Cecile:

I know, jamesie, was just being a smartass.

DCE it's a lovely sponge cake covered in jam and then rolled up and sliced.

Not to be obvious or anything but also: double entendre. It is the blues.

I thought the double entendre was more of a sex thing
  9:43am
dc pat:

I'm having a vegetable sandwich with tapenade and shriracha on multi-grain bread
  9:44am
Cecile:

I had some string cheese and a depth charge. Fighting a cold, so no appetite.
  9:44am
Dead Corporate Eyes:

  9:44am
Cecile:

never too early!
  9:45am
dc pat:

  9:46am
dc pat:

some would argue it's too early for sandwich too...wine in the morning, breakfast at night...
  9:46am
Dead Corporate Eyes:

yeah, I put hot sauce on omelletes on the rare occasions that I eat omelletes. but sriracha...that's strictly after noon for me

  10:13am
T-Zero:

Morning, Scott. Jelly Roll Morton seems to be following me wherever I go today. lol Woke up early, early this morning with a local college station tuned to country and playing Jelly Roll Morton. (This is *not* a bad thing, by the way.)
  10:15am
Cecile:

wow the mastering on this is amazing.
  10:24am
pierre:

this is so nice.
thanks
  10:24am
postmanpaul:

Hey fred! Everything is in hand for the 1st of October, thanks : )
  10:25am
Cecile:

you know, the more I learn about the history of jazz and blues, the more I understand why many musicians resented rock. I see what John Coltrane was doing in '61, and then I see the pop music of the time.

Not that I don't love both to death, but now I get it.

What's on Oct 1, PMP?
  10:26am
trouble:

gorgeous show scott! hope i see you next saturday at roland p young performance at the paterson public library. bring the kids! good morning jamesie, hellos to your family from all of us.
  10:26am
T-Zero:

Did I miss an explanation on a mic break as to the reason for this Jelly Roll set? A tribute to his birth on 20 Sept? (Not complaining, mind you. Just wondering.)
  10:27am
Cecile:

hola, trouble! I bought a Roland P. Young CD after his appearance on your show, love it.
  10:28am
Cecile:

T-Zero, Hans Chew is a pianist in the style of Jelly Roll.
  10:28am
threelobed:

t-zero - i'm presuming it's a lead in to today's live hans chew set.
  10:30am
T-Zero:

Ahhhhhh. Well, slap me silly. Thanks. I didn't know who Hans Chew was. Now, I'm *really* looking forward.

I loved this era and style of music since before I could walk.
  10:32am
Cecile:
