Great start to the show, Amanda! Alas, it is past 3 a.m. here, and I'm sick, so it's time I go to bed. Good night, all, and have a great show!
  8:15pm
DP:

Damn Nice second fiddlin" Amanda!
  8:16pm
Ben Drinken:

I have a bottle of cheap wine in my garage that I opened last night and didn't finish. The cork screw broke and I ended up having to do the strereotypical cheap thing and push the cork down into the bottle. I drank some of it last night but it is still out there in the garage. maybe I should go back out there tonght and drink some of it in honor of Mr. Finewine and Amanda on the air.
  8:17pm
Amanda:

Feel better, Caryn! Thanks, DP...

BD, I endorse this behavior heartily.
  8:19pm
Caryn:

Thanks, Amanda. I hope to feel better soon, since due to my illness I've been rendered deaf in one ear (been 10 days now) and it's cutting into my WFMU listening...
  8:25pm
Ben Drinken:

When I went out to the garage I discovered two bottles of cheap wine. Both opened in the pushing the cork down into the bottle method. One was empty and the other between half and three quarter full, with the busted up cork floating around in it. apparently I drank the one bottle and started the other and did not remember. I must have had a time trying to snap off and push that cork down on that second bottle to get some drink if I don't remember it until now.

  8:40pm
Ben Drinken:

this set is delicious. Just like that fine bottle of cheap wine I brought inside from the garage. It has been chilled just right out there. it is a fine bottle of cheap wine.
  8:45pm
Amanda:

Cheap will do just fine, Ben. And if there's some left over tomorrow you can use it to cook with!
  8:47pm

  8:59pm
G:

No, MK, but I lived in the UK 1971-74, and my sister lived there in 1998-2008.

In 1973, at the St Albans record store they asked if I was a was a 15yo DJ because I always special-ordered tons of US soul records that were barely getting released over there then. But I was just missing AM radio in my home town of Detroit...

Any comment reader here knows MK is in the UK :-)
