Scratchy vanity 45s, pilfered field recordings, muddy off-the-radio sounds, homemade congregational tapes and vintage commercial gospel throw-downs; a little preachin', a little salvation, a little audio tomfoolery.

Like Inspector Gadget, Kevin is always on duty. Thanks and Amen to that

Thank you, but Inspector Gadget is not in my Concordance.

I guess Brother Ray's watching the Democratic National Convention.

Mr. Sinner where do these drop-in ads come from. They're fascinating.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:55pm
sinner:

They were recorded directly off the air back in the 1980s off of gospel AM radio stations in Montgomery, AL by yours truly. The Reverend Izear Espie mother lode of drop-ins I play were recorded c. 2000-2002 by Listener Larry in Jackson, MS and then amazingly and graciously forwarded on to me.

Is it just me, or does this sound a lot like Hearty White?

Great show. Thanks!

I think Hearty White and Izear burn the same blessing candles.

Nice show. I love the obscure gospel oldies. Thanks. Much better than contemporary black gospel.

Kevin you are truly funny. Inspector Gadget not in the concordance. I play your broadcasts while doing my sermons on Friday. The late Ernest Frazier and my mom and dad would have been happy to know you were playing our Silver Cross sides. From the Sons of David and The Crayton Singers.

Ed in Canada:

I always enjoy hearing the White Rose Quartet, and I doubt I'll hear them anywhere else but here. Uniquely American voices.
