Listener comments!

  12:20pm Mike East:

All aboard the Duane Train! Tickets are $15 or more!!!
  12:21pm Cecile:

YES. Rocking stuff.
Sounds like Dead Moon/Pierced Arrows...
  12:21pm kata:

yeah! Portland's own Dead Moon ! morning Duane and everyone !
  12:22pm pierre:

Bonjour Duane !
Salutations RobHatchMiller !
Avatar 12:22pm Duane:

Morning all! Pledge to hear lascivious tales from the back corners of my mind! Including my run in with Phil Spector
  12:23pm Caryn:

BTW, damn, Duane! Who knew you were so hot!?!
  12:23pm LAZCAD:

Killer start Duane!!
Avatar 12:23pm Duane:

Stop it Caryn!!!!!!!
  12:25pm Cecile:

*whispers* caryn, I know.
You should also get a gander at DJ Rupture. caryn. Hubba hubba!
  12:26pm Caryn:

@Cecile: is there a pic anywhere? Cause I have Ken's Ustream to thank for my glimpses at Duane...
  12:28pm Mike East:

wasn't DJ Rupture on the cover of Wired or something? - I will try to find that link.
Avatar 12:29pm Duane:

Just dont send me anymore "Tributes"..unless their greenbacks to day *wink wink*
  12:29pm BodegaMan:

(not commenting. letting Caryn and Cecile have their moment)
  12:29pm Cecile:

Mike East, he was. That's where I saw him. And I just saw Duane through "images" on Google.
  12:30pm Hatch:

behave ladies... this is a radio show not a petting zoo
  12:30pm Cecile:

I do that for everyone. I'm an equal opportunity creep.
  12:30pm still b/p:

Ladies be tucking dollar bills in the D-string?
  12:31pm robyn:

we should all call in and tell him how hot he is like they do to frangry on SUW.
  12:32pm rupture/rapture/capture:

  12:33pm Caryn:

Rupture's good, Duane is better. That is all.
  12:34pm Marmalade Kitty:

some awesome tunezzzzzzzzzza!
  12:35pm Ike:

LOL @ Hatch's "not a petting zoo." For the right pledge, maybe it should be! The ladies generally like Hatch too, if I am not mistaken. Har har.
  12:35pm kata:

btw happy february 29th people !
  12:36pm Cecile:

Yes, Ike. LLCoolH
  12:37pm Marmalade Kitty:

I'm sure elton said the same!!! Duane, can you email elton? ;)
  12:38pm Mystified:

Frangry's not that hot.
  12:40pm Cecile:

I'd trade my big Bernese Mountain Dog head for hers.
  12:40pm Keepin Reel:

She's not a dude and she's under 40. That makes her hot.
  12:40pm robyn:

an angry woman who's not your mom does a lot for people.
  12:42pm Sir Mix A Bit:

What's your goal, Duane, and how far along are we to reaching it?
  12:43pm Mystified:

I got over the whole "oh, i got so drunk" bullshit when i was 18.
  12:44pm Caryn:

What with Monica judging Ken's buttocks earlier, this is definitely "objectify the male DJs" day.
  12:45pm Cecile:

She and Andy are funny together. They are like a bickering married couple. They are also unafraid of messing up, which gives them huge points in my book.
  12:45pm Marmalade Kitty:

send elton the wfmu brochure!!? He likes music, yes?
  12:45pm Cecile:

Or Beyonce. I heard she married a wealthy man. :D
  12:45pm Ike:

The appeal of Frangry's semi-abusive *personality* is a mystery to me. I guess her devoted male listeners are masochists. ;) Bronwyn is way cuter in part because she's nicer!

Wait, what's up on the block?
  12:45pm Jan Audun Uretsky:

Good afternoon Duane, finally made home through the rain...
  12:46pm tim from champaign:

I got all teary eyed and almost started blubbering last week when Duane sang the opening lines of the Atlantic Star song to his sister.
  12:46pm robyn:

they would turn this show into a fragrance.
  12:47pm Cecile:

I do love Bronwyn, Ike. I miss not catching part of her show live because it's on when I'm riding the bus home.

Tim, I gotta hear that.
Avatar 12:47pm Duane:

Sir Mix: 5 G's man!
  12:48pm Cecile:

robyn - this show is already a fragrance. It's Charlie and cigar smoke and Jovan Musk with a faint background of poppers.
  12:50pm robyn:

so that's what that smell is...
  12:50pm Marmalade Kitty:

killer fragrance, ugggh!
  12:52pm glenn:

van in d.c. says davy jones has shuffled off.
  12:53pm Caryn:

Kind of difficult to imagine that scent, since I only know what one of those 4 smells like.
  12:56pm Caryn:

Looooving the Della Reese!
  12:57pm Marmalade Kitty:

charlie perfume!
  1:01pm Bobby Short:

Kinda young, kinda now, Charlie,
Kinda free, kinda wow, Charlie!
  1:05pm Cecile:

Come on, son!
  1:06pm robyn:

hahaha this persona...
  1:07pm Ken From Hyde Park:

@glenn - Yes, seems that former Monkees singer/tambourinist Davy Jones died this morning. He complained of chest pains last night. He was age 66. RIP
  1:10pm Cecile:

I am dying here.
  1:10pm robyn:

  1:10pm Caryn:

Tearing up from laughing over here.
  1:12pm glenn:

who wants to be remembered as a tambourinist?
  1:14pm Caryn:

Yeah, I think let's just say singer/actor Davy Jones. RIP
  1:15pm robyn:

allrighty...put me in the running for this one!
  1:15pm Cecile:

Duane, is there Dusty Springfield on that 80s classics comp?
Avatar 1:16pm Duane:

Cecile: No Dusty, but loads of Dusty-Like material
  1:19pm Cecile:

  1:20pm Marmalade Kitty:

thats really sad 66 way too young.. RIP Davy Jones
  1:21pm Caryn:

Duane, is any of the stuff you've played so far going to be on your premium?
Avatar 1:23pm Duane:

Caryn: Yes this reggae version of "lottalove" is
  1:24pm MD:

RIP Davy! That dance number he did with Toni Basel in the movie HEAD is so great....
Way to young...
  1:27pm Caryn:

Cool, Duane!
  1:28pm robyn:

do not google "dreambabes," btw. at least, not if you expect to learn more about the cd.
  1:28pm Charles from Prescott:

this tune in the background is vibes
  1:29pm robyn:

you'll be like the mary stuart masterson of your social group!
  1:31pm Tiresome Pedant:

6 other, not 7 other!
  1:36pm pierre:

Come Back to PARIS — FRANCE !!!
  1:39pm mikebee:

more info on that "lotta love" cover PLEASE!!
  1:41pm Gordon:

The source of the Lotta Love cover is a mystery — but it's available on Duane's premium cd for a pledge of $75 or more.
  1:43pm Caryn:

BTW, anyone know if that Della Reese track is on a specific album? Because I need to get it!
  1:49pm robyn:

white noise...i only know 3 of their songs but they're all awesome.
Avatar 1:49pm Duane:

Caryn: I don't think it's been comped yet. Check Discogs though. I could be wrong
  1:53pm Cecile:

Jackie Shane!
  1:56pm hamburger:

So any sordid stories mentioned so far?? (or is that a pledging privilege?)
  1:57pm seang:

Avatar 1:57pm Duane:

it's a pledging priviledge Hamburger, but we're about ready to share one soon!!
  2:00pm Roberto:

This EB&W is pretty awesome.
  2:04pm kurt:

money money money!
  2:09pm Andrew Waterloo:

RIP Davy Jones: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n86gOQhrGtA&feature=related
  2:09pm Caryn:

BTW; yay for another week with a Jackie Shane number!
  2:11pm Kat in Chicago:

OMG what is this storytelling accent of Duane's?
  2:14pm Cecile:

  2:14pm other david:

this is...
  2:15pm robyn:

  2:15pm Cecile:

60% of the women DON'T.
  2:16pm hamburger:

  2:22pm Alex:

tuned in late. Dead Moon Night!
  2:24pm Cecile:

I remember being at a UB40 club show and one of the guys handing me a beer from the stage. I was going to mouth thank you, but he shook his head and gestured for me to hand it to a nearby, well endowed young lady. I was too dumbstruck or I would have just flipped him the bird and kept the beer.
  2:24pm Listener Bryan:

Good God this Anika is awesome.
  2:25pm Cecile:

it is great, Bryan.
  2:28pm paula pc:

this Das Ding track in particular SO GREAT!!!!!
  2:31pm jorge:

i like this Designer track!
  2:32pm kata:

I love these analogue-electro-boogie surprises !
  2:32pm jorge:

though i think the rapper could use a "Euro Rapper" accent.
  2:33pm pierre:

i'm on fire right now thanks to Duane !!!!

He's showing so much love, that's some will have to
bounce back to him !

  2:34pm pierre:

(where did you find that "dark drive" track ??)
  2:38pm still b/p:

Back from lunch but hungry for stories.
  2:40pm robyn:

i really like little dragon. "shuffle a dream" is great.
  2:44pm fred:

Salut Pierre! And thanks for the beer.
I want to see a dog wagging its tail, preferably soon.
  2:45pm kata:

to quote Prince, "if you're gonna occupy anything, occupy the airwaves!" Keep radio alive -- send Duane your monies !
  2:49pm jorge:

woo hooo! well awright!!
  2:49pm fred:

Occupy the phone volunteers!
  2:53pm Caryn:

Yesterday went to put some stuff up for sale to get money to pledge. Will know by Friday at the earliest if the stuff has sold, but may only find out way later. But if and when I've got the money, I'll be pledging, Duane!
  2:55pm fred:

Caryn, check your email (and maybe your spam folder)
  2:58pm kata:

oh man, this Kouroush is awesome !
  3:00pm seang:

  3:00pm Caryn:

  3:01pm pierre:

  3:02pm Brass Knuckles:
