If Brian's in Scotland I'll have to keep an eye out for him. A lost looking man with a dog.

(Its great talking about people when they're not around isn't it).
  3:33am
Steve:

Betcha he has the FMU app

I heard some time ago a wild psych-rock cover of Khachaturian's Sabre Dance, sounded like it had been recorded in the late 60s. Can't remember who did it. Does it ring any bell to you guys?

Avatar 4:34am

All I knew about Jacques Brel for years was that Alex Harvey covered this song. You can't go a day here at FMU without hearing Brel on a program

I think I can live with that, Bill, ha ha!

Steve:

"I'll tell you a story about John," she told the audience. "He often used to wake up in the middle of the night and ask me, 'Why do people cover Paul's songs so much, but never mine?'

"I used to tell him, 'It's because you are a talented songwriter. You don't just rhyme June with spoon. And you are a very good singer - lots of people would be too afraid to cover one of your songs.'

- Yoko Ono
  5:55am
fred von helsing:

"Charnière de la Porte" totally works as a band name. Some sort of yé-yé revival band? Signature black and white striped leggings? Clothilde 4EVA

Brian in UK:

Hello Bill. Went to a wedding yesterday. Driving up to Scotland next Sat & driving back the following.
Loved the Love Sculpture, I remember when they did sessions on John Peel's show circa 68/69. He loved it so much he played the toon again later in the show. Freeform. You've really hit the information button, Loving the show archivally!!
PS the bride's parents are Scottish/Iranian, there were some great beats in the disco including belly dancers.
