I like the night life baby! I used to air drum to this when I was 15. Looked like an idiot but didn't care.

Red, you are not correct.

I stand corrected. I thought you meant her former producer, who is also an excellent singer.
  11:41am

Always like the 1960s Travis Wammack tunes. Good 'un.
  11:46am
Paul:

Backin the 80s Amee Mann used to work at the original Newbury Comix in Boston. We were ther one Saturday when Ric Okasek came in to Browse. of course we were too cool to notice but Amee and Ric were all chatty and rock and roll. We spent the next hour making fun, but wishing we could join in.
  11:59am
Eugene Edwards:

Thanks for the spin, Michael. I had just tuned in mid guitar solo. Pleasant way to start a rainy day in LA.

thanks for that info, glenn. explains a lot.

Rob from Texas:

Sorry to hear the news about Johnny Otis. I used to catch his show at the Powerhouse Brew Company each Saturday morning in Sebastopol California when I lived in Santa Rosa CA on KPFT. Great musician who passed along terrific rock and roll stories and he was very political in nature. Interesting, well rounded man to say the least. You have a great show as well Michael!
  12:30pm
glenn:

especially if you're trying to figure out how to play blind blake songs.
he must have been using some crazy heavy strings.
  12:35pm
MonkeyMan:

MS... You r the best!
  12:43pm
Parq:

Kids, stick around and we'll explain what "call you up, invest a dime" means in a little while.
  12:44pm
calzone!:

Cool cover of The Turtles. Can it get any whiter?
  12:48pm
Eugene Edwards:

Yeah, the Vogues really buried the funk from the original Turtles track.
  12:51pm
G:

Thanks for the Brian Wilson link. Great composer, but really scary in person now. Can't figure out whether he's at an early step along the road toward Dick Clark, or whether he is auditioning for the next "This is Your Brain On Drugs" campaign.
  12:54pm
G:

not making the 60 second limit today lol
