EMT:

Anyone know CPR?
  12:19am
ryan:

Hellbound might be my favorite of the series.
  12:22am
ryan:

Though I also speak highly of Freddy's Revenge, which makes me maybe not the best person to discuss sequels with.
  12:26am
Wm.:

Na way, Hellbound is great. The first is the classic, but Hellbound has that viewer's advantage of "we know the drill," which can also be a drawback, I suppose. Big dropoff after Hellbound, though. What with that Cenobite who kills with flying CDs and all....
  12:34am
ryan:

I just looked it up, I had no clue they were up to 9 Hellraisers now. I don't think I saw anything past the 4th one. I am also pretty sure I didn't know there were any past the 4th one. It is like the Prophecy or Puppet Master series. Where I just stumble upon yet another addition while flipping through channels at 2 in the morning.
  12:37am
Rory:

The original Hellraiser was enough for me. I hate sequels.
  12:38am
Wm.:

Puppet Master could go into the double digits, I would never tire of it....
  12:43am
ryan:

I've almost bought Full Moon's huge DVD set a number of times, but always stop short. I love a number of them, though there are a few that just bore me to tears. I haven't tried any of the retro series though. Have you seen any of them? Worth the time?

Wm.:

Mmmmmm stick to the 5 originals.
  12:50am
ryan:

I think it was 3, the (first) one that is set back in WW2. That is still one of my favorite movies. It was the second one I saw, the first one being the first one, and I was just stunned at how they went back and built up the history. I loved it.
  12:52am
ryan:

of course now every movie has a prequel.
  1:06am
dw:

HNY Wm.! I went a lookin for that Ov after you played them previously and there's nigh mention...awesome to hear some more, thanks! Oh yeah, those Puppet Masters's are pretty great!
  1:12am
ryan:

dw - http://primalvomitrecs.blogspot.com/ or http://prisontatt.com/distro.html can lead you to the ov tape.
  1:15am
dw:

Thanks Ryan, I guess their Myspace is not as up-to date...
  1:17am
ryan:

Yeah, he has pretty much let the myspace go. Updates the blog and has a facebook now as well.
  1:18am
dw:

Also Gigantic Hideout is greatness! This now too, on Weird Forest, a great label!
  1:19am
dw:

This entire set is scorching!

I'm not a big 'epic metal' fan, but I'd highly recommend this, Ephemer, it's more punk than Celtic or whatever... http://spectresinistre.bigcartel.com/product/ephemer-guerre-et-gloire-tape

issac from Tijuana:

just spend entire new years eve watching indiana jones saga (i know, i know) ... the intro on that track form A.M.S.G is from the heart extracting ritual in Temple of Doom

Incredible show tonight. I'm going to download that Grimtown Records compilation immediately.

GREAT GREAT show Wm.! Already excited for next week! Did you see the Tim & Eric Movie trailer? http://www.funnyordie.com/videos/8f87740a30/tim-eric-s-billion-dollar-movie-red-band-trailer
  2:55am
Wm.:

I've only seen the teaser - will have to check out the full trailer. ... Thanks for listening & enjoying, everyone!

slugluv1313:

excellent excellent show, Wm.! i am inspired to look for stuff like . . . well perhaps you may be one of the chosen few actually possess this KNOWLEDGE! do you recall a film in the early 1970s, something like, "How Awful About Aggie"? i remember the ads in the newspapers for the film, saying something about the ending being so shocking, "NO-ONE ADMITTED DURING THE LAST TEN MINUTES!!!"
  3:01am
Rory:

Lussuria has been one of my favorites too. Ghost Entanglement LP and the cassettes.
  3:03am
Wm.:

How Awful About Allan, with Tony Perkins
  3:07am
Wm.:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0065858/ ...directed by Curtis Harrington, who also did What's the Matter with Helen? with Shelley Winters, and Night Tide, Dennis Hopper's first starring role.
  3:14am
slugluv1313:

THANK YOU, Wm.! yes, that is the one i found -- but it was a TV movie -- the one i recall was a theatrical release and may have been one of those rare-at-the-time X-rated horror films -- may have been "aunt Aggie" or "how horrible about . . . " . . . i *think* the "shocking ending" was something like Aunt Aggie (or whatever her name was!) having been dead for years but still just sitting by the stove . . . does that sound like anything you have seen??? (sorry for all the goofy questions but your shows always get me obsessed with this stuff!)
  3:55am
Wm.:

Bells not ringing, but I'll do some research
  4:48am
slugluv1313:

thank you so much!

Think maybe slugluv1313 is referring to 'Sometimes Aunt Maggie does Dreadful Things!" ('71) ??
Great show, William.
  4:02pm
slugluv1313:

I FOUND IT! it is called "Memories Within Miss Aggie" -- directed by Gerard Damiano (!) -- here is the review from "The New York Times" (by Vincent Canby -- !), complete with revelations about that *shocking* ending, which is similar to what i remember (did not recall that it was a Damiano film either, but YEEKS! i was only 15 years old at the time!):

http://movies.nytimes.com/movie/review?res=9E0DE4DA113BE53ABC4B51DFB066838F669EDE

and here is a link with the movie poster -- again, similar to what i remember, especially that *warning* about the "shocking conclusion"! :)

http://www.movieposter.com/poster/A70-4955/Memories_Within_Miss_Aggie.html

do you remember this, Wm.? have you seen it? i have not, but i do not know if it is even out on DVD . . . how about anyone else out there?

and THANK YOU AGAIN for INSPIRING these *obsessions*!!!
  4:46pm
Wm.:

Congratulations on your recall! No, this one slipped by me completely, like most porn films that try to make the art leap. Generally, I'm much more into cult or horror films with soft-core content. I'm intrigued; will have to look for video on this one!
  6:06pm
slugluv1313:

hi again!

yes, i think i must have been more intrigued by the horror element myself -- i did not even remember that is was an actual "adult" film!

let me know what you think if you get a chance to view "Miss Aggie" -- in the meantime, i am going to see if i can find "How Awful About Alan" and "Sometime Aunt Maggie Does Dreadful Things" -- cannot recall if i have seen either!

again, THANKS A BUNCH! hopefully i shall be able to tune in later!
