Tommy was my pal ever since I met him in 1983, We shared a similar love of outthere music and humor. He would always chide me about my other favs, "your little Flamin' Groovies". Showed him a boot of the Groovies doing "I Want You Bad" to rib him back. This a sad end to an era. Play the Beach Boys' "A Young Man Is Gone" for Tommy. All too true.

Bob - Thanks so much for the two weeks of tribute shows and your many years as one of the Q's most ardent and erudite public supporters. A question for you: What does "*=new" indicated? New to the show? New to your library? A new release? Inquiring minds ...
Anyway, I hope youdo a show or segment dedicated to song-poems sometime.
best,
Dan Aloi
