A viking ship appears on the horizon, a likeness of Alice Coltrane carved into its bow. Rare birds flock together to sing Francoise Hardy as soul hits. A sunset of blips and bleeps fills the air.

  9:28am
PSS:

  9:29am
trouble:

bonjoir pierre! ca va?
  9:29am
Brian in UK:

trouble, my wife has been knitting me this beautiful Arran sweater.......... for the last two years. It's kinda tabard right now. There is certainly a nip in the air but not chilly. The colours on the trees are enough to stop your peregrination just to take them in.
  9:31am
pierre:

ça peut aller, i'm in a position where i have to clear my mind.
Clean things… so yeah it's ok, just feels like there stuff moving.
  9:31am
Andrew:

what is this john cage an excerpt of?
  9:32am
glenn:

john cage sounds just like vincent price.
  9:33am
pierre:

How about you, do you like fall?
  9:34am
trouble:

andrew i don't know, it is a blogosphere find...pierre I love fall as a season but it flies by and that is maddening
  9:35am
healey:

Philadelphia is beautiful this morning!!! Breezy and fall-like, a little cloudy but lovely nonetheless.
  9:38am
pierre:

yeah, cold's coming.
hot wine, cinammon time… i like the stuff human takes to warm their soul during winter/fall… egg nog and such…

(btw : trouble, i think agnès Jaoui (good prononciation) 's album name is "Dans mon pays")
  9:39am
Maria T:

That Meg Baird record is next level great. Thanks for playing it!
  9:39am
Andrew:

it is too fast here, we go from winter to summer & spring doesnt last. (it's spring here now)

I just noticed it was Art Clokey's 90th birthday, according to the google logo. (he did Gumby)

I love Nina!
  9:43am
Caryn:

"Dark they were and golden eyed" is a great short story by Bradbury. Not sure if there's ever been a filmed version, though the story would've made a perfect Twilight Zone episode.
  9:43am
Vivian:

The colors are starting to turn down here in GA. Went apple picking last Sunday, what fun! Can't wait to do some baking with my bounty.
  9:44am
Caryn:

Ha, just googled it, and NPR did a "Bradbury 13" in 1984 with this as one episode, so that might be the source.
  9:44am
healey:

Trouble, I love today's art! What a delight to see birds in the modern world as well as hear them :)
  9:50am
moose:

i could watch davey and goliath endlessly (re art clokey- watch 'gumby dharma')
  9:51am
Patrick:

Good morning trouble.
  9:52am
moose:

  9:54am

vivian, lots of pectin in apples, considered jamming it with some fruit? Plums, damsons, cherries, elderberries, blackberries.
  9:54am
pierre:

  9:54am
Bev:

Hi Lynn, Just listening for a few minutes before I run my last errands. I like Big Maybelle. I am pretty organized for my trip. Take care.
  9:55am
trouble:

hello patrick, moose! we are fundraising on line this morning everybody! pledge at wfmu.org and support great radio. get a t-shirt and or the sun ra remix collection : fab!!!
  9:58am
Vivian:

Brian, that is a great idea! Is it simply boiling apple pieces in water to extract the pectin? I could try my hand at jamming pears, plums and strawberries, the current fruits at my farmer's market.
  9:59am
erella:

Hello trouble. Lovely to hear you this gorgeous day. Loving the music.
I was looking to find out more info about this stella song. I found this crazy unrelated (except for the title) track

  10:30am
Rob W:

Great job Pat and nice to hear you on the mic! And you too Trouble - I thought your opening set today was a primer in the under-appreciated art of segue and transition - beautifully done. Now - everybody pledge!
  10:34am
pierre:

i'd love to help with some traduction, but it was impossible to find infos on these musicians. :(
  10:37am
healey:

You're welcome! Peaches can be tough....they get a little squishy. I like to make peach jam or do peach halves with vanilla bean, to eat on top of ice cream all year long :)
  10:44am

Brian in UK:

Hey vivian if you are still there. Apologies had to go out suddenly. Add apples so that it helps fruit to set. It's a British obsesssion with setting. French love it runny. boil fuit & sugar together in thick bottomed pan 'till it thickens put in sterilised bottles.
