That MFSB track kept threatening to morph into the theme from Star Wars but never did. Meanwhile, Sal's post-Liquid Liquid industrial-dub combo Fist of Facts ROCKED THE HOUSE at Cameo Gallery Friday.
Avatar 12:17am
Therese:

Jack- I kept waiting for it to become "Arthur's Theme!"

You nailed that compound definition! "a fenced or walled-in area containing a group of buildings and especially residences."
  1:06am
Jack:

And i still have merriam-webster.com open; "swom" is indeed not a word.
  1:07am
musikoff:

The station is a compound of character and personality.
  1:07am
Ken From Hyde Park:

Is it more of a campus?
  1:07am

@ Jack, Swimpond is a speed dating meet at Strand.
  1:11am

Would attending to this conversation earn me compound interest?

It can get kind of rainy out here in the jungle. Your selections this evening are wonderful.
  1:42am
david:

that feeling of vindication when you know two artists in a row on this station :)
  1:45am
Jack:

Jeff, what's the indie-rock scene like out there in Hawaii? Anything to speak of/tap one's foot to?
  1:49am
spoonyp:

Thanks Therese it's getting cold.
  1:50am
spoonyp:

Any chance you got any Grand Funk Red record?
  1:52am

spoonyp:

Country Teasers? I'm freezing.
  2:00am
jeff in hawaii:

I miss nyc, mainly and mostly because there were so many shows to choose from here there may be a band or two in Puna, but because the island is made of lava, there's not much of a basement scene, if that makes any sense.
  2:00am
forkyp:

Any chance you can play whatever you feel like? :-)
  2:02am
jeff in hawaii:

That was intended to answer Jack's question. Hey, Jack.
Avatar 2:03am
Therese:

Jeff- no secret shows in hollowed out volcanoes?
  2:04am
Jack:

Hey Jeff! I enjoyed that answer, thank you. Was just putting together MY request list. Monkey Justice? Hairclip?
Murray "Fast" Malone Good-Time Band?
Love theme from Extreme Extremities VII: The Reupholstering? You know what, keep playin' what yer playin', i likes it!
  2:08am
Jack:

I have a photo of Jennifer O'Connor where it looks like she's giving me the finger. But that's just how she holds the pick. Or at least, that's what I tell myself every night before I sleep.
  2:08am
jeff in hawaii:

Not yet Therese; but there are such things in my area called lava tubes. You can walk through dome of them, even set up a five piece drum kit, where the acoustics would bounce so hard they'd make Steve Albini cry in happiness. Hmm, we all might be on to something.
  2:10am
Jack:

I bet the Volcano Suns would reunite to play there.
  2:13am
Jack:

Also the Tubes.
Set up a satellite club in Centralia.
It's all coming together!
  2:16am
jeff in hawaii:

I'd want both Therese and AP Mike to emcee the event.
  2:17am
Bill:

Spoiler alert. Mrs, King Penguin and I just enjoyed three hours of DA. Good luck in the marathon.
Avatar 2:18am
Therese:

Wow. This is how we're going to make our millions, Jeff & Jack.
Avatar 2:19am
Therese:

Hi Bill! I have DA waiting for me at home. I spend a good portion of Presidents' Day with the Crawley household.
  2:28am
jeff in hawaii:

We'll need a name, maybe Scharpling can guide us with that.
  2:28am
spoonyp:

Sorry if I'm a pain. Thank you for the Black Mountain! Just really cold and no stereo. Listing by candlelight on the phone.
  2:31am
jeff in hawaii:

Listening on my phone next to candle light too, spoony. Feel better.

  2:48am
Jack:

"I know he can GET the job. Can he DO the job? I'm not asking that. I'm not asking that." Oh how i love the Joe vs. the Volcano. May you live to be a thousand years old, Therese!
  2:48am
spoonyp:

Live @ Pompeii is greatest rock video ever. And I'm not a Pink Floyd fan.
  2:53am
Supercool!:

I actually saw that as a re-run in the village and like it so much that I paid a ton of $ for it on VHS in the early 80's
  2:53am
jeff in hawaii:

VOG is what is known here on the island as volcanic gas, which causes a smog-like effect here. We will be called Vog And The Brainclouds. Way different than Katrina And The Waves.
  2:56am
Greg:

Wow! Bare Mutants. On my radar Therese.
