it again. It just cuts out for a second and then comes back in. As for Marty, probably will go to sleep when you end. Leave a post it for him lol
  5:55am
fred von helsing:

Oh noes, time's a-flyin'! Thank you DJ Julie!
  5:55am
Julie:

Zero it may be my computer, I'm having a little blip here and there with the songs I play on there
  5:57am
T-Zero:

@Julie, Maybe... but that wouldn't explain the complete Dum Dum failure.
  5:57am
Julie:

ah good point
  5:58am
Sal:

Have a safe trip home Julie
  5:59am
Moon in June:

thank you, Julie!
  5:59am
T-Zero:

@Julie: On his show, even if I shut down the stream and restarted it would error out. On your show, though, it could just be a blip as only the sound cut out without any stream error. Anyway. it'l be fine and thanks!
  1:51pm
Kraken soundscapes:

Nice show.....
