	2:27am slugluv1313: @ Julie -- good question! all these bands -- Blondie, Ramones, Patti Smith, Television, etc., all played at CBGB's, Max's Kansas City, etc. during that mid-1970s time period -- ALL had way different sounds but were all way different from what was popular at the time -- disco, "progressive" rock, etc. . . at some point, the media decided to lump 'em all together under the terms "punk," "new wave," etc. . .

	2:27am slugluv1313: @ Julie -- good question! all these bands -- Blondie, Ramones, Patti Smith, Television, etc., all played at CBGB's, Max's Kansas City, etc. during that mid-1970s time period -- ALL had way different sounds but were all way different from what was popular at the time -- disco, "progressive" rock, etc. . . at some point, the media decided to lump 'em all together under the terms "punk," "new wave," etc. . .
