Take your time Benjamin, great set.
  10:01am

Come on Benjamin - you must be thirsty. I only tuned in to hear fucking Freebird.
Avatar 10:04am

  10:06am

Benjamin, I awoke to your first song. And it was beautiful. Still jamming along. incredible set.

ken you can kiss my ass
  10:08am

You dont HAVE to play Freebird. You could play Green Grass and High Tides by The Outlaws. Use your freaking imagination, BW!
  10:09am
Ken:

Or the live version of "Can't You See," by The Marshall Tucker Band.
  10:12am
Andrew:

This song seems to be going on for a while. Something is clearly afoot.
  10:15am
Ken:

OK, you win. Your Decaf is on its way.

Hey everybody, WFMU has been included in a "best non-commercial station in the world" contest - got to soundtap.com/madness , create an account and listen everyday. Help us kick some NPR Ass!!
  10:23am
Andrew Waterloo:

Good morning, good show Ben
  10:26am
Mike East:

Something I was thinking about yesterday - NPR stations are far from NON Commercial. I hear ads all the time on there. Of course, I'm not quite sure how to patronize the James T. and Katherine P. McArthur Foundation. The point is, WFMU is the ONLY real NON Commercial station that I know of.
  10:30am
Mike East:

...but atleast I know where to get the best cancer care anywhere.
  10:34am
Marmalade kitty:

wfmu is too preoccupied with music and it's own brand. Very selfish
  10:36am
glenn:

hey mike, what's for lunch today?
  10:38am
glenn:

p.s. no ads on b.b.c. or c.b.c.
  10:38am
BenG:

It'll be great for WFMU to get more attention/listeners/money...invite all the freaks whose minds and hearts are wide open to all manner of musical expression. But face it, to win a popularity contest, WFMU has to morph into something else. Clear Channel anyone?
  10:38am
Mike East:

roast beef sandwich. Thanks for asking. Just finished breakfast, though. I'll let you know if the sandwich gives me any backtalk.
  10:39am
hamburger:

yo Mike - got mustard with that roast beef?
  10:41am
Mike East:

you know, hamburger - just mayo - I usually put horseradish on it, but when I looked in the fridge this morning, to my dismay, we were out. I thought about mustard, but it just ain't the same for me.
  10:41am
Mike East's Lunch:

Back talk? I see. I can't even complain about the way I'm treated.
  10:41am
Andrew Waterloo:

The first thing I noticed when I started browsing around the contest site was that shows were categorized by genre. Something that only a few shows on WFMU actually fit into. The one that due seem to fall in the "other" category.
  10:42am
Krypt:

No contest WFMU is the best, I'm a brit and the BBC is so square by comparison.
  10:43am
Eric:

music needs to be organized by genre because if you listen to the wrong one then the cool kids will make fun of you

Bonjour Benjamin
Bonjour Radio
  10:57am
Eric:

But seriously that's why I can't stand satellite radio every station is so genre specific.
  11:01am
Jennique:

I just read the graphic novel Habibi by Craig Thompson and I swear I can hear this guy singing that.
  11:04am
kat330:

@sub BW: Here's my testimonial to this morning's playlist so far (at least I was tuned in for a good deal of it): It has been lovely to transplant tomato seedlings to. I thank you and they thank you!
  11:07am
Nathan:

@Krypt People bang on about Radio 6 but even that repeats itself and becomes samey after about a week of listening. Everyone seems to love Jarvis's show, but I find he chat's too much.
  11:10am
βrian:

Salutations de Madison. Vive le rappel !
  11:12am
Andrew:

I'm a complete Jarvis Sunday Service fan. That recent one he did with Leonard Cohen was fantastic. An Tom Ravenscroft sounds so much like his father - its uncanny.

  11:17am
Krypt:

Come to Glasgow B.W. :)
  11:19am

@BW Can't think of any decent comic book stores nor have I spied one. Think that Bulgakov play is sold out. Pubs on the other hand... well that's something of a speciality. Where are you staying while you're here?
  11:20am

I think the Guardian's space is near King's Cross....walk to both the British Library and the Welcome Collection. Both awesome.
