  12:05pm Cheri Pi:

Yup!
  12:06pm Woo:

Good day!
  12:06pm SmokinJ:

Yes sir!
  12:08pm geokopp:

what's up, Mr Rockhead?!
  12:09pm allan:

whoa i haven't heard the time flys in a minute. teenage tears is like the best song
  12:11pm Mike East:

I ended up going to Generation TWICE on Saturday and both times missed the Three Chord Monte! Atleast I get to listen to Joe B. spin records for 3 hours every week.
  12:13pm allan:

*their cover
  12:15pm PFFlyer:

My penance 4 not paying my 2012 new pledge....I missed the Boss Mustangs. Left message 4 Joe Mc G to call me so I can donate to the most worthy of causes; Three Chord Monte!
  12:18pm SHIMMY:

Finally saw Liquor Store with the lineup of the album on Saturday. WOW. Huge change from 2009 but this is an amazingly tight live band. I think "Gas Station" was probably the high point.
Avatar 12:22pm Joe B:

Hi everyone! thanks for tuning in! appreciate it! TWO great live bands today 1 pm - Los Vigilantes from Samn Juan! then at 2 pm - Paint Fumes from North Carolina!
Avatar 12:23pm Joe B:

Hi Cheri, Woo, J, GK! Hi allan! Mike, I was there, did three sets actually since somebosy diodn't show up. I was there from about 1 until 4. sorry i missed you.
  12:24pm KevinWho:

@SHIMMY: I really like Liquor Store too. they're (probably) not going to win any songwriting awards or poetry ribbons, but they do bring the rock, copiously
  12:25pm PFFlyer:

me too...wastin' time is my specialty...
  12:26pm steve:

Paint Fumes, that is a seriously great band name
  12:26pm SHIMMY:

@kevinwho they started out with like 6 guitar players back in 2008. incredibly fun but a bit over the top. this new lineup is pretty damn pro... great to see them with good sound at union pool as well.
  12:31pm PFFlyer:

Joe, R U implying that you have to step outside to a porta-pot to use a facility? Times is rough, ain't they.
  12:31pm kat330:

Hi, Joe! Looking forward to your guests and loving the set so far. Haven't been here much since I got an Internet Radio box for my b'day. Allows me freedom now to do indoor and outdoor projects, and no excuses getting work done. Not much commenting of late -- I'm here though! :)
  12:32pm Mike East:

Believe me, Joe B., its my loss. Though I did pick up some cool records, so it wasn't a complete waste.
  12:35pm John L:

Hi Joe!!! I still do have some RSD stuff, including the Neandrathals. I am out of the Phish (my most requested item.)
Avatar 12:35pm Joe B:

Hey Shimmy! glad to hear those cats are bringing it live! Hi kevin! PFF! steve and kat, hello as well! thanks all for checking in!
  12:35pm geokopp:

Hey Kat! thx for the e-mail re: Levon pix.
Avatar 12:36pm Joe B:

Hi John! hope you made out well on RSD! enjoying the stuff I got so far!

also, anyone who is interested, sundazed put what remains of their RSD stuff online Monday
  12:36pm kat330:

Like I said, it's been nice to gaze on during any tributes I catch, so thank you! Off the keyboard now, busy busy!
  12:37pm efd:

Hi Joe! Couldn't give your mic break my undivided attention, but were you talking about not being able to access your network DJ locker?

John L, any extras of the Trouble In Mind 7" by any chance?
Avatar 12:39pm Joe B:

efd, no, my locker in the kitchen. not only music but info and setlists about today's two bands. pretty much fucked up the whole show. no warning. plus york street was closed!
Avatar 12:40pm Joe B:

efd, I heard that was only a regional release. i have been hunting also. did you try Goner? they had it last year the week after.
  12:43pm John L:

No luck on the Trouble In Mind. That was one of the three things I wanted for myself. There was a double Toy Love live Lp, which I didn't get, and the Buck Owens coloring book, which I did.
  12:43pm paula pc:

this set is FANTASTIC...thank you Joe...
  12:44pm efd:

Yeah, I'd emailed Vintage Vinyl ahead of time about the TiM single and they also said it was a regional release. Checked Goner and Permanent Records in Chicago's sites, no dice. Some $20 copies on eBay, but that's a little rich for my blood.

That's messed up about the kitchen! I have no sneaky workaround for that, unfortunately.
  12:45pm tim from Champaign:

Looks like Permanent Records Chicago/LA still has regional RSD releases for mailorder including the Trouble In Mind.
Avatar 12:47pm Joe B:

@ tim, they dont have it. listed but they dont have it. thanks though!

@ efd, guess it is better than having z drive locker out, at least i can air the bands!
  12:48pm tim from Champaign:

D'oh sorry about the bum advice efd. I work part time at the local rekkid store. I agree with Joe that the goodwill and goodtimes were the most pleasurable aspect of RSD. I only picked up the Pussy Galore 7", Dukowski/Mike Watt 7" abd the 3 Lobed guitar comp.
Avatar 12:48pm Joe B:

hi paula! hi tim!
Avatar 12:48pm Joe B:

done whining ... for now!
  12:49pm efd:

Thanks tim and John L. There were reportedly a few copies on Permanent Records' web site yesterday, but unfortunately they were gone by the time I looked.
  1:00pm John L:

RSD was great for us. Oddly, the Phish fans were the most agitated. I thought they were supposed to be mellow, dude.
  1:09pm Woo:

Little Walter cover?
  1:12pm PFFlyer:

loved the blend/bridge between "Pegame" & "A Ella" & "NO!" KEEP IT UP, VIGILANTES!
  1:15pm SHIMMY:

What a band. Can't wait to get them back in a couple of months.
Avatar 1:16pm Joe B:

wish I could have been able to talk the higher-ups into having these maniacs at the record fair last year
  1:16pm kate:

que mal! total jam
  1:19pm SHIMMY:

there's always this year? they're due back in the Fall I believe.
Avatar 1:22pm Joe B:

keep me posted shimmy! I would love to do a live remote broadcast with them. People must go see these guys!
  1:23pm sweir:

Los Vigilantes rocks!
  1:26pm Woo:

These youngsters really keep your foot tapping.
  1:26pm SHIMMY:

man this session is super hot. definitely a couple of numbers that should find a release some day.
  1:27pm PFFlyer:

G'dang DANG! Dem der Viginlates BLOW DOWN THE BARN! Thanx Viggies, for the performance from oh so far away!
Avatar 1:27pm Joe B:

Mike Sin doing an awesome job as always!
  1:58pm Dan Elektro:

CHROME CRANKS blasting outta the bike shop!
Go Joe Go! See you in September....
  1:58pm Carmichael:

Hiya Joe. Just arrived from reality to the InterTubes. Good lookin' setlist!
Avatar 2:03pm Joe B:

hey Dan! can't wait to see you guys. sounds liek a song ... see you in september ...

Hi Carmichael! I recommend checking out Los Vigilantes' set!
  2:13pm Carmichael:

Thanks Joe. I'll be all over the archives. Paint Fumes are really drivin' it home!
  2:19pm Bad Ronald:

Late to the party and getting high off the fumes! Will def check out the Vigilantes on the archives. Thanks for bringing it live Joe!
  2:21pm PFFlyer:

weird but true...sometime the music and the money just don't get together for what ever reason. I tried very hard. Good luck and thanx! I appreciate the hard work all WFMU has done and thanks for the Los V live set! Carry on...
Avatar 2:23pm Joe B:

Hey BR!
  2:32pm SHIMMY:

a bleepin' good time!
  2:36pm PFFlyer:

YEAH! I'm paid up! Thanx Joe for the info! Signing out for the summer, PFF
Avatar 2:37pm Joe B:

thanks PFF!
  2:45pm tim from Champaign:

Thanks for the great show, Joe. Rock'n'roll is good for the soul. Champaign, IL (home of the Vertebrats and Didjits) is a nice place to live but a little light in the rock these days so your show is a weekly bump.
Avatar 2:48pm Joe B:

thanks Tim! Isn't Velvet crush from there too? I love that Vertabrats comp that came out a few years back!
  2:48pm John L:

Feelies at The Club Helsinki in Saturday. I'll be there.
  2:49pm David Shortell:

Speaking of HR, I hear he's playing this Sunday at the Man Cave in Bordentown. That's the new store Randy Now opened up after leaving the Record Collector.
  2:50pm tim from Champaign:

Yeah man Velvet Crush too. The guys that run Parasol the Vertebrats and Velvet Crush label are good folks. They like beer and bbq!
  2:54pm Bad Ronald:

oh snap, this Basher tune has been bouncing around my head since Michael's interview. You rock Joe!
  2:56pm geokopp:

how about that dynamite Nick Lowe interview from Mike Shelley last saturday?!
  2:57pm Mike East:

I love this Nick Lowe tune. Jonesy turned me onto it. He seems to love it, too.
  6:32pm Dawn Cornwell:

Paint Fumes rockin' it like rock stars!! Fantastic live show...nuff said.
  6:43pm Dawn Cornwell:

Glad I stumbled upon this program.....great playlists...definitely bookmarked.
  6:47pm Joe B:

thanks Dawn!
