Off to a roaring start, sir. Getting out of work now, but I'll be listening via the phone and at home later. Knock 'em dead!

Thanks, Spike! See you in Nov.

You think NJ is hot. Try living in St.Louis

Wm.:

I don't go south of Baltimore in Summertime if I can at all avoid it. I'm sure St. Lou is terrible.... But it's also all about what you're accustomed to. San Franciscans call it "cold" when it drops below 45F.

Spike Growl:

Indeed, a pre-birthday bacchanalia will be in order. See you then!

good evening Wm. and other listeners! just tuning in a bit late in the show -- awesome sounds flowing through the air . . . on top of all the wretched humidity, have had a thoroughly rotten evening, much negativity, and not the "fun" kind either . . . the music/ambience is so *soothing* and comforting, THANK YOU WM.!!! . . . so so very grateful, *just* what the Voudoun Queen ordered :)

As a Canadian, you're incapable of objectivity where he's concerned, especially if you're going by My Winnipeg. He does overdraw on the Kuchars and Kenneth Anger, and I don't share his passion for the old silents either, but Brand Upon The Brain is a surreal b&w cupcake of joy.

I don't want any cupcakes of joy!

I meant visually rich, but b&w, so only so rich. More of a mind-fuck perhaps. I liked it. To each....

Amazing show tonight, Wm! Belketre!! The Tukaaria CD was released already, mighty fine job of it too!

Sweating out the sorrow while oozing in audio pleasure. Mighty fine show tonight Wm.

The politic of Belketre did not sink in, but the music ripped (until the talky bit near the end). You must've seen a great, Misfits gig or two I'm guessing...
Avatar 2:34am
Wm.:

Actually no, I came to appreciate The Misfits a bit later. They were really considered part of the hardcore scene, and I wasn't into the garb or the attitude at that time. I got angrier as I got older. I did see great shows by Iggy, The Cramps, Alan Vega, Nash The Slash, later the Minutemen, etc.
  2:38am
Rory:

I think awhile ago i heard you say Wm. that you saw Merzbow in 84?
Avatar 2:41am
Wm.:

Yep, tiny space on Attorney St. in the LES. I went with Fabio. It was just one loud, hot mess—not the sophistication of the records, dare I say, but it was sure fun to watch! Akita Masami and his girlfriend just beating up contact-mic'd sheet metal and kitchen utensils.

dw:

I figured with NJ and all, sounds like you've hit some greatness none the less! Tonight's trailer was particularly hilarious! D...R...E...A...M...S!!!

Thanks for the show!
