Hi Duke, Van, Sean and everybody!
Sean, can you believe that Peter & I were out Friday night and had just missed the Mets game?? A friend called all excited about Santana's no-hitter. That's how we found out. We at least went last night and saw John Franco's Mets Hall of Fame induction.
Sorry to go off on a baseball tangent! Back to the beautiful music....
  12:20pm
Sean in Bristol, UK:

Irene, I was in the land of nod, thank goodness for Archive!
  12:20pm
pierre:

Bonsoir Irene !
  12:20pm
Dead Corporate Eyes:

I bet it was paula pc's "three for three" comment that sent you in the baseball direction, Irene.
  12:30pm
Van in DC:

Very nice and relaxing opening set, thanks for that :)
  12:33pm
Looms:

Hello Irene and everyone.
Busy watching Roland Garros tournament but my ears are open wide.
  12:40pm
Van in DC:

This sounds like an Italian vinyl pressing ;) (love the pops)

No Van, this is just my well-worn copy of the American PFM release. ELP once tried to run a label called Manticore and they were on it. Naturally I picked it up because I was a fan of ELP and figured this had their stamp of approval. I should really find a CD copy one of these days. It's a really nice alum.
  12:52pm
don:

Isn't Clare's new one beautiful? They are @ LPR in July...
  12:54pm
Lulu:

Nice show today - melds perfectly w this weather.
  12:55pm
M00D:

Much greetings from Berlin, Germany. You're welcome!
  1:01pm
don:

You may have heard about Gary's accident in South Africa-fell and broke his skull in his hotel room, Don
PS- Procol are still active! Big tour scheduled, hope it happens...
  1:03pm
Davice:

Hi Irene
  1:04pm
crazy_yeti:

Scratchy is beautiful!
  1:05pm
Bill:

They never really broke up for good, i think. The one time I saw them was at the Bottom Line shortly before it closed (my last visit). Matthew Fisher was back for that one so it was kind of special.
  1:07pm
don:

Procol scheduled to open for Yes on big USA tour, starting in July-check procolharum.com. Saw them in Tarrytown 2 years ago- Brooker's voice still in fine form. Bill's right-but no more Fisher (lawsuit vs. Gary ended that)-
  1:11pm
Droll:

PFM, Procol & Genesis (with ELP talk on the comments)?! Isn't this the point where the Prog Police show up? I'm already on my soapbox, ready to defend to the end...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:13pm
Irene:

Prog police be damned! Sometime I do love to hear this stuff.
  1:14pm
Prog Police:

it's "Moonlit Knight!"
  1:16pm
Droll:

PP, Not the response I expected -- Well done! Carry on!
  1:20pm
KevinfromBayRidge:

Hey Irene & All,
Friday was weird. The NO NO-Hitter thing was kinda of an ironic , but honorable distinction (considering how historically pitching-rich the Mets were over 50 years. ) that is now gone.
Your show is phenonemal today, young lady!
FYI, Procol did a great live radio show on WPLJ after the "Broken Barricades" release. Maybe that's what you were thinking of.
  1:22pm
Keith from VT:

I know it's been fashionable to trash prog rock for years now, these last tacks prove that a lot of this was very, very good... nice to hear these tracks again.
  1:25pm
KevinfromBayRidge:

Wow! Early Tull. You're reallly looking to take on the "PP"! There might be a lot of this genre played on slow speeds later today.
  1:27pm
leslie:

hi irene,
liked the tull! who did you a play a short while ago that sounded a bit like kate bush?
  1:29pm
Looms:

Love this Wood Wind Tide.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:36pm
Irene:

Leslie, I think that was Clare and The Reasons. They seem to be channeling Kate throughout their new album, KR-51.
  1:44pm
Keith from VT:

Fun Ian Anderson factoid... apparently worth a quarter billion thanks in part to extensive fish-farming holdings in Scotland. Now that's progressive...
  1:45pm
Van in DC:

looks like 1971
  2:00pm
duke:

how did you know i was in the mood for Monk?
  2:19pm
Pete:

Hey Irene,
I can't hear the show right now, but it sure LOOKS great! I look forward to catching the archive later!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:20pm
Irene:

Glad you like how it looks, Pete! I guarantee you'll like it.
  2:34pm
Van in DC:

And speaking of the Drummer, boy would he love that album title by Lee Feldman. I'm guessing. :)
  2:48pm
Davice:

Arthur who?
  2:58pm
Van in DC:

Wonderful show Irene! Many thanks!
