jeff:

morning, jason. i'm in class, so i can only read the comments and the playlist, and imagine what everyone is hearing.
  9:40am
Your instructor:

Jeff, pay attention.
  9:42am
Jeff's classmate:

hé psssst,
pass this to the girl on your left…

(yeah in my head i'm in a 1960's classroom / no messages on cellphone or those hip new technology stuff…)
  9:45am
jeff:

update: she made me read it to the class.
  9:46am
Bad Ronald:

What's the teacher look like this year?
  9:47am
Instructor:

Would you like to share that with everyone?
  9:48am
WilD Neil:

Is your teacher hot? Is she a MILF?
  9:50am
pierre:

"Don't Let My Girlfriend Tickle Me" seems appropriate to this thread of conversation.
Jeff (i'm your classmate from france) good luck with learning things, i find it difficult some times…
  9:52am
postmanpaul:

At 8.30 am here in Britain, a BBC Radio 2 presenter invited us to... 'pick two Stonkers that we'd like to hear back to back.' Apparently, Stonkers and Gobsmackers are... 'two brilliant records that have a common link.'
  9:52am
WilD Neil:

Bulgarian Folk Music maybe?
  9:53am
WilD Neil:

sounds Polish....actually...or Slavic somehow...something Fox (female?)
  9:54am
jeff:

it TECHNICALLY be TILF, WilD Neil.

  9:56am
jeff:

  9:56am
WilD Neil:

I respectfully invoke the 5th ammendment, sir.
  9:56am
BSI:

Teach of Immortality.
  9:56am
Bad Ronald:

I don't feel tardy.
  9:57am
pierre:

a moment of trout
  9:58am
Cecile:

Jason if you are taking requests and playing the funk, I could use Kelis's "Caught out there". You know that goes over and over again, "I hate you so much right now!" I would like to dedicate it to the world.
  9:59am
WilD Neil:

I got busted once for a fake hall pass...to the library...no kidding!
  9:59am
Cecile:

yeah, lars-who-writes-about-metal. fffffffft. He started writing about jazz. It's insufferable.
  10:00am
Cecile:

GET OFF MY LAWN.
  10:01am
world:

We give and we give and we give.....and we get only your bitter fist in return..
  10:01am
Cecile:

You give me a headache.
  10:02am
pierre:

bonjour Cecile.
  10:02am
Cecile:

yo, pierre.
  10:03am
Your lawn:

Could you do something about this crab grass in teh corner?
  10:04am
Cecile:

Ha! We got anonymous hate mail about our lawn recently. It was freaky.
  10:04am
world:

Today we want to give you only browstrokes and relief relief relief.
  10:05am
pierre:

hate mails are always freaky, i never did one, i wouldn't know how to be serious about it. What was yours Cecile?
  10:05am
Cecile:

yeah, I've heard that before.
  10:06am
BSI:

@Cecile: sounds like you have literate dandelions. Go directly to blowtorch. This can get ugly.
  10:07am
Nosey Neighbors:

Cutt yore goddam grass, u lazzy ass hippys!
  10:08am
dc pat:

...and stop growing corn in yer front yard!!
  10:08am
Cecile:

It was "I knew the people here and they kept their lawn and house meticulous, and when I drive by every day...(!!!) it's a tragedy. And they kept the blinds open. They werent' trying to hide what's going on inside (!!!!) They would be rolling in their graves."

Never mind that Neighbor Dave just moved the lawn, we've pained and pulled up ugly ass carpet, the garden's not good because my knees are toast, and it gets g'damn hot in there when the city cut down the diseased tree in the front yard. Also, we are saving up for siding. :(
  10:10am
Cecile:

We were going to put up a sign that said SUCK IT or something, but now on days that I'm not grouchy, it's kind of funny.
  10:10am
still b/p:

Maybe in reply you can custom-mow the lawn to spell out words...you know which words...in big letters.
  10:10am
cobra dan:

My dad would leave patches of weeds around the lawn because he believed in Bio Diversity. I just mowed giant spiral circles in the lawn and called it "Lawn Art"
  10:14am
Cecile:

that's a great idea sbp.
  10:15am
Bad Ronald:

@ Cecile - grab some shears and get to work:

http://tinyurl.com/moonbush
  10:15am
dc pat:

or you can start growing corn in the front yard--that really pisses neighbors off
  10:16am
pierre:

so many bored Neighbors apparently
  10:16am
still b/p:

...Then lay down big blinds to cover the whole lawn and put hideous grass curtains in the windows, just to eff wid 'em.
  10:17am
Cecile:

ha! I'll show that to my huisband. We do have a few shrubberies.

Pierre, the neighbors we see and talk to are awesome. And great characters. This sounds like one of those fangirls who doesn't like the new Doctor Who or something.
  10:18am
Cecile:

*writing this down*
  10:18am
WilD Neil:

Neighbors can really suck. Our good friend said her neighbors in Williamsville NY would complain their little children were too loud and that they didn't use chemicals on their yard to kill clover and other nice things...and it was "lowering their neighborhood's home values...
  10:19am
Cecile:

My neighbors would think the corn is cool. They are planting gourds and pumpkins in a vacant lot. Nothing to eat, they're pretty sure there's asbestos in the soil.
  10:22am
das:

question completely unrelated to Jason's show: I'm looking for some examples of well designed punk band websites, any thoughts?
  10:22am
Moon in June:

"Asbestos in the soil"...Really cool name for a band!
  10:23am
Cecile:

this song makes me happy.
  10:24am
WilD Neil:

"Save the earth....
Save the earth...
Stop pollution..."
-Godzilla Vs. The Smog Monster
  10:24am
WilD Neil:

Sounds like PiL
  10:25am
Cecile:

Jason, I think I'm just bitter and annoyed by any rock writer that isn't me or my friend Keith Harris. LOL! Good thing I took some time off.
  10:27am
pierre:

i love good Neighbors, in gascony some of my good Neighbor said a french/gascon expression : "Mieux vaut un bon voisin qu'un mauvais cousin", "Better a good Neighbor than a bad cousin" … sounds better in french.
  10:28am
Cecile:

When neighbors are good, they are like a family you choose, with no shared parental baggage.
  10:28am
Moon in June:

@das Check this web for a well designed web of a band www.xxauxx.com (don't worry, it's not porn!)
  10:29am
pierre:

@ Cecile : a bit like wfmu actually ^^
  10:29am
Cecile:

das, I would just look at good websites, period.
Also, it's better to be a little plain but be able to find things than fancy and incomprehensible.
  10:29am
Cecile:

perhaps! LOL!
  10:29am
WilD Neil:

In New Mexico, my friend lived in a neighborhood where everybody was welcome to go into anyone elses house or garage, no problem, they were that mellow! Snow Houses in Alamogordo...(Snow was a builder, not an igloo!)
  10:32am
das:

@Moon: not that I doubt your word, but I think I'll wait until I get home to check that one out.
@cecile: that makes too muc h sense
  10:33am
Cecile:

I know.
  10:34am
Cecile:

You can never go wrong with neat, black hand-writing style type or actual handwriting on a white background.
  10:35am
Moon in June:

flower-punk
  10:35am
postmanpaul:

I like that expression "Better a good Neighbor than a bad cousin", pierre, it fits nicely somewhere down the food-chain of extended family accountabilities/responsibilities.
  10:36am
Cecile:

Love War, sampled or not.
  10:36am
Bad Ronald:

How's this for a simple site?

http://thedickies.com/
  10:37am
dc pat:

  10:37am
das:

@Bad R: it brings simplicity to a whole new level!
  10:40am
Richard from Venezuela:

Good morning Jason and all the listeners.
  10:42am
Cecile:

Aw, nothing like the old school to cheer this codgerette up.
  10:43am
WilD Neil:

Reminds me of Run DMC back in 85? Peter Piper etc...
  10:44am
cobra dan:

we did grow corn in our front yard
  10:45am
hubba:

The guy behind this also holds art/idea/happening salons at his geodesic dome outside LA that I'd like to attend -- if you can get in with nothing in the idea holster.
  11:05am
Cecile:

that's inspiring. Maybe we can take out the shrubberies and put in some raised boxes in our front yard...

T. says, "sounds like work..." I believe was vocied by Tracy Morgan... anyone know a musical reference to "sounds like work?"
