Listener comments!

  3:02pm
Dead Corporate Eyes:

Tamar, long time no hear!
  3:04pm
BSI:

...and along came Ra!
  3:06pm
Carmichael:

Well well, hello Tamar, nice surprise. Damn, I have a meeting this afternoon too .....
  3:10pm
dc pat:

DCE: you've been going as "DCE" lately haven't you? Or is that some other dude I've been telling all my secrets to?
  3:13pm
Carmichael:

Someone on Bryce's board likes to screw with DCE. Looks like at other times he's actually him.
  3:13pm
Dead Corporate Eyes:

DCE is me...steve from cleve is me...i'm trying to shake this guy who keeps posting as me. Maybe you've noticed his work. Telling Bryce he's a "fekking twat" and such.
  3:14pm
Dead Corporate Eyes:

mostly I try to ignore him because when I say something it only makes it worse.
  3:14pm
BSI:

Once you get a trolling doppelganger on the FMU board, you KNOW you've made it in this world.
  3:15pm
Carmichael:

Tamar, that animated gif looks like a Kool-aid commercial.
  3:16pm
Van in DC:

The gif-that-almost-got-posted there... what is that, a pop tart or something?
  3:16pm
Mike East:

@DCE - There's a part of me that thinks its actually bryce doing it. He seems like a mischievous sort.
  3:16pm
Ike:

Well shit, I had a trolling doppelgänger WAY before any of you did! Pshaw.

(Assuming "a couple of years ago" is before any of you.)
  3:19pm
BSI:

Ah, the first trolling doppelganger: It's a coming-of-age miracle from god. Afterwards, all the carefree dreams of childhood die, and we go to work in a factory somewhere.
  3:19pm
northguineahills:

I've had a couple doppelgangers, but they're usually 'puns' (I use that term loosely) of my name. I've asked my friends that have called me the same names before, but no one confessed.
  Swag For Life Member 3:19pm
Tamar:

Geez, gotta figure out gif. Multitasking!
  3:20pm
dc pat:

I get it--I was wondering why you called bryce a twat...
  3:21pm
Carmichael:

I was thinking it might actually be Bryce. Ike, you'd have to go back about 10-11 years to be before me.
  3:24pm
Van in DC:

Tamar, you don't have to figure the gif out. It can be left as a mystery :)
  3:24pm
still b/p:

Both shots from the glass pitcher look like they're going OUT of the pitcher, but one pour raises the liquid level in the glass and one lowers it. And the liquid in the glass looks darker than the OJ or whatever's being poured. Whatzat from, Andalusian Donuts?
  3:24pm
BSI:

one of my favorite Nordine bits. Cheers Tamar...
But Flibberty Jib is the best of all...
  3:26pm
northguineahills:

or you can copy/pasta the gif in a browser to see it yourself.
  3:27pm
Carmichael:

Gotta run. Have a good weekend everyone, and blow some stuff up on Wednesday!
  3:27pm
Ike:

Wouldn't Bryce be more clever at insulting himself?
  3:28pm
bryce:

it ain't me! i did chuckle at the confusion the first week, but then it neglected to go away. :(

hi tamar!
  3:28pm
BSI:

.....and wasn't Giraffe just Bryce in long-neck drag? It's a theory.
  3:30pm
Van in DC:

I like this
  3:31pm
Cheri Pi:

well I was flamed yesterday! Now to just get a doppelganger and I'll almost have all the pieces of the puzzle. There has 2 be a 3rd piece of harassment to win the prize though.
  3:33pm
Detroit Mac:

This sounds like the theme song from Mr. Hulot's Holiday?
  3:34pm
Cheri Pi:

DCE- iss this asstroll British?
  3:35pm
Van in DC:

AGGHH! :)
  3:35pm
northguineahills:

Daggnabbit, the gf took the tomatoes to work. Now I'm going to have tomatoeless tacos :(.

What's the deal w/ "hard shell" tacos? Those aren't tacos, that's just taco bell invention. (or at least an American invention).
  3:36pm
BSI:

Send that Coffee Cart down here goddammit! These generic sneeze-pills are putting me to sleep...
  3:36pm
paula pc:

I'm feeling this gif with this Weather Company tune
  3:37pm
common:

that coffee break song was one of the best things ever.
  3:37pm
dc pat:

oops...I just had hard shell tacos. Haven't had 'em since I was a kid, kind of eating down memory lane...
  3:37pm
Van in DC:

The coffee IV's in the GTDS Studio P might still be hanging around...
  3:38pm
Cheri Pi:

No baby-that's Ortega, the wonderful stuff of childhood taco nights with that red "taco sauce". I'll buy that stuff when I'm feeling nostalgic.
  3:38pm
Mike East:

@ngh - at the East home, we've been having "American Taco Night" - ground beef w/ taco seasoning mix, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, cheddar cheese, and sour cream. Reminds me of when I was a kid. My 7 year old loves them, too, which is why we do it. Not authentic, by any stretch, but a nice treat for a Wednesday night.
  3:39pm
dc pat:

oh yeah, Cheri--got some of that recently. it was goooooood
  3:39pm
Van in DC:

Chee-ah-SOHN I think. Have a friend with that last name.
  3:39pm
Mike East:

...glad I'm not alone. :)
  3:39pm
Cheri Pi:

damn that's exactly what I want for dinner (w/ TVP instead of beef)
  3:40pm
dc pat:

yep, same deal around here Mike East, 'cept w/ fake meat.
  3:40pm
dc pat:

yep tvp
  3:40pm
Mike East:

Ortega taco kit was on sale 2 for 1 at the stop & shop...I swear, I used to be cool.
  3:40pm
Cheri Pi:

DCP, sometimes we're the same person. Will you be my doppelganger?
  3:41pm
Dead Corporate Eyes:

is the asstroll British? hmm...good theory.
  3:42pm
BSI:

There's this thing walking circles around the edge of the monitor. Looks like an electric fluorescent red aphid. .. *brr* ... no more generic sneeze pills...
  3:42pm
northguineahills:

My gf is a veggie Mexi, which means I have to go off on my own to get "authentic" Mexican cuisine when we go to Mexico.

It's interesting, b/c outside Monterrey & Mexico City, Vegetarian restaurants just don't exist.
  3:42pm
Cheri Pi:

BSI- you've turned your back on Comtrex???
  3:47pm
Cheri Pi:

I finally got my a/c installed last night, just in time for 100+ temps & dog sitting. I'm spending the whole weekend in bed with dogs and 'FMU.
  3:47pm
Van in DC:

Gotta run or I'll be late sneaking out early from work. Thanks Tamar, enjoyed it!
  3:47pm
BSI:

HAH! @CP, I turned my back on Comtrex at about age 12. That stuff was utter nastiness. Hence, the live tune was an homage to being blitzed on pseudoephedrines while trying to function, etc. ... and I've decided the aphid is real.
  3:48pm
Dead Corporate Eyes:

...and tacos, right...
  3:50pm
BSI:

Speaking of dogs, mine is probably thinking he's gonna get a long-ass walk when I get back. I may have to disappoint his fool head, alas.
  3:51pm
dcheri patpi:

I would be honored to insult other people in your name...
  3:51pm
Cheri Pi:

There will be tacos. hahahhahaha DCPi!
  3:54pm
Cheri Pi:

A friend of mine took Comtrex and tequila before a show, as the singer he soon vomited on the stage (the band played on) ran off, came back and dove into the puke pile to redeem himself; so I don't doubt what your saying is true.
  3:55pm
Cheri Pi:

He also took LSD...what a cocktail.
  3:55pm
dcheri patpi:

wow, the singer in my last group did something similar--she didn't puke but was freaking out on stage, which worked well. (no LSD just booze and cold medicine of some sort)
  3:56pm
northguineahills:

I over-cooked my tortilla a bit, so, I guess I'm going to have a semi-hard taco.
  3:56pm
Dead Corporate Eyes:

sounds like a rough night.
  3:56pm
Dead Corporate Eyes:

for all y'alls
  3:56pm
BSI:

hell's donkeys, that does sound like a recipe for something leaving the body that probably should not.
  3:57pm
dcheri patpi:

hahaha ngh, you've been pulled down to our level.
  3:57pm
Cheri Pi:

That's a tostada! according to Taco Bell.
  3:58pm
dcheri patpi:

..come to think of it, I have no evidence that she DIDN'T ingest LSD as well...or weed or...
  3:58pm
dcheri patpi:

made for a great show for everyone but her
  3:58pm
Cheri Pat:

It's doppelganger day.
  3:59pm
BSI:

Thanks for the Kishore tune. Now I need to do a bolly tonight. The missus is out of town, so it's all fair game...
  3:59pm
Cheri Pat:

Oh my friend was on much more than what I listed, his base level was always weed and so on...
  4:01pm
northguineahills:

Now my taco is uber-authentic since I put sun-dried tomatoes in it.
  4:02pm
dc pi:

that's what singers are suppose to do, right?
  4:03pm
Mike East:

as long as its delicious, that's all that matters, northguineahills...and it sounds like it is.
  4:04pm
Aloha from Pearl Harbor:

well, thanks for coming back so soon.
We missed you....
  4:05pm
northguineahills:

..and I added jalapeno steak sauce....
  4:05pm
Cheri Pat:

It really is their birthright. That and journaling.
  4:05pm
Aloha from Pearl Harbor:

....sounds like "the SWAG hits the fan!"
  4:05pm
northguineahills:

...and jalisico style romano queso..

  4:10pm
Dead Corporate Eyes:

all I have is salsa verde Doritos
  4:10pm
dc pi:

in approximately thirty minutes I'm going to rip out the old upstairs toilet and put a new one in. Never did it before but I have some good beer so everything should be ok.
  4:10pm
Dead Corporate Eyes:

and they're stale
  4:11pm
Dead Corporate Eyes:

toilets are usually not that hard to replace. I've done it a couple times myself and I'm no handyman by any stretch.
  4:11pm
BSI:

Good beer makes good plumbing.
One way or the other.
  4:12pm
Dead Corporate Eyes:

that's if your shutoff valve works properly
  4:14pm
Dead Corporate Eyes:

MY GIF IS FROZEN
  4:14pm
dc pi:

DCE: exactly, I'm a little worried about that but I think it's working ok. I think I better drink a beer before I start to calm my nerves.
  4:15pm
Dead Corporate Eyes:

oh, there she goes...keep pouring that juice, sweetie. And stare that hideous stare.
  4:15pm
dc pi:

BY the way, great tunes today Tamar, thanks.
  4:16pm
northguineahills:

...and if one beer doesn't work, drink a second....
  4:20pm
Cheri Pat:

I second that emotion, NGH
  4:20pm
northguineahills:

This was my introduction to deerhoof...(randomly picked up the 7" eons ago....)
  4:21pm
dc pi:

Deviant Dale's IPA, pounders! ah Deerhoof--great live group if you haven't seen 'em.
  4:23pm
dc pi:

ok, diving in to the uh...I mean, going to replace the toilet now. See you folks later. Cheri don't say anything too insulting while borrowing my name..
  4:23pm
Cheri Pat:

this song is blowing me away Tamar!
  4:24pm
dc pi:

oh wait, duh. I'll just take the laptop with me....won't be able to comment with poopy hands though...later.
  4:24pm
Cheri Pat:

I'll try to behave! Good luck w/ the terlet.
  4:25pm
BSI:

Hilarious. So there's a third-party claim of sampled music on a youtube video of my dog panting in the summer heat. It's an "art film" since it's just the dog breathing, slowed-down. And yet I've managed to rip off some "deep house" producer I've never heard of. Technology is awesome.
  4:27pm
BSI:

had to share. carry on. Tacos.
  4:28pm
Cheri Pat:

post that video again BSI, let's get 1000s of people to view it. Or at least tens...
  4:30pm
dc pi:

yeah, I wanna see some illegal dog panting!!

First problem encountered: where to put the laptop in the bathroom so I can continue to listen to Tamar?
  4:31pm
Brett:

I love Delta 5 and the Indian-sounding music!!
  4:31pm
still b/p:

Is there any audible music in it at all, or is the claim just the ol' scameroo? Is there a panting aphid video? Aphid Lee Roth?
  4:33pm
BSI:

No music whatsoever, that's the point of the video. Dog panting in slow motion with red tint, like a David Lynch ripoff. Well now i'm curious, if there's some secret YouTube algorithm that finds "stuff" and issues insane claims of copyright infringement. Either that or it's the work of a music producer who's trying any stunt to get folks to search for their material...?
  4:34pm
dc pi:

Delta 5....poopy hands!
  4:39pm
Dead Corporate Eyes:

wear gloves, man, wear gloves...and get a scraper.
  4:43pm
Dead Corporate Eyes:

I sure hope somebody warned you about the WAX RING
  4:43pm
BSI:

dug deeper and found another disputed video. This is truly a world gone mad. Now I want a taco. And a tequila.
  4:44pm
Dead Corporate Eyes:

fuck 'em, BSI. you go ahead and tag their shit right back!
  4:45pm
still b/p:

These complainants just comment on the video on YouTube to notify you?
  4:47pm
BSI:

sb/p: neh, not comments, more like an official "copyright notice" within the admin system. First time I've seen this phenomenon, just wondering if it's a new fad in copyright paranoia.
  4:47pm
DJKG:

just glanced the playlist. killer! gonna have to go back and listen for real when i have something more then my phone and shoddy wi-fi. thanks tamar!
  4:49pm
northguineahills:

Damnit, ran out of tequila yesterday. All I have left is whiskey & beer. (or, I could just go to the liquor store 1 block away.....)
  4:49pm
Cheri Pat:

Good night my board! Tamer thank your for the impressive program. Tacos, beer and clean hands for all!
  4:50pm
Dead Corporate Eyes:

night, CP, have fun!
  4:51pm
Cheri Pat:

Night DCE, *Tamar** :)
  4:52pm
dc pi:

adios CP. Yeah I know about the wax ring. Tank gone, working on bowl now. Hands not poopy.
  4:55pm
Dead Corporate Eyes:

"string interlude for toilet replacement"
  4:55pm
northguineahills:

I always thought Angelo Badalamenti and Ennio Morricone should have collaborated.
  4:57pm
dc pi:

beer # 2...
  4:58pm
northguineahills:

Didn't "Experiment in Terror" take place in a neighborhood called Twin Peaks?
  4:58pm
Mike East:

I could see that, ngh. On that note - I've got Fistful of Dollars waiting for me at home on Netflix.
  4:59pm
other david:

loving this show tamar, great tracks.
  4:59pm
dc pi:

good choice Mike, never go wrong with Clint + westerns
  5:01pm
northguineahills:

I just watched "Two Mules for Sister Sara", even his non-Spaghetti westerns were quite good.
  5:03pm
Mike East:

yeah, Fabio put me in the mood for it a few weeks back. Couldn't make it out to the theater, so I'll watch it on vacation.

Nice Nouvelle Vague!!
  5:03pm
Bad Ronald:

Sweet Clash cover, thanks!
  5:05pm
Bad Ronald:

...any Jimmy Cliff handy?
  5:14pm
moose:

we're in here too
  5:19pm
BSI:

damn. Still in ofc. Beer #1 is still but a crazy dream.
  5:21pm
other david:

I think Belle & Sebastian must base half their output on that last track..
  5:26pm
northguineahills:

Damnit, you had to play Julee Cruise, so for the last 15 minutes I've been looking up various Julee Cruise videos. So cruel!
  5:26pm
dc pi:

second thumbs up for Guns of Brixton cover. toilet bowl gone, gnarly 1942 sewer pipe exposed...
  5:31pm
Mike East:

nice job, dc pi. reward yourself with another beer.
  5:32pm
frenchee:

Love that dBs cut, Tamar! Great show, as always.
  5:32pm
dc pi:

re-watching helpful video on installing new bolts, wax seal, drink beer...
  5:33pm
Davice:

Nice sounding show
  5:33pm
northguineahills:

I need to see this helpful video on drinking beer. I might be doing it wrong.
  5:34pm
Brett:

Excellent show
  5:34pm
Detroit Mac:

Cowboy International! Wow... this is a flash from the past!
  5:34pm
Davice:

Use a straw, that will solve all your beer drinking problems!
  5:39pm
Bad Ronald:

Beer is essential for all your plumbing needs!!!
  5:39pm
other david:

This is superb

Also no straws, NO STRAWS. Don't listen to Davice... the straw path leads to unchecked madness.
  5:40pm
Tom - In Gravesend Brooklyn:

a thick straw too ,, like the ones you get with a slurpie...
  5:40pm
Davice:

I know. straws do suck!
  5:42pm
Tom - In Gravesend Brooklyn:
