Listener comments!

  9:11am
Cheri Pi:

One of my fave Epiothiques! G'mornin to Jason and his Free Speech board.
  9:15am
jason:

  9:21am
Tom G:

  9:24am
Robin The Fog:

Gosh, this is just what I'm needing right now. Bloomin' marvellous...
  9:27am
Jay/ London:

hey robin the fog how you doing ?
  9:28am
still b/p:

Whoever pulls my name in the family Xmas gift exchange will choose something that costs too much, with barely a 50/50 chance of it being appealing or useful. When all they really have to do is get me any single Ethiopiques volume.
  9:29am
Robin The Fog:

Hello Jay!!! Not too bad, mate, bit woozy after nightshift! How's your good self?
  9:33am
Jay/ London:

@ robin the fog been in hospital 3 weeks ago had to have a op
still off work hope to go back on the 14th so in the mean time listening to a lot of this station
  9:34am
Robin The Fog:

Thank God for WFMU, eh? Hope you're feeling better and it wasn't anything too serious?
  9:38am
Jay/ London:

@ robin the fog just very very painful still can not walk far good the local pub is not far away must of all i miss seeing my friends
  9:45am
Robin The Fog:

Sorry to hear all this, Jay, not good news at all! Anything I can do to help? Would a mixtape cheer you up?
  9:50am
jason:

best wishes to you Jay!
  9:52am
Robin The Fog:

This music is certainly making ME feel better, though I appreciate my needs are not as great! ;-)
  9:52am
Cecile:

remember what Albert Ayler said, Jay, "music is the healing force of the universe."
I've re-cuped to WFMU, it is a great treatment.
  9:53am
dc pat:

Sorry I'm late boss! Ride took longer than I thought....got any Scratch Acid? Goin to see them tomorrow..
  9:59am
Visionista:

Mmm... DUB Pies!
  9:59am
Jay/ London:

@ robin the fog oh yes that would great !!! @ jason thanks this station keeps me sane ...just @ ceccile yes wfmu is just what the doc ordered
  10:00am
Cecile:

Nice, dcp! Tell me how it goes. They did some batshit crazy shows in the 80s.
  10:01am
Cecile:

Like they had seen pure evil and were traumatized by it - not revelling in it.
  10:06am
dc pat:

I never got to see them back in "the day" so I'm pretty psyched. But that's not to surprising, I missed all kinds of good stuff...
  10:08am
Robin The Fog:

@Jay Hmm, let me see what I can come up with. I'll have to get my cassette player up and running again for it to be a TRUE mixtape. In the meantime, should anything happen to WFMU, these might get you started: http://www.mixcloud.com/RobinTheFog/ Apologies for self-promotion, Jason. Call it a humanitarian effort! ;-)
  10:10am
Cecile:

Someone threw a glass of pop at the band at the Graystone in I think '85 (this was an all-ages venue) and David Yow's eyes got huge and he just lost it - started ranting, his eyes got big and then he started wandering around in the crowd. The band kept playing...lol.
  10:11am
Cecile:

Robin, what do you do to make your mixes?

BTW, I love Mixcloud. Been spending a lot of time there.
  10:13am
Jay/ London:

@ robin the fog you don't have to do that, but if you can it would be good. you still got my email address ?
  10:15am
dc pat:

yeah, I'm staying away from that lunatic. maybe I'll just chuck a bag of chips at him but nothing serious...
  10:15am
pierre:

Bonjour Jason !
Bonjour listeners extraordinaires !
  10:16am
Robin The Fog:

Actually, might just have to be a CD. Am away for a week after tomorrow, no time to run around wiring new things up. Leave it to me, I'll find you some treats!
  10:17am
Cecile:

I remember reading Yow's record picks a while back from Spin, and it turns out he listens to tons of old Flying Nun stuff. LOL>
  10:17am
pierre:

I pledge my love to your show (and others) on a friday. How stupid i am? Anyway i hope you saw the message of gratefulness.
  10:17am
Robin The Fog:

PS What is this effect that the squelchy wubba-wubba of the 303 has on me, Jason?
  10:18am
Jay/ London:

@ robin the fog THANKS !!! :)
  10:24am
jason:

yes, i did Pierre thank you very much and to all who support WFMU even just by listening and channeling positive energy, spreading the word and sharing the sound
  10:25am
Cecile:

@jason, I showed my boss the link to the FMA, and he was blown away. "How much is it?" "It's free." "It's illegal, right?" "Nope!"
  10:34am
jason:

that is o.s.s.u.m.
  10:34am
Jay/ London:

@ Jason Real like this Revolution :)
  10:37am
Cecile:

I also told him if he liked it so much to make sure to donate to WFMU. "WFMU does that? Really!"
  10:38am
pierre:

your show's great, and you are doing such a great job.

@ Cecile: best things in life are free - music archive
  10:41am

  10:43am
Jay/ London:

@ cecile as long as we all keep donating to wfmu it will stay that way
  10:45am
still b/p:

  10:50am
Sam:

Stan Hubbs looks like Steve Buscemi
  10:52am

  11:36am
northguineahills:

A classic King Tubby record...nice!
  11:43am
Ike:

FINALLY just tuned in -- had an epic saga of a commute this morning. It felt like I was one of the distant voices trapped and hollering in this great delicious Yamantaka/Sonic Titan ruckus.
  11:44am
dc pat:

that was amazing...sounded a bit like...let's see, Scratch Acid!
  11:49am
Mike East:

@Ike - last night I waited on the longest line I've ever seen at the Port Authority...and I've seen some really long ass lines!
  11:52am
glenn:

dumb question - does the port authority actually have anything to do with ports theses days?
  11:55am
Mike East:

@glenn - yes, they manage and profit from them.
  11:57am
Yair Yona (Tel Aviv, Israel, Earth):

Hi folks, how is everybody? long time etc
  11:58am
Ike:

Ugh, @M.E. My problem was just a confluence of small delays at all the wrong spots -- Newark Light Rail screwed up for movie filming, PATH just late enough to botch the syncing btwn. NWK & JSQ, N/R no-shows, etc. But at least I don't have to go thr. PABT.
