Making mexi inspired veggie jambalaya w/ white veggie sausage gravy. Don't ask, I need to do something w/ the white gravy, and I don't want to do the country breakfast any more.
  4:31pm
Nashville record rep:

"I don't want the country breakfast any more"

Involking John Cage's methodology hsa a way of turning a serious musical discussion into a Bob and Ray sketch.

all this amplified cactus sounds the same to me
  4:45pm
northguineahills:

I was preparing napales (prickly pear cacti) to eat and to plant, and it took me a while to realize I needed to wear gloves. Unfortunately, I got the hair thin needles inside the gloves since they were already in my hand and I didn't notice. So, I couldn't use the gloves anymore. To make short story long, I spent the next two days finding and pulling out needles, and a few got infected.
  4:50pm
still b/p:

A hooded fleece dropped accidently onto Grand Canyon cactus during a backpack trip took a handful of focused feel-ups and needle checks/coaxings/tweezings across a few years before I could wear it again without fear.
  4:54pm
CP:

Really enjoying this I.C.E., Kurt. Compelling composition.
  4:55pm
Bovina:

Been a while since I heard any Henry Cow on FMU.
  4:55pm
northguineahills:

ouch, still b/p, I'm still figuring out how to salvage my work gloves.
  5:00pm
Cecile:

don't salvage 'em, toss em, ngh
Also, if you use this old-fashioned drawing salve called "Boil-East" it really is good for pulling small slivers or spines out of your fingers.
  5:03pm
still b/p:

Someone else on the same trip tried to hunker discreetly low when he was taking care of personal business in the scrub and cactus and a woman member of the party walked close by. Modesty hurts. Balance lost, he went down, pants were down -- upper legs and near-butt region got nasty, nnnasty cactus scrapes.
  5:09pm
Cecile:

owoowow
  5:17pm
northguineahills:

cringe.. Good thing I don't care about my modesty.

My napales that I'm growing have the small hair spines already, but the large spines are still soft, so, I'll take your advice, Cecile, Thanks!
  5:17pm
northguineahills:

I would have never guessed that this was Marc Ribot.
  5:18pm
