I will make a yearly pledge for life thanks to this show.. always loved wfmu but it needed a home for cutting edge classical good brain food and a great antitode to girl/boy songs!

Rifkin seemed aimed at classical, especially with Joplin's one opera. There were also the folkies David Laibman and Eric Schoenberg, on guitars.

The Ragtime revival hit the common consciousness in the mid-70s. Believe it coincided with the release of book and movie Ragtime, and centered around Scott Joplin's remarkable music. Amazing program tonight, Bethany, thank you.
