Morning brother Scott!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:20am Scott:

Hey Doug! Good morning to you.
  9:24am bruceleh:

Good morning, Scott.
A real bummer about megaupload getting busted, eh?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:27am Scott:

Hey Bruceleh, good morning. Don't worry, the hot new site is megasuperupload.com.
  9:31am Chris from DC:

How have I managed never to hear "Lake"? Great.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:33am Scott:

I just heard it recently for the 1st time when I went on a RY bender
  9:37am fred:

Good morning Scott
I saw Fire! yesterday, Gustafsson was wearing a Cramps T-shirt
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:40am Scott:

Confusion reigns.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:40am Scott:

Wow, fred, cool!
  9:40am Chris from DC:

Oh. Well Zaika was great too.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:41am Scott:

Ha, I was thinking, wow this is heavier than I recall.
  9:42am KickTheBobo:

Love the show, Scott! You've turned me on to so much great music.

Okay, who was the artist(s) that did that awesome drone-y guitar jam prevously? Soy Confuso!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:43am Scott:

Sorry! DJ syntax error. That was Zaika (Tom Carter from Charalambides & Marcia Bassett from Double Leaopards).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:46am Scott:

50 lashes in the DJ dungeon/basement record library.
  9:56am max:

morning everyone, these richard young jams make for surprisingly good wake up music
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:03am Scott:

Hi max!
  10:08am Ken From Hyde Park:

I don't know how you do it, Scott. Every week, three hours of music that's beyond belief. Where the heck do you find these songs? May the marathon gods smile blessings upon you.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:11am Scott:

Hey Ken, thanks! I don't know where I find these songs! Really. Indeed, marathon coming soooonish. Wow.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:28am Doug S.:

This Baby Dodds slays me every time.
  10:37am fred:

This Sublime Frequencies CD is actually a compilation. If you like these you should check out the Kink Gong records, there are many great things from China that haven't made it to SF releases yet
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:43am Scott:

Thanks, I will check that out!
  10:44am Dead Corporate Eyes:

good sounds, good morning!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:45am Scott:

acutally, the Sublime Freq album is field recordings made in 2006 by Laurent Jenneau.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:46am Scott:

In the liners it says that he heard some similar music previously on a French double CD titled CNRS Musee de Lhomme.
  10:47am fred:

Yeah, that's the same guy, Kink Gong is the name of the series/label. Beware, there are many many CDs. I have about twenty and that's not a lot
  10:50am fred:

Maybe the record library holds some of those
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:51am Scott:

  10:52am ranjit:

fred, i have a little amazon credit to spend, and they have a lot of kink gong mp3s for sale - can you recommend 1 or 2 favorite kg albums i should try?
  10:57am Dead Corporate Eyes:

man, this is FANTASTIC!!
  10:57am fred:

It really depends on the kind of music you like, like singing vs instrumental, and the kind of instrument. Try the short samples to get an idea, it's so diverse
  10:59am yayson:

killin it today scott macdowell

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:23am Scott:

I must sounds like an idiot. jesus. Don't even get me started on Finnish.
  11:24am Cheri Pi:

You sounded great!-almost almost had it.
No one can pronounce Finnish.
  11:26am Cecile:

Finnish isn't that hard - just gotta take it syllable by syllable.
  11:26am Cecile:

the cadence is usually BAH-bah-bah-bah-bah.
  11:26am Dead Corporate Eyes:

luckily there will never be a rule that you can't play music from artists whose names you can't pronounce.
  11:35am Diction Coach:

Very finished pronunciation.
  11:35am Cecile:

that coins on her hips song was so close to being great, but just not quite there...
  11:36am Cecile:

man. I don't think there has ever been a bad DJ Kicks.
  11:36am Nathan:

I'm liking this direction..
  11:38am Nathan:

Hmm... Muscles of Joy are playing at Durrr here in London on Feb 3rd.
  11:49am Marmalade Kitty:

  11:51am BSI:

  11:56am sinner:

  11:56am Cecile:
