  12:28pm
jljl:

This is an excellent combination of screen colors.
  12:32pm
joe:

This Nightsatan song just strangely filled a want for hearing Kraftwerk that I had all weekend.
  12:44pm
Desmond:

I hear that there is NO metal on the new Opeth :(
  12:47pm
ian:

can't believe this is my first time hearing Imaad Wasif. This is awesome.
  12:58pm
Rodney:

Neurosis has to be one of the most influential metal bands of the past 10 years. How many "post-metal" bands have completely taken their sound? Too many to count.
  12:59pm
D.Lactose:

Dave's bass playing on the Word As Law album is so killer. I love that era of Neurosis.
  1:00pm
D.Lactose:

Whatever happened to Iron Vegan?
  1:02pm
Wild Neil:

Hello Diane!!Hello everybody!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  1:10pm
Wild Neil:

Gold:Tone:Aluminum? Precious to lightweight metal?
  1:12pm
Cheri Pi:

off topic-I can't get the name "Noothgrush" out of my head. Does that seem like a sill name for a band? (no offense to the band). It sounds like something the Fraggles would use after flossing with radish leaves.
  1:20pm
Cheri Pi:

Badass Karysun track.
  1:22pm
ian:

agree, that was excellent.
  1:26pm
fc:

Ask Dave about "Tomorrow's Reality."
  1:27pm
Nick Sakes:

Tell Dave "hi" from Nick of Dazzling Killmen!
  1:28pm
jljl:

I met that French guy in Madrid last year when he was out with a French screamo band whose name escapes me. He gave me the Karysun CD, cool stuff. Get them to the States.
  1:32pm
ian:

gotta say, i didn't expect to hear any ska on this show!
  1:32pm
jljl:

Sugartown Cabaret was the French band, if that means anything to him.
  1:38pm
fc:

Nick- got any DK shirts left laying around? Mine is shredded...
  1:42pm
Nick Sakes:

Sorry, fc.
  1:47pm
ian:

really looking forward to playing with Kicker on the 17th. That's going to be an epic show!
  1:59pm
Dave B:

This makes for a good mid day crunch.
  2:03pm
joe:

Does Los Banos and the Cycle show come out the east coast way at all?
  2:04pm
Chris, UK.:

Just started to listen in York, England, where autumn has started this week. Sounds like an interesting programme, will listen while doing some jobs around the house.
  2:06pm
joe:

Great now I gotta go to CA :)
  2:11pm
Eric:

PORTAL!!!
  2:12pm
Chris, UK.:

Brilliant! I love punk-rock. I won't hear a word said against the stranglers.
  2:17pm
joe:

Thanks Dave this rocked
  2:17pm
Cheri Pi:

Thanks Dave!!! I loved the bicycle bells!
  2:18pm
Wild Neil:

Thank you Dave!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2:22pm
bill:

Cheri Pi -
A noothgrush is an annoying creature that hangs out in your toothbrush, according to Dr. Suess
  2:24pm
Cheri Pi:

Bill-Are you serious???? It's been driving me crazy...
  2:26pm
Yair Yona (tel aviv,earth):

Hey Diane ;)
I'm in Raleigh,NC , listening to the show. I promised I'll comment so there you go ;)
  2:30pm
bill:

Cheri Pi, totally serious! It's from There's a Wocket in my Pocket. Hey, DK ought to know, she's a Suess fan
  2:31pm
The terwebs:

Noothgrush is a sludge metal band with a very heavy, down-tuned and down-tempo sound.... The band's name comes from the Dr. Seuss book entitled There's a Wocket in My Pocket!
  2:32pm
kamikaze:

Yair, hi! Great meeting you, and thanks for playing on WFMU- AND thanks for saying hi on the board!! Have fun! :)
  2:32pm
Cheri Pi:

Voivod!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2:33pm
kamikaze:

I am a HUGE fan of Dr. Seuss; probably one of the biggest influences of my life! I'm loving the Noothgrush conversation!
  2:35pm
Cheri Pi:

I had no idea about this book-and I was raised on Dr. Suess.
  2:36pm
The Interwebs:

It's a Seuss book for reading aloud to small kids and teaching them how rhyming works. The rhyme words are nouns from around the house, and weirdass things that rhyme with them. There's a yottle in my bottle, etc. GET THAT NOOTHGRUSH OFF MY TOOTHBRUSH!
  2:36pm
bill:

My favorite is the unseen but defnitely creepy Vug under the rug
  2:37pm
joe:

Wocket in my Pocket was one of my daughters favorites I think I read it to her every night for 6 months straight then it was regulated to a once a week book :)
  2:42pm
herb:

sorry to come in a lil late, but as song "jesus fucking christ" was played (never heard this song before), there is an illustration by NICOLE EISENMAN & she uses this title too, i think. (sorry if someone mentioned this already)
  2:44pm
MORT:

HAMMERHEAD! YES! Just got their new cassette EP. New songs are great!
  2:50pm
Eric:

Thanks for the Hammerhead! That was my favorite tune of theirs.
  2:53pm
MORT:

The EP is called Memory Hole and available on Damage Rituals
  2:56pm
josh:

man, this was when Wino's voice was thrashed. Sounds rad.
  2:59pm
ian:

that was awesome, Diane. Really looking forward to Carl Canedy next week!
  7:36pm
Tim:

Love Neurosis, one of my fav bands
  12:33am
