This actually WAS commissioned as a US Navy recruiting song/video. They payed for the promo video and had jet fly-bys--then recoiled when they realized what they funded! But I wish the Navy had kept this as their recruiting song...

Good evening.morning all. Sorry I'm late. My driver's license fell out of my pocket while I was out walking. I've spent the past hour canvassing the area looking for it (which I succeeded in doing).

Lost license? No problem, we're incredibly helpful.
  1:04am
BadGuyZero (Dallas, TX):

Yes, especially since Texas still mails renewed/replacement licenses. I'm flying to NYC in a couple of weeks. I have no idea what sort of an assache would await me at security without a proper photo ID.

Good Camel song here! Arista, 1978...yeah if you listen to this music production I can totally see that! (Produced by Mick Glossop though, not Alan Parsons)

  1:11am

Actually I only know about Camel from Dark Night, I happened to look up the producer since you typed it was Arista 1978. Mr. Parsons was huge on that label at that time.

tell me do you think i AM overstaying my welcome julie?
  1:31am
BadGuyZero (Dallas, TX):

I miss how old songs separated the instruments between left and right channels like this one does.
  1:39am
Matt from Springfield:

@BGZ: I hear ya! In fact, I love the differences and stereo "tricks" you can find on older, unremastered recordings. The L and R are totally different entities, and it's fun to hear how they combine into one sound.

(In fact, my "stereo check" track is the unremastered "While My Guitar Gently Weeps"--I know exactly how that should sound in each channel, and calibrate stereos accordingly. Platinum standard.)

Grooving to "The Motivator"!

@Julie: What was the commercial you saw with "20th Century Boy" in it recently? I actually first learned that from a commercial, but over 10 years ago (Mitsubishi or some SUV ad), and I guessed correctly it was the "Get It On, Bang A Gong" guy--and a new world of Marc Bolan opened up!
