Listener comments!

  3:05am Adam in Portland:

Glad to be a witness to this inaugural show!
  3:05am Caryn:

Nice start, Jonathan!
  3:09am Adam in Portland:

You've got me feeling like listening to some Caretaker."
  3:09am Adam in Portland:

Hahaha! You're at least one step ahead...
  3:10am Jonathan:

thanks adam and caryn! glad to be here with you guys tonight/this morning.
  3:14am Adam in Portland:

This show is a halcyon dream for me right now. Perfect for midnight-to-three in Portland, Oregon (home to Liz Harris, and now Mark Macguire too.)
  3:22am maja:

Good morning, nice tunes. it's 9:20 starting slowly on this dark day in amsterdam
  3:25am Jonathan:

morning maja! thanks for tuning in!
  3:34am Adam in Portland:

Anyone else here excited about the upcoming Codeine reissues? Numero Group, I think?
  3:37am Adam in Portland:

You handled that mic break like a pro. Soon you'll be trading phrases and anecdotes with Clay Pigeon.
  3:41am Jonathan:

i heard about those codeine reissues! very exciting. weird that its on numero, but great that they're happening. and thanks!
  3:42am an2netto:

Hello, nice music, as if it's still night in 10:40 Kyiv
  3:45am Adam in Portland:

I agree about Numero Group, but just relieved that new folks will more easily discover the beauty of those artifacts. I worked at Sub Pop when The White Birch was released. I didn't properly appreciate its power then, but I sure do now. I look forward to hearing extras.
  3:46am Adam in Portland:

[...am just relieved...]
  3:49am Jonathan:

heya an2netto!
  3:50am Adam in Portland:

Drifting off. Great show, Jonathan! I look forward to waking up to the archived remainder. Night, all.
  3:52am Jonathan:

thanks adam! have a great night.
  3:53am Eric in Olympia:

Great show, Jonathan! Good time slot for the Pacific time zone.
  3:54am Adam in Portland:

I'll definitely swing back through.
  3:58am (mta) Tony:

A fine show, indeed! Looking forward to hearing more from you...
  3:58am Greg:

I woke up at 4AM to watch tennis matches from Australia, now drinking my 2nd coffee to this night music when it's 10 AM my office hour here in Poland. Crazy time differences fixing! Great debut show, Jonathan!
  3:59am :

chain reaction recordings?
  4:00am :

yes, now I see, it is CR
  4:02am Jonathan:

thanks tony and greg! hopefully all this night music doesn't make all you european listeners sleepy at work...

and yep, this album was originally released on chain reaction, but was just reissued by type.
  4:12am T-Zero:

Just wanted to welcome you to the web-waves. Great show so far. Unfortunately at 4:00am here, must go to sleep and will have to catch the rest in the archives. Nice job, Jonathan.
  4:12am (mta) Tony:

European listeners realize they're listening to a radio station broadcasting live from NY/NJ where it's 4 in the morning. Anyway, interesting music like this is good at ANY time.
  4:26am Jonathan:

thanks for the kind words folks!
  4:55am Bas, NL:

Great tracks Jonathan! Very daytimely here, so listening in from work.
  4:57am B. LaBonte:

  4:58am an2netto:

  5:15am Jonathan:

yaaaay brad!

thanks bas and an2netto!
  5:22am Jonathan:

i guess rock bottom isn't very "upbeat" is it...
  5:23am Greg:

on music vs. times of night and day: in the really recent past I couldn't imagine to listen to some albums/type of music at night and vice versa. Listening to WFMU has changed this notion. You see, for the last hour of drons and minimalisms I've imagined that I'm in the sea of papers on my desk, and so on (OK, with gore'n'grind metal or plunderphonics woud be more difficult) . I'm not sure how far I will go with this idea - will check fruits of this surrealism tomorrow, but as for now it's alright.
  5:25am Greg:

Oh, you see - "Sea song"! It works!
  5:36am Jonathan:

ha! the second serendipitous moment on the comments tonight.
  5:45am pierre (non-listener listener):

Paris checking in !
Bonjour Jonathan and the listeners extraordinaires.
  5:58am maja:

i had a great time, thanks!
  4:56am sotek:

man, the dwarr track was epic! lp ordered, thx for the tip.
  1:01pm Billy Jam:

good show Jonathan!
