Listener comments!

  9:15am Caryn:

Hi Bob! Nice start to the show!
  9:30am John:

just something so tragic about the way PTSD seems to have affected david greenberger. but sometimes he's actually pretty cogent, like when complaining about pedestrians walking the wrong way and the like.
  9:37am Josh Norton:

John: Some research into David's work w/the Duplex Planet and his many collaborative CDs will clear up your concerns and your misconception.
  9:47am SmokinJ:

Mornin' bb! Great set!
  9:57am Marmalade Kitty:

"Yes, the River.." a beautiful Doors track, somewhat underrated
  10:00am Brian en Angleterre:

I'm with you MK. Waiting for the Sun. The most lyrical Doors album?
  10:04am Jack:

Not to Touch the Earth...my favorite. Waiting for The Sun = "The Departure" as per Bruce McCulloch (for all us Doors fans.)
  10:10am John:

thank you josh, I will check these out. just sort of been catching david on bob's show lately and taking him on face value without knowing much background
  10:17am Mike East:

Good morning, folks. Can I get anyone a cup of coffee?
  10:20am SmokinJ:

How 'bout a spliff and a Red Stripe? 8-)
  10:23am Mike East:

will you settle for yuengling and a bowl?
  10:23am Marmalade Kitty:

I've just read Bruce McCulloch -the departure.. Is it a song?
  10:25am Caryn:

@Mike: no coffee needed, but how about some tea?
  10:25am SmokinJ:

Never compromise...
  10:27am Marmalade Kitty:

just wondered, I'm not familiar with Bruce Mc..
  10:28am johnny again:

Thanks for the Procol Harum cut—the organ, the arrangement, voice..
  10:28am Jack:

sorry. Bruce McCullogh the Canadian comedian did a comic parody song bit called "Doors Fan". In it, he refers to Waiting for The Sun" as The Departure. I just saw the video bit, but the song "Doors Fan" itself is very funny and great music.
  10:29am Mike East:

@Caryn -I have some really good Earl Grey or herbal
@SmokinJ- respect
@MK - Bruce McCulloch did a monologue about what it means to be a Doors fan on "The Kids In the Hall" - an FMU DJ played the track recently.
  10:32am Marmalade Kitty:

thanks.. :)
  10:32am Caryn:

Thanks for the Procol Harum, bb! "A Salty Dog" my favourite album of theirs.
Bruce McCullogh's musical bits were always great. Forgot about the "The Departure" detail.
@Mike: Earl Grey would be great, thanks.
  10:43am not johnny again:

@10:28 wasn't J.A., it was me. Go, Gene Clark.
  10:51am dan kirk:

Bob, you're playing some of my all-time favorite music today, including Procol Harum, King Crimson, Innocence Mission, Gene Clark. NRBQ, Moby Grape, and "Then Play On" era Fleetwood Mac. But then, you always play my favorite stuff!
  10:54am Caryn:

There was some suspicion that you're going to play some Roy Harper today, bb. About an hour to see if that'll be proven right.
  10:55am Bob:

Twofer Tuesday with Gene Clark! That Pete Donnelly song was pretty great too.
  10:59am terry:

I love the Dilliard and Clark and Gene Clark stuff!!
