  9:12am Ken From Hyde Park:

Hi, Scott & Fabio. Keep hauling in them pledges!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:12am Scott:

Good morning! It's a special day. Can you guess why?
  9:13am bruceleh:

Good morning Scott & Fabio.
Sorry I'm late!
  9:14am bruceleh:

How can I divide my beneficence amongst multiple DJs?
  9:16am bruceleh:

Maybe I should just send it all to Nachum - my ex-wife and kids are orthodox!
  9:17am Vicki:

Fabio's volume is fine - the main DJ mic is too low when Fabio is on
  9:21am Caryn:

Mornin' all!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:22am Scott:

thanks vicki!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:26am Scott:

  9:38am derp derp:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:42am Scott:

  9:42am wildneil:

How much IS a gram of coke these days, anyway? you could have a 1-gram, 5 gram and "8-Ball" pledge for all those Wall Street Dudes...
  9:45am bruceleh:

Dudes, I work on Wall Street, and as "IT consultant staff augmentation", got my rate cut by 10% effective March 5!
Nonetheless I still will make the great sacrifice and be a Mouse of the Day!
  9:47am Maestroso:

Morning! Just put my two cents in for this great show

10:19am Vicki (another one - WFMU one):

I'm pretty sure they don't say Glasgow like that :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:21am Scott:

  10:21am bruceleh:

  10:51am tim from champaign:

Woohoo! I'm a winner! Still enough of a loser though that I'd probably end up eating grapes if I went to an orgy.
  10:53am Michael From Elkins Park:

Don't forget to leverage your company's matching gift program (if they have one)....it's an easy way to increase your contribution to WFMU!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:53am Scott:

Thank you michael, yes that is true!

  11:05am hamburger:

  11:06am Kevin:

The weather is pretty shitty today. Gotta figure out a way to perk up the listeners
  11:07am Nathan:

The weather is nice somewhere...
  11:10am Ike:

Confidential to that pledger from Newark who says these sounds are "the best on the Internet": reception has improved now that WBGO has moved out of town, so try it over your FM stereo. It sounds warmer and wastes no bandwidth, and doesn't fail when your connection crashes.
  11:12am dave:

match that, you mooks.
  11:15am Adam in Portland:

Fabio, yet again, makes a very compelling case for pledging to WFMU.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:15am Scott:

dave you rock
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:16am Scott:

Fabio's on fire. I'm enjoying it. front row seat.
  11:17am dave:

  11:20am dave:

hey, don't encourage 'em to pledge! i don't want any more competition for that grand prize!
  11:23am Sandy in Houston:

I pledged!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:25am Scott:

Thanks Sandy! Movin' the status bar, I love it.
  11:27am Adam in Portland:

WFMU: real raw radio (that I just can't do without.)
  11:32am Sandy in Houston:

I will love that.
I will send y'all some records, I have an LP coming out with Tom Carter as soon as he finishes the screen printing. and a trio with damon smith & weasel walter CD.
  11:33am Adam in Portland:

Wow, Sandy! Some great projects in store!
  11:33am Wildwood Treeflower:

Why does he keep saying "filthy hippy music" like it's a bad thing?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:34am Scott:

Wondering the same thing!
  11:34am Vicki:

I'd like to hear Fabio explain that all again but for much longer with no bed music
  11:34am (Tel Aviv, Israel,Earth,Milky Way):

If the hippy isn't a tree-hugger, then it's alright. otherwise, he might be dirty.
  11:35am BSI:

Strength through filth!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:35am Scott:

Vicki I was trying to get him there!
  11:36am Sandy in Houston:

Thanks Adam!
  11:36am Adam in Portland:

Just imagine what trees communicate about our ripe hides. Hahaha. ;-)
  11:38am Vicki:

I'd like to know the minutia of the cut off point between the filthy hippy part of the music and the high end intellectual clean part of the music and how we know when to turn it off :) Can we have a Premium of it? Also The pound needs insulting too, please.
  11:40am dave:

that barn owl thing is just another reason why important records runs neck-and-neck with wfmu in the race to bankrupt me. how can people not be jumping at the chance to get in the running for it?
  11:40am Adam in Portland:

What. Dave. Said.
  11:41am dave:

little known fact: noted octaroon andy breckman is also 1/8th filthy hippy.
  11:41am Adam in Portland:

Fabio is disclosing it all! Hahaha.
  11:41am MD:

Fab..just outted himself!!!!
  11:41am Wildwood Treeflower:

You mean Geraldo Rivera?
  11:42am jt:

morton downey jr
  11:42am Ken:

Scott speaks of Morton Downey, Jr
  11:42am Andrew Waterloo:

Geraldo Rivera!
  11:42am Barney:

Maury Povich?
  11:42am mike noble in dc:

morton downey jr.
  11:42am Ken:

And by "Scott," of course I mean "Fabio."
  11:42am MD:

Fab...I will never listen to your show in the same state of mind...again..."Man!"
  11:43am jt:

M D jr is the one who also chain smoked
  11:43am mike noble in dc:

star of revenge of the nerds III
  11:43am Robert:

And for all we know, one of these DJs may have played his father's stuff.
  11:43am Wildwood Treeflower:

Barney, Povich was a relative latecomer to the genre. I think the Morton Downey guys have it right at that.
  11:47am Spectral Morton Downey, Jr.:

Don't be a pablum puker! Fatten up WFMU, you cheap bastards who haven't yet pledged! And get me some Marlboro longs!
  11:51am dave:

i've seen that dirashe tribe thing make the playlist comments totally blow up. where ARE those people?
  11:52am Bodah, DJ:

Love love love this Staring at the Sun set. This track is particularly gorgeous. Real question: how can it be Friday of the first week of the only radio marathon that is actually enjoyable to listen to and yet WFMU is only 1/3 OF THE WAY TO ITS OVERALL GOAL?! PONY UP, ghost of Morton Downey Jr -- give some of that cash you squeezed out of human misery to promote joy via Scott's excellent show
  11:52am Vicki:

Fabio... can you pronounce "Glasgow" again?
  11:54am Ike:

Yes, exactly, Fabio! "Dirty hippie" rolls off the tongue very nicely, but only if we use it derisively.
  11:55am dave:

oh, also, something i always wondered about the dirashe tribe piece: is there one guy in the tribe who spends his whole life perfecting that high-pitched ululation thing while everybody else is practicing the pan pipes? is that some sort of job security, being able to do that? does he sort of get shunned for not playing the pan pipes until everybody realises that what would really complete the piece is some high-pitched ululation?
  11:56am Spectral Morton Downey, Jr.:

Bodah: GET HIM OFF OF MY STAGE! Oh, wait, he is completely correct about me. I want to address you, the viewers out there and ask you to forgive me for my past mistakes, my past errors. Pledge with me, LACKEYS! Did I do that again? I'm sorry, sorry, sorry. I love this WFMU thing. More polka!
  11:58am Spectral Morton Downey, Jr.:

  11:58am Filthy Hippie:

I may be dirty but I ain't no poser, hipsters.
  12:00pm Spectral Morton Downey, Jr.:

I'm ready for a dust-up with all non-pledgers. Meet me in Chicago!
  12:00pm Ike:

This is a classic brilliant Fabio rant -- "no one's kissing our butts, we just do it because we're obsessive maniacs!" HA!
  12:01pm Spectral Morton Downey, Jr.:

You can't see me, but I can see you! I'm in your rumpus room!
  12:01pm dave:

HELLS yeah! thanks!
  12:02pm qwerty:

thanks for awesome set!
