  12:21pm Bad Ronald:

Blistering opening set Joe!
  12:23pm glenn:

good aft., y'all.
  12:26pm glenn:

is a columbian necktie anything like a south african necklace?
  12:27pm Cecile:

yes.
  12:27pm Mike East:

What up, Rock n Rollers!
  12:29pm Wiki:

A Colombian necktie is a method of execution wherein the victim's throat is slashed and his or her tongue is pulled out.
  12:30pm glenn:

eeek.
  12:30pm tim from champaign:

Actually, a colombian necktie is an ascot wearing a dickie.
Avatar 12:32pm Joe B:

Hi Mike and tim! wow, never knew what a columbian necktie was. i guess that is what they do to their losing soccer players.
  12:33pm glenn:

naw, they just shoot them.
  12:34pm SmokinJ:

Don't know about their neckties but their grass is good :)
  12:35pm glenn:

no, you're thinking of british columbia.
  12:36pm jljl:

if you want a slightly longer song to say hi to your fans, those Screaming Tribesmen reissues have great stuff and fit in
  12:36pm Leonard Graves Phillips:

did someone say "dickie"?
  12:39pm Thierry:

Bonsoir Joe! Listening to those sizzling tracks from Lille, France.
Avatar 12:40pm Joe B:

bad ronald! what's up man! sorry, missed you before! Hi Thierry and jijl! we dont have the screaming tribesmen reissues.
  12:42pm jljl:

Damn. Well this DBCR sounds good, whoever they are
  12:46pm Bad Ronald:

Ha, no worries! Today's show has been above and beyond spectacular thus far. Keep up the good work, thanks!
  12:52pm SHIMMY:

Estrus put something out in 2005?!
  12:52pm SHIMMY:

thought they were already dormant by then...
Avatar 12:54pm Joe B:

guess it was the waning days! but they also put out the DMBQ comp around then 2004 actually.
  12:58pm SHIMMY:

met Crider in 2006 in Portugal. Asked him what was next for Estrus and he said "I have no idea."
  12:59pm jljl:

Estrus and Empty were so good, they need to do a reunion.
  1:01pm Cecile:

it's a great song. It should be in heavy rotation somewhere.
Avatar 1:09pm Joe B:

I had Crider on once, cursed up a blue streak, and this was before we had the dump button!
Avatar 1:10pm Joe B:

@jijl - DBCR - the only guy I know in it is Jason Victor on lead guitar, from Willard Grant Conspiracy, and Steve Wynn's band.
  1:13pm drr:

This ("No More Waiting") is very Troggs-y.
  1:16pm PFFlyer:

Just became aware of this; you're home town man is travelling again IF this of any interest to anyone. Bruce is on the prowl again. Story: Circa 1980, he walks into Jay's Longhorn, Minneapolis & casually gives, I believe Curtiss A, tickets to his show....someone slap me down if I'm wrong since I watched it happened, but consumed alot beer between then & this particular moment. Anyway, magic moments in R&R...we've all had 'em. Nice job live Siberians et all (& I'm not even a lawyer, hyuck yuck!)
Avatar 1:20pm Joe B:

good point dave! definitely troggs vibe!
  1:22pm Mike Sin:

Note -- they sent "No More Waiting" out to "Reg"... (Presley).
  1:24pm Garrett302:

Oh man! I wanted my new band to this song (That's the Bag I'm In). Couldn't talk 'em into it. Nice job Siberians.
  1:27pm rubble:

Cursing aside, Crider was a good guest.
Avatar 1:27pm Joe B:

garrett, new band? great news! keep us posted if you record anything!
  1:31pm Garrett302:

Will do!
  1:40pm SmokinJ:

These cats rock!
  1:40pm PFFlyer:

I love a good geetar chase scene!
  1:54pm Thierry:

There once was a NYC club called Siberia! where I saw the Lyres play.. one of my all time best concert memories.
Avatar 1:55pm Joe B:

That place is gone. it was fun while it lasted though!
  1:55pm holland oats:

i was listening to the lyres in the car over the weekend. such a great band
  1:56pm Mike East:

I used to play at Siberia, in the basement, which was I believe their second location. That was the closest thing to a New Brunswick basement that I ever saw in NY.
  1:56pm holland oats:

before it was a bar on 40th (or whatever) it was inside the 1-9 subway station at 50th!
  1:58pm Bluesman:

The Vipers played Siberia at least once. ("How 'Bout Some More" era). I even think Jon Weiss played door man for that place on the few ocassions I went there.
  2:00pm Thierry:

If I remember well, Siberia was underneath some old abandonned elevated train
  2:03pm Cecile:

Rob K isn't going to get a job at the NYC chamber of commerce any time soon.
  2:04pm PFFlyer:

ok, that tore it...I can't eat cheese balls, which I hardly ever do,& listem 2 the Belockshow. 1 finger typing ain't 4 me..Lyres,MOST exceptional band! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7adXS86llRo hope it works 4 ya'll, since I believe it's first class sound/vid. Thx lyres fans...ok, no more cheese BALLS!
Avatar 2:05pm Joe B:

gories tickets coming up!
  2:11pm Dan Elektro:

We rock the BEE-lock in the bike shop! Greets from Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Great show Mr. Joe!
  2:11pm seang:

let's rock!!
  2:12pm Cecile:

YES.
This is a terrific disco song.
  2:12pm Cecile:

I must own this. Where can I find it?
  2:14pm Cecile:

Machine was the original artist, produced by Dr Buzzard/Kid Coconut's August Darnell. Both versions are must-hear.
  2:16pm Cecile:

okay, I gotta get that disc.
Avatar 2:17pm Joe B:

Hi Dan and Sean! Cecile, which song? i lost track of the comments!
  2:18pm SteveL:

Rockin' per usual! Looking forward to seeing Apache Dropout way out here in the Midwest in February
  2:18pm Cecile:

HA
I used to own Outta Here.
I guess my effete ears at the time didn't dig the grit. Now it sounds great.

The song "There for the Grace of God Go I."
Avatar 2:19pm Joe B:

Oh ,yeah, great version! Hi SteveL! hope they come out here soon!
  2:19pm Cecile:

Can you play Cosmic Cars by the Dirtbombs?
  2:24pm efd:

Boy was I ever expecting this Hula Baby song to be the Neanderthals based on the intro!

aha, and I'm clearly not the only one who made that connection. :)
  2:24pm PFFlyer:

did...did...didI just hear "oink, roinkk, roinkkkkkk" on the Belock show? Jeez....back on the farm...just can't get away from it.
  2:41pm Cecile:

ha, this is funny.
And it's like that at shows.
  2:44pm Davey C.:

Diggin' THis!
  2:51pm Bad Ronald:

Bang Up show as usual Mr. Belock, peace!
  2:53pm Cecile:

I like the Bloody Hollies because they remind me of Clawhammer, the Lazy Cowgirls and Johnny Cash all at the same time.
Avatar 2:54pm Joe B:

ha! good point cecile, sorry didnt see your dirtbombs request until just a few minutes ago.
  2:56pm Cecile:
