I bought my first record player in 52-52, the RCA with the big spindle and all my records were 45's. My first purchase was Johnny Ray's Cry. Wouldn't you know. I had previously bought it on 78 but had to have the state of the art for "the Collection".

Jeff (jbm) M:

There's so much goodness in those chart sweeps - I keep wanting to hear more of some songs.

(sweet transition into your bed music - thought it was just another 1959 hit coming for a few seconds)
  8:40pm
JC:

Help! I love the Wilbert Harrison song" I'm so Happy" where can i buy it?!
  8:42pm
Jeff (jbm) M:

The wacky stuff some of those country types back in the day felt the need to write and sing about the damned hippies is funny until you consider that pretty much the same culture clash is carried on to this day - the clothes have changed (some), but the fear and mean-spriritedness are still tearing our country and political system apart...

cb2:

CB1 is power down.
