Listener comments!

  8:03pm G:

A rare live comments show!
  8:04pm G:

I believe I took this show's premium as one of my marathon selections this year.
  8:04pm kevinC:

it doesnt sound much different from the current iteration of this show.
Thanks for coming out!
  8:08pm Marmalade kitty:

hypnotic qualities! "It's a long way to tipperary....!.....
  8:09pm shtus:

brilliant
  8:14pm Marmalade kitty:

...goodbye piccadilly, farewell london town... It's a long, long....
  8:15pm G:

Don't sweat us chatters. The show's the thing. Keep that spit-and-baling-wire system going, and don't let your finger slip out of that crack in the dike!
  8:28pm Ukulele Jim:

Nice show!
  8:45pm Phil:

Thanks for this one. My family used to sing this song in the wood-panel station wagon in the late '60s. Holy crap. -Phil
  8:45pm kevinC:

that was awesome!
  8:46pm Marmalade kitty:

89 years ago...! the green grass grew all around, all around :D
  8:47pm G:

:Phil: Some time perspective -- In the late 60s, let's say 1967, this 1923 disk was about as old as Sgt. Pepper (1967) is here in 2012 (44-45 years old).
  8:55pm Marmalade kitty:

It's not the music getting old, It's us!! :)
Avatar 8:57pm MAC:

Thanks everyone for listening!!!
  8:59pm G:

That's about it, MK. :-) Because we can remember some music as new, it seems more recent or current than it really is by the "numbers" :-) And music we can't personally remember being new seems further away to us than it really is...
  9:00pm Marmalade kitty:

thanks, Mac !!!
  11:47am DHD:

Wonderful show, as always, MAC. This version of "Sempre Libera" gave me the chills (in the best of ways)!
4:05pm Uncle Jeff from (Old) England:

Keep it up. Love the Galli Curci. Beautiful.
(FYI Pronounced Gally-Kurchy) :)
3:03pm Fanny Brice is a jewish indian:

I cant understand what Fanny Brice is saying.... but that's one of her populer tunes.... i like her re-make in 1928.
