	11:34am scott: Don't believe everything you read, Mike. Nobody kicked anybody out of anything. The end of the reunion tour, I believe, was this weekend at Wembley. All that happened was that Mike booked tour dates for his other band, which is a completely separate entity from the real Beach Boys, with different personnel. He pays a licensing fee to bill his touring band as the Beach Boys, but they are not the actual Beach Boys and no one pretends that they are (except for Mike, maybe).

It would have been nice to see him do the classy thing, but c'mon, he's Mike Love, so what do we expect?

	12:23pm scott: Jeff, it's not exactly news that Mike (Love, not Shelley) is a small-minded philistine egomaniac, so it seems a little pointless to get overly upset about it at this late date. Part of the experience of being a Beach Boys fan is watching them shoot themselves in the foot on a regular basis. It was a wonderful miracle that the reunion tour came together and was as good as it was, and we should be thankful that they were able to hold it together for an entire tour. For better or worse, Mike has been touring with his oldies band for the past dozen years, and—as nice as it would have been if he'd taken a year off and done another proper reunion tour—it doesn't seem unreasonable for him to want to go back to his fulltime job, whatever we may think of it.
