Philo C. Gristlecorn:

One thought for the left brain, one for the right. Yes? No? Maybe.
  7:21pm
Honey U. Kettlewater:

He does this show by remote from Tallahassee? Or sends in a file? Certain shows it seems clear he's either looking at our comments for content of his S.O.C., or even of the just-prior playlist comments. Just wondering how / where this is broadcast.
  7:22pm
Honey U. Kettlewater:

Cap'n, did you eat the brown acid against better advice?

Honey U. Kettlewater:

Yeah, let's do all the remaining comments in rhyming couplets. [sorry, that will be hard to rhyme, so next starting the next one]
  7:26pm

Danne Duckcaller:

I dunno honey
Hard enough to funny

  7:31pm
Fredericks:

Hearty is laying out too much truth. Last show!
  7:31pm
Wanker Q. Farthwhar:

Service? I thought I was doing my Country a service while laboring in the Peace Corps (under Reagan, when you had to be doing something.) Turns out, service is attributed to the paid military ONLY. The several times I had a loaded AK pointed at me, the traffic accidents, boat sinkings, diseases, infections and natural disasters (including a volcanic eruption and 3 typhoons)- they don't really count for a thing in a time when employees of the War Department get lifetime benefits and gratitude on parade on the several Veteran's Days (today being one more) we have every year.
Don't join the Peace Corps. There is no point trying to convince other nations that we care about them in 2012, especially if you are doing it for free. The definition of Volunteering= not being paid. Is service the same as not being paid to do something, Hearty, if the work is well-intended? Or is service being paid to go do whatever destructive things your commanders say to do?
  7:33pm
Honey U. Kettlewater:

What's that you say, Fred, Hearty no mo'?
  7:34pm
Captain Terrill:

I want Colenal Kurtz in my bath tub!
  7:34pm
Philo C. Gristlecorn:

Arthur Gordon Pym's great, narrative or no!
  7:35pm
Danne Duckcaller:

Take care, everyone. Be good to each other.
  7:35pm
Michael P. Eastfeather:

Speaking of Kurtz, I'm gonna start watching Hearts of Darkness tonight, i think.
  7:35pm
Honey U. Kettlewater:

Bye, Danne!! Have a good 'un!
  7:36pm
Philo C. Gristlecorn:

Great doc, Mike! The book by Eleanor Coppola's really good, too.
  7:36pm
Devin Gristlewater:

Take care Danne! Enjoy that birch!
  7:36pm
Honey U. Kettlewater:

We saw a load of films in the past few days, just timing of when our library had them available.
  7:36pm
Michael P. Eastfeather:

later, DD
  7:37pm
Captain Terrill:

Michael,
I want to see the Orson Welles unmade version of the book!
  7:38pm
Devin Gristlewater:

How do y'all find the time to watch so many movies? I feel lucky if I can manage to find enough time to read a little each day...
  7:38pm
Michael P. Eastfeather:

I'll have to add that to the queue, Captain
  7:38pm
Philo C. Gristlecorn:

The Artist (okay as novelty for novices, but if you'e seen silent films before, watch some oldies instead), Sherlock Holmes 2 (okay, but read Conan Doyle instead), Q Planes (fun Brit romp from the 30s with Sir Laurence and others).
  7:38pm
Honey U. Kettlewater:

Open notice to whomever is "ATT" on the comments occasionally: I will be posting a tribute to *you* sometime tomorrow (at soundcloud/kat330)! A little something for all the joy you've brought me. :)
  7:39pm
Devin Gristlewater:

Having said that, I suppose that could be time that I occasionally use to watch films.
  7:40pm
Fredericks:

He changed the subject. Probably safe, for now.
  7:40pm
Captain Terrill:

OM, OM, OM, OM ,OM, OM, OM, OM, OM
  7:40pm
Honey U. Kettlewater:

@Devin: I ask the same question of the people who listen to many of the live FMU/GTDR programs AND find time for archives.
  7:41pm
Philo C. Gristlecorn:

Used to see around 100 movies a month in my youth. Got caught up, and now 2-3 a week if it's a good one!
  7:42pm
Fredericks:

GTDR, Honey? Get that dog right?
  7:42pm
Honey U. Kettlewater:

He'd watch more than that if I didn't crack the whip. :)
  7:43pm
DPCD:

Does anyone else have to listen again on the archives to enjoy this show enough, or am I just slow?
  7:43pm
Captain Terrill:

The school boys are laughing at my male tits flopping about in the swimming pool, my nipples clamped to my floater, pleae put me under the water!
  7:44pm
Honey U. Kettlewater:

@DPCD: Yes, it's really difficult to listen AND try to comment -- especially directly on his content.
  7:45pm
Fredericks:

DPCD: Upon second listen, it resonates more.
  7:45pm
Honey U. Kettlewater:

Fredericks: Give the Drummer Radio. Surely you know of that brethren stream here?
  7:45pm
Captain Terrill:

Hearty is doing this live Kat, going by my last comment and his afterwards!
  7:46pm
Michael P. Eastfeather:

@Devin - it takes a lot of effort to watch the amount of films that I do. Part of it for me is trying to make the most of my Netflix dollar. I also LOVE watching movies and will give almost anything a chance.
  7:46pm
Devin Gristlewater:

@HUK: What GTDR shows do you recommend?

@PCG: You clearly are made of stronger temporal stuff than I, Philo.
  7:47pm
Honey U. Kettlewater:

Yes, I always figured he was, but from what location?
  7:48pm
Devin Gristlewater:

@The Good Captain: Deep thought, regardless of chronological freshness, resonates with listeners deeply.
  7:48pm
Captain Terrill:

going to test him again shortly!
  7:48pm
Michael P. Eastfeather:

@Philo - that dog is the best part of the Artist. I really enjoyed it, but yes, old silent films are better. I may skip Sherlock Holmes 2
  7:49pm
Honey U. Kettlewater:

@Devin: Try this link to see: http://wfmu.org/table?period=7115
Mostly it's a stream without live programming. I can't think of a live program I would *not* recommend.
  7:51pm
Captain Terrill:

Na Nach,
Uman Uman Rosh Hashanah
Rebbe Nachman says death is going from one room to another!
I am going before you what is there to be scared of?
  7:51pm
Devin Gristlewater:

@HUK: Alrighty! NOTE has been taken.
Looking forward to basking within it.
  7:52pm
Philo C. Gristlecorn:

@Mike I think the hype & hoopla kinda killed it for me. It's never as good as you expect, and I loved all the Buster Keaton, Charlie Chaplin & Harold Lloyd films as a kid. So going in with low expectations always helps! Which is why I tend to like films I've never even heard of best.
  7:52pm
Michael P. Eastfeather:

I'm partial to Nazario Scenario myself
  7:52pm
Captain Terrill:

what was the demon's name who replaced King Solo on his throne?
  7:53pm
Philo C. Gristlecorn:

I'm always at work for all the shows Honey raves about, and no streaming allowed. Gripe & groan.
  7:54pm
Captain Terrill:

Treife!
  7:56pm
DPCD:

Wanker Q is just mad he chose wrong in an obviously gun-loving, pushy idiot-laden country. Before it got paranoid on 9-11 and decided to go totally nuts!
  7:56pm
Captain Terrill:

I'll take the White Album!
  7:57pm
Honey U. Kettlewater:

How about that Hantavirus, eh? And I was touting the beauty and wonders of Yosemite on these lists back in the spring....
  7:57pm
Philo C. Gristlecorn:

James T. Panzee. Call me "Jim"
  7:58pm
Devin Gristlewater:

Well my wonderful friends, I shall see you all next week. And perhaps sooner, with different names, hairstyles, and corduroy suspenders. Have a lovely night.
  7:58pm
Fredericks:

I make pods and cast them to the wind!
  7:58pm
Michael P. Eastfeather:

g'nite, Devin and the Miracle Nutrition gang.
  7:59pm
Captain Terrill:

The camptown races are the best do dah do dah, beatles bones and smoking stones, hey bungalow bill what did you kill, hey bong head bill, go get stoned!
  7:59pm
Philo C. Gristlecorn:

Likewise, Monsieur Devin!
  7:59pm
Honey U. Kettlewater:

G'night, Devin! Yes, you've been very successful keeping alternate personae secret, while everyone knows us. Who else do you comment under?
  7:59pm
Michael P. Eastfeather:

I've heard it Fredericks - good stuff!
  7:59pm
Philo C. Gristlecorn:

And a good night to all the rest of you!
  7:59pm
Honey U. Kettlewater:

G'night and TY, Hearty! Sweet dreams to you good folks!
  8:00pm
Fredericks:

Thanks, Michael!
  8:00pm
Fredericks:

And Hearty!
  8:01pm
Captain Terrill:

see you hearty, when you are breslov, when your stony heart shall become flesh!
  8:03pm
Fredericks:

Bye, Whiters.
  8:10pm
Captain Terrill:

are you still there?
