Listener comments!

  1:07pm Elias:

I am not of Earth. Yet I shall pay attention anyway.
  1:22pm listener Jumpy in Brooklyn:

Sounds like Charles Brown! Cool.
  1:31pm Punkanilla Wafer:

Hope we gonna find out why in hell K-Doe wanted to be called...Naugahyde !
  1:39pm tony in durham nc:

Love. This. Show. My lovely wife captured K-Doe's radio show when she lived in N.O. in the 80's...I saw K-Doe in a rare NC appearance at Sleazefest 2000 in Chapel Hill with SCOTS and Quintron...sigh. Ernie said NO CAMERAS and like idiots, we listened...
  1:40pm Jim B:

I saw on nola.com that the Mother-In-Law Lounge was open for Mardi Gras. Rex, could you ask at some point, or does anybody know, the status of that institution?
  1:58pm ::JT::

Great stories, love this stuff, excellent interview Rex!
  2:06pm tony in durham nc:

Thanks for clearing up the mystery of the decline of the N.O. music scene at a point in time when it should have been skyrocketing, c.1963. I am so not getting anything done today -- thanks!
  2:14pm Richard D:

K-Doe claims to be a radio station!!!! Loving the Ernie K records.
  2:17pm tony in durham nc:

"...you need a good HEN..." per Ernie
  2:22pm ChooChoo - ATL:

K-Doe's account of Humpty Dumpty: Probably closer to the truth than you imagine.
  2:39pm ScottC:

I just took a look at the lounge using Google Earth and it's looking good.
Managahide!
  9:55am Richard D:

Great Show Rex! And clsoing over the top. Waiting at the Station is likely K-Doe's greatest recording ever!
